HELLO EVERYBODY! I´VE BEEN OUT OF THE FORUM FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS BUT I MUST LET YA ALL KNOW THIS.
I´VE RECEIVED THIS WEIRD EMAIL OF SOMEBODY PRETENDING TO BE JAMES KOTTAK AND OBVIOUSLY IS NOT HIM, AND I POST IT HERE AS A REPORT OF PHISING OR WHATEVER THEY CALL THIS IN ITS COMPUTERING JERGON:

Hello

I'm writing this message to you with sadness in my heart. I came down here to Philippines with my family for a short vacation but unfortunately, we were mugged and robbed at the park of the hotel where we stayed. All cash, credit cards and cell phones were stolen off us but luckily for us we still have our lives and passports.

We've been to the embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all and our flight leaves in less than 5hrs from now but we are having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills can you help us out? Get back to me immediately to let you know the easiest way to get the fund to us.

We are depressed at the moment.

WHAT A NASTY WAY TO TRY TO TAKE ADVANTEGE OF HIS FANS... OF COURSE I´VE TRIED TO LET JAMES TO KNOW...ANYWAY, WHEN I FOUND THIS AND THOUGHT ABOUT THEY WAY THEY´VE USED A CELEBRITY IN SUCH A PURPOSE I COULD´T HELP FINDING IT HILARIOUS!

This was circulating Facebook...I was in LA, when I heard about it...
INDEED FALSE!!!..how do I Actually know?
Because I was with James at the time this was being posted around FB...
He played with some friends of mine...More about this in another topic..

But yeah crap like that just makes me crack up!

This was a facebook/email incident...not a forum one.
A hacker got into James email acct. then posted on his facebook page.
It isnt fair to blame or make fun of Peter for this...This is just my thoughts.

I read in the newspaper about this!
it was a "Hacker"; somebody stole James adress and write this mail to everybody in his adressbook!
james was in US at this time, Rudolf and the management told this, it was not really from, James!
His angree about this ***!

its not just James. i have received at least 6 emails from softball players on my team in the last 6 months with this threat..

So i stole Thomas( fos daddy) credit cards and everyone is free now...lol..

I got it too and posted it on FB to Celine and Savage Amusement and asked them to contact James about it. Celine contacted me and told me that it was a hack job. FYI: There is a suspect of who may be at fault.
