Just a sidenote here:
average salaries are the same in Hungary like in Bulgary.
An average one is 250-300 euros/month, and the utilities are quite hig, I mean amonth of utilities, and everything is so expensive.
It is my reason not to be able to efford as many trips to Scorps, and Uli shows as I would like to.

I am so very sorry for spanish people.
I know that economic situation is difficult in the whole world nowadays.
YNWA wrote:Marina, dear.. I don`t argue with you. It`s just ..yeah, probably, not THE MAIN reason for not coming to UK, Spain and so on. For example, may be UK concert tickets are one of the most expensive in Europe, so it seems money are not the problem.

And, even in Bulgaria with 7,500 000 ppl population, 20 000 ppl can afford tickets, no matter what. So what about bigger countries as Spain and UK

I totally get your point, times are very tought now, people can`t afford to buy themselves a food, so in the more cases having fun is not in their budget. I know it best.. Here the situation is even worst.. With average salary around 250 euro  .. it`s not that easy to give 30 euro for ticket, cause you`ll live with this 30 euro a couple of days...

Too much off-topic, I`m sorry..

I really hope Scorpions will come to Spain, UK and everywhere.. :P
Klaus-THE SPECIAL ONE,
Rudolf-THE WISE ONE,
Matthias-THE COOL ONE,
Pawe-THE SIMPLE ONE,
James-THE CRAZY ONE,
The Scorpions are THE NICEST GUYS.

The Whole lack of any UK dates just stinks! We've supported them over the years yet they can't be bothered to come over to say thank you. So many other bands maked the effort, why not the Scorpions? As a fan of oer 30 years, I'm really disappointed with them. Maybe we don't pay enough for them to be bothered to make the effort. Guess they'll be wanting us to buy whatever merchandise, CD's DVD's etc they'll be putting out one they quit touring. Our ££££ will be good enough then. THANKS FOR NOTHING :x :(

To see the farewell message is an insult to all us UK based fans who have followed and bought albums etc by the scorps.
To not even do one date in the UK is a massive 2 fingers up to the people who have spend good money over the years.
Would love to hear why they could not be bothered coming here.
Thanks for nothing.

I was lucky enough to see them in Munich a couple of weeks ago, and spoke to Matthias when we went to his shop. He said that there is possibly a festival next year that they will be playing. I know it is annoying and frustrating that we haven't had one date on this tour, but according to Klaus, they haven't finished yet, so fingers crossed.

Hopefully they will come would love to see them one more time.
Manchester apollo would be nice even as part of a double tour like when they supported Judas Preist.

It is a shame we'll not see them over here. But, Michael Schenker is about to tour the UK. He has Herman R and Francis B playing for him.

You get all the classic MSG and UFO material, plus a few Scorps tracks too. RYLAH/Coast to Coast/Lovedrive/Another Piece of Meat & Blackout.

Saw him last year in Manchester - fantastic. Year before that in Holmfirth, fantastic. Going to see him again this year in Holmfirth, can't wait!

I saw him supporting the Scorpions at Manchester Apollo in 2008 (I think it was, or 2007) and he was dreadfull. He's turned himself around, lost weight & is sober; he's is probably playing better now than at any other point in his career!

Check out Youtube, look for 'michael schenker group temple of rock'.

This is really really disappointing. To tell the UK fans that they are just not worth the money they would be paid is a real kick in the teeth. 2nd stage at Download is a good enough arena and can hold 30k fans easily. The thing is though, we don't want fancy gimmicks and watching Kottak drumming along to a video, we just want to see the band play for one last time. It's all about the music.
Scorpions are just not big enough in the UK to headline mainstage at Download. One example given is Volbeat, they are headlining RaR yet are happy to play mid way up 2nd at Download. I guess the Scorpions feel they don't need to prove anything anymore and their UK fans just don't matter. This makes me sad. I don't think there will be another chance to play in the UK after publishing those comments.

They are certainly not doing themselves any favours by saying this, I am disappointed by these comments as well, especially when Matthias said they were looking to play a festival in the UK this year, I guess the money means more to them than pleasing the UK fans, like you say devilman, we aren't after all the pyros etc, we just want to see the band play!

Gutted, but NOT surprised by Rudolf's 'reasons'. Disappointed but I will move on from this and say, THANK YOU Scorpions for the 30+ years I have followed you.
I WILL FOLLOW YOU NO MORE. If my British money is not good enough then it stays firmly in my pocket and I will never part with a single penny for any Scorpions concert ...ever! Instead, my money will go to more worthy musical acts who do not put money before their fans   !!!!
