Just as Tom said, having a walk in the snow can be a very nice experience, even when it's very cold (about -10°C, when Galya is lying in a bikini at the beach). The problem is first the moisture in the air and the wind. Without wind you can easily stand temperatures of -20°C or less. But when there is wind the heat of your body is taken away by convection and you become cold, quite fast.
I remember as a teen i had to walk 2 times in at least 3 feet of snow ..
Once to hockey practice and once to my job .. my legs hated me for a week
