The last time we saw each other was in Wiesbaden in 1974, shortly after the release of "Fly to the Rainbow". You gave me a copy, signed by the whole band at the bar, after our two bands had finished work for the evening. I still have it today! It's great to see that the Scorpions are still performing after all these years. My last band, Wednesday, later renamed Belcanto, split up in 2001 after a member died. I have had some success as a songwriter and producer, with two no. 1 hit singles, plus a self-produced no. 1 album under my belt. I still have a number of unused songs left that were initially intended for Wednesday's third album, which never happened. It only recently occurred to me that one of these, called "This Island Earth" might be suitable for the Scorpions, so I began looking for ways to contact you. I never dreamed it would be this easy!
