Versions of tracks

Unread postby nunoandy » February 24th, 2013, 4:36 pm

Sorry to bother you all, but I am trying to clear up a few queries about different versions of Scorpions tracks. Hope you don't mind me asking:

1) I understand there was a CD Single released in 1989 of "Holiday" (Remix), including "The Zoo" (Remix). Are these remixes available on any other releases, such as compilations? Is it the same remix of "Holiday" as on the "Deadly Sting" compilation?

2) I also understand that there is a track on the "The Best Of Rockers & Ballads" CD called "China White" (U.S. Version). What is the difference between this version and the original album version?

3) Is there an exclusive track on the Promo CD Single of "Aleyah" called "I Go Where I Go"? If so, is this the only place it can be obtained?

4) Is it true that Mousse T remixed the track "To Be No. 1"? Anyone know where this might be available?

5) I notice there may be spanish versions of "Love Drive", "Rock You Like A Hurricane", "Rhythm Of Love", and "Believe In Love". Is this true, and any idea where they might be available?

As you can see, I am trying to ensure I have all tracks that are not on any albums, including the MANY compilations. Any assistance would be great.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi! I only know about the difference between China White (European version) and China White (American Version), Rudolf's riff is different because he couldn't chose between the two riffs.
On the net, I once saw a post of someone claiming that there was a studio version of All Night Long contained in a collection called "the best of Japan" (1977) but I never found a trace of it, so I assume it's a fake!

Regarding the Mousse T remix, I found this:
Watch on youtube.com
!
I don't think this is the same song of the Scorps :D

I only know of the differences in both Holiday and China White. The version of Holiday on BORB has the extended outro solo Rudy did that was faded out sooner in Lovedrive, and the version of China White on BORB has the solo, again from Rudy that was on the European version of Blackout as opposed to what was on the US version. So for those n Europe there was no difference to what they had. Rudy had said he had two versions of the solo and could not decide which to use, so he used one on the Euro version and the other on the US one.

Mousse T remixed To be n1 and it was released as a promo 12"single for promo use.
I have a copy,it's a club remix of the track, with no guitars and just Klaus singing.

Helpful info, thank you.

Does anyone have the 1989 single of "Holiday" (Remix) / "The Zoo" (Remix), and can verify when, where and by whom they were remixed? The version of "Holiday" on the Deadly Sting compilation looks to be remixed in 1989, which suggests it is the same remix.

Is there also a 1989 remix of "Hey You" and "Big City Nights"? If so, what were they released on?

The compilation "Best Of Rockers & Ballads" is stated on Wikipedia as containing the Long Verison of "Is There Anybody there", but it looks to be the same length as the version elsewhere. I assume that is an error on Wikipedia.

So does the U.S. version of "China White" feature only on the US CD of "Blackout"? On Wikipedia, it says it is on the CD version of "Best Of Rockers & Ballads", but does not specify what country's release.

On Best Of Rockers & Ballads there were 4 songs remixed.
Big city nights
Is there anybody there
Holiday(different remix than the one at SLY compilation)
