In Short


The video is from 2009. A camera crew escorted the band for a week. The band is talking about how hard it is to be on the road for many months. Matthias says when his son asked him when he would come back home after he was on tour for 6 months, he told him round about 3 more months... and this was so hard. They are in very comfortable hotel suits, but this is their PRIVACY, when they are on tour. This is the only privacy they have. (should not we, the fans, respect this little bit of privacy?) When their women/girlfriend are with the Scorps, they have rare time to spend with them. Klaus is happy, that Gabi respect his rock life.
They played with the Berliner Philharmonicss and it´s another level, if you play Rock'n'Roll or classic music. The band has to practice, to play their songs with the orchestra.
They are getting the award "goldene Henne" for Wind Of Change.
In the video you see how much the travel and like Rudi says, you need to be "waky, waky, waky" every time, doesn´t matter how much sleep they got the night before.
James and Pawel are the third generation of Scorpions. In all the years, they are very close friends and they can count on each others. In the beginning of their carrier Klaus had a flat tire and no tools in his old bus. He called Rudi and he came with his also old car and changed the tire. Klaus knew, just a very good friend would do that and that he can count on Rudi.

I loved this video back then, even tho I didn't understand it. It melts the heart to know that they are one of the most iconic and legendary rock bands in the world and yet they were so open and accessible to us!! Thx for some of the translation Tom, there is a helluva lot to translate.

Renata, you are too kind for forgiving me.
Curry, I didn't recognize anyone else, but how exciting for such an important video to have faces we know. I am hoping that when they record their final video in Munich that I will see many that I know too.

This has been one of the most important occurrences that has ever happened in my life, to get to know so many wonderful people from all over the world, simply from one rock band. Ahh but that rock band is one of the most iconic bands in the world. The ONLY band that has never quit, broken up, have never stopped recording in the studio, never stopped touring AND have never had bad press regarding drug abuse, rehab, or in-fighting amongst the members. THAT my friends, is why they are not respected here in the States, I feel. No bad press means no press at all. I also blame management for allowing our boys to go down the drain to where many in North America, don't even know that Scorps are still a viable working band. It saddens me every day to think that they came here for a reason and that reason has faded.

But at least some of us rediscovered them and regardless what I have said in the past, I am proud that I got that chance and that inspite of being one of the most infamous and influential bands of the century in rock history, they were so accessible to many of us and made us feel so important and like we were more than just a fan.

Thank you guys. That's all I can say, my heart is swelling, overflowing with such amazing love for you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
