Girls just wanna have FUN!

Re: Girls just wanna have FUN!

Yes, yes.. But there are just so many Birthdays and celebrations during November and December (and especially December) that I really should try not to drink to much or I`ll die  Worst thing is that the special days are for my very close and special friends, so I cannot hide but raise my glasses for cheers after cheers!

And Munich dream smeels like "Beer, beer, beer" with my girls, girls, girls.. and not only! So what should I do. May be start drinking non-alcoholic beer? :naughty: :shhh: :snooty:

Crazykid, I am joining to Curry with my opinion:
I never have got sense of your jokes, but ok, never mind.

Hey girls, let's Curry to ruin her liver from now.
Finally this period of a year is always about eating-drinking, at least December is.

Curry dear, phew non-alcoholic beer, it really yuck!
Its taste doesn't compare to the real one at all.

Hahaha Nada, you are really funny.

Hooray! Thanks, Gabi! Yey! Of course, this eat-drink-party period is coming, so... we just have to survive, no excuses! And thanks for supporting me for not-drinking the nonalcoholic beer! Yes, it never tastes as the real one!

Cheers, my girls! Even though I am drinking coffee right now in order to wake up! Two more days and then Saturday, party at home for my sis Birthday! 8-)

Wow, all those birthdays and celebrations you people have these days. Hans & I also went to a wedding here last weekend, and mmm, it was good food. (I have to think of food all the time this morning..) But I don't know how we ended up drinking only 1 glass of wine each.. it felt like we were somehow drunk enough already before that!

Non-alcoholic beer... urgh! Have never tried it but it sounds like a turn-off. I'd rather have a juice instead..

Gabi, something for you: I think of you often, because I know a family here; the guy is German and his wife Hungarian. She actually comes from the hungarian minority in Romania. They're such a nice couple! And everytime I see her I have to think of you. We were invited at their place last week and had some wines there..(more than at the wedding). They spoke some hungarian to each other too, and I have to say I really, really liked how it sounded!
(I know, this doesn't completely fit in this topic, but hey, it still involves some wine)

  yeah in fact that was a joke, but thats only because last time I promised, I couldnt keep my promise, and the whole Munich thing was out of my control, so im afraid to promise again! :lol
but by "almost promise" i meant that ill definitely do my best to make it to another show or FOS event...

Well, my sister's birthday is on the 1st of November, my nameday is also on the 25th. 12th of November is also a marked day on the calendar and on the 21st there's another celebration on the Belgian side. 24th of December is Evgenia's and grandma's nameday. But still I can't beat you. St. Nicolas is on the same day here too, it's also a big day.

Ahh, your nameday, of course.. I have so many (but not so close) relatives with your name. But we celebrate Saint eKaterina on 24 nov.. Anyway, doesn`t matter - the more celebrations, the better. Even though the other side of the coin is not so funny - many, many costs for presents

Hello girls,

Hello Kate,

It's so nice to see youhere.
Thank you for thinking me so frequently.
I am glad you liked sound of hungarian language.
What is the hungarian lady's first name?

Hey, Hungary basicly isn't an ortodox country, but we also celebrate namedays.
Mine is on the 12 of December, so one more reason of celebrating in Munich, yes?

Kate, your nameday is on the 25th of November in Hungary, too, just the hungarian variation is: Katalin.

Have a positive, funny day to all.
Oh, and there is a party in my family also tomorrow.
My dad's bro, and family are visiting us tomorrow.
My sis is cooking lunch, it will be homemade pizza, yummy. :D

wowowow! Curry, indeed your list of name-birthdays is really impressing   ( btw, your mom's bday is on one date with my hubby's bday  )
And, as for the celebrating of namedays - in Russia we celebrate that name day, which is the closest to one's bday ( coz for many russian names there are many namedays during the year. For ex, if to celebrate each nameday of my husband, our livers won't survive for sure  ( it's almost every week )). Besides yep, we usually celebrate only big orthodox namedays, among which, btw, my nameday also ( it's only once in the year - on sept, 30th - we celebrate the nameday of russian names Nadezhda (mine), Vera, Liubov and the Mother Sofia (Надежда, Вера, Любовь и Мать София) ( the meaning of the names is( accordingly) Hope, Belief, Love and Wisdom). But actually we ( my family) don't usually celebrate any name day, just bithdays and other markable dates.
But ok, I've checked the celebration of St Nikola's day in Russian Ortodox Church, and , haha, I found out we celebrate 3 St Nicola's days! ( in december, but, as Russian Church has a bit different calendar, we celebrate it on 19th of dec, also in May and in August ). Still, I'll raise my glass on the 6th of Dec for our sweet Klaus for sure :)

And, of course, Gabi, we'll drink for your health and will celebrate your name day in Munich :) ( I'll bring some presents for you, dear :) )

Wishihng a good friday to everyone, and, of course, have a wonderful rocking weekend, my friends :) :)
( Tomorrow I'll have a day trip to Finland to have some shopping, and just to enjoy the spirit of this wonderful country :) )
Best wishes, Nadya

It's great to be here, to see you all!

...'Coz you're engraved deep in my heart....:romance-heartbeating:

Ah, yes.. Our calendars are different. We use the Gregorian one, you - the Julian /Юлиански calendar. That`s why we celebrate Вяра/Vera/Vyara, Надежда/Nadezhda/Nadya, Любов/Lubov/Lubima/Luba и/and София/Sophia/Sofia (official celebration of Sofia the capital, named on Saint Sofia) on 17th september.

 Maybe you will see me more often here now, as I'm in a moment of desparation :P - I just did some search for my first semester-paper and I realized that...where and how the hell will I find all that information I need for it?? The only place that seems more helpful is the bibliotheke of the university of Düsseldorf, Germany. Aua..

Interesting thing with St. Ekaterina in Bulgaria on the 24th..I wonder why! Hehe.
We celebrate Sofia (Σοφία) and Love/Belief/Hope (in greek it is: Agapi Αγάπη, Pisti Πίστη, Elpida Ελπίδα) on the 17th of September too.
Btw "vera" in greek means "wedding ring" (it doesn't exist as a name).

Gabi, her name is Magdolna, but she called herself Magdi to us. :) And it seems in hungarian there are different pronunciations of the sound "a". It sounds more like "Mogdi". Right?
Thanks for the info about my nameday, I like how it sounds, Katalin. :D

Mmm, those dinners your sister makes, I wouldn't mind being present at one! Have fun!!!

Aw, my fault.. 25th is here too  Sorry..

I know what is like to be in this situation with finding sources. I`ve graduated in Public Relations and there were so little sources in Bulgarian, Google Books are payed :| and no chances to use some other literature in a foriegn country...

But, it`s a perfect excuse to come to O and M shows and pass by in Dusseldorf. Me and Adry will be there, so we`ll gladly help you with printing 87645863 pages of... (subject?) ;)

Hahahaha! Finding a reason everywhere! (subject: I don't even know yet exactly. But it has to do with "love" in the works of Thomas Mann or Brecht or Kafka) Yes that would be a great combination. You should be Scorpions' promoter
I would love to meet you all...(that's why I would do it) But, too much money! I'm afraid middle of December is already late, besides I will be in Belgium right after Christmas.. Cologne and Düsseldorf are one step from there
