“A moment in a million years
Is all I´ve got for you
A moment in a million years
To make some dreams come true
A moment that I won´t forget
Until the day I die
A moment in a million years
Called life”

I think the only one Scorps concert I was at and didn't write a review was on day 20 in October 2002 in Nizhny Novgorod during the Living Tour. It was my first concert of the band and it was their first tour by Russia. There's no my review available of that show just because I haven't had Internet that time, I got it almost 2 years later as u may see by my registration date in the forum.
The preview. I've known Scorpions since early childhood, cause my dad's cousin was (or maybe still is, I dunno, I haven't seen him for years) their big fan. And even if he lives in the other city when we went to visit him he always let to listen to Scorps. When I went to school I didn't have time for music, just busy with studies and then staying outside with friends. But then once when I was about 10 years old I was in one commercial centre with my parents and I got so attracted by one song. I felt like I've already heard it but couldn't remember what song it was. I asked mom who's playing and she answered that it might be Scorpions and then my dad confirmed that it was the Scorps' song. To be honest I don't remember now which song it was, but I bet it was SLY or WOC or maybe SMAA, it was a ballad anyway. But that time I was so impressed that brought parents to the music store in that commercial centre and asked to buy a Scorps album. The only cassette of Scorps available was Gold Ballads. OK, better than nothing. I think I heard that record a million of times, and if at the start I was simply enjoying the music, later I was trying to catch every instrument, every note. All those years I was trying to find some other recordings but it was not easy for a provincial town in Russia in the middle of 90's but all the same Tokyo Tapes, Taken By Force, Face the Heat, Hot and Slow compilation...for my 15th birthday my friend presented me eye to eye, I was shocked, even didn't recognize them, thought that maybe my friend was mistaken and it's not MY Scorps, but no..u could read their names written on the cover. Then I bought Acoustica and was calmed a bit even if I didn't like it much. And I had just a couple of video records – live in Berlin 91 and my record of their concert in Kremlin with orchestra that was broadcasted by TV on Xmas night (yep, it was the best Xmas gift). So, I knew how they look like just by those two records and some pix on the album covers..
The show. About a month before the concert I was reading a newspaper in the kitchen drinking tea with cookies and then SUDDENLY I saw the announce that Scorps are going to play in Nizhny Novgorod! There was all the page busy with that news. I was happy like a pig in the *** and decided for myself that I must be there. I've to say that I'm not from that city exactly, but from the province, so there r about 40 kms to NN city from me. I went to my parents with that newspaper saying that Scorps were going to play almost in our backyard and that I'll be there in any case would they let me go or no. Since it was another city, the concert in the evening and I still was just 17 my mom decided to go with me to make me a company. We bought the tickets to the fan-zone, payed 300 rub for them, by that time about 10 euro/10$. The day of the concert the weather was too bad, it was snowing and raining and cold enough...but I was so excited about the show that even didn't care about the weather. Finally I could see them! Btw, since I was without internet I even didn't know the setlist and so I was excited even more to know which songs they would play. When we arrived to the Palace of Sports there were so many people already, and most of them worn in leather...I haven't ever seen so many rockers at once before! We went to the main doors, but there was a long queue...and then the policeman said that there r other doors opened at the sides. So, we went there and there was no queue at all, we got to the arena in one minute. Pity that the fan-zone was behind the parterre with seats...but we could get into the first row there to the right side of Achim and it didn't seem far, it was possible to see all the stage. There was a contest of Queen of Rock before the show, but all people were so impatient that only screamed Sco-rpi-ons! Everyone was excited and impatient..also because it doesn't happen every day that the world rock stars visit your city. No need to say how great was the concert, every song was a surprise to me, it was all so new..but I could recognize every song and I sang 'em all! There's a setlist:

Intro and Coming Home
Bad Boys Running Wild
The Zoo
We’ll Burn the Sky
Tease me Please Me
Coast to Coast
Always Somewhere
Holiday
You and I
No One Like You
Big City Nights
Dynamite
Drum Solo
Blackout
Wind of Change
Still Loving You
Rock You Like a Hurricane
When the Smoke is Going Down

Right now I would be pissed off by this setlist..so short and only classics..but that time I was so happy to hear them. Many people were singing there and after a couple of songs even VIPs raised their asses from the seats! After the show the train to my city was full of people from the concert with Scorps flags (given free by the sponsors) and we all sang their songs and all were so happy and still excited. Well, I didn't get backstage, I didn't meet them at the hotel and/or airport, so, I didn't get an autograph, I didn't buy anything from their store coz I simply didn't see it and didn't know it was (coz we entered not from the main door, but after the show I saw people with VHS of MOG and Acoustica and was angry on myself that I didn't check for the store), I didn't get a drumstick or a guitar pick that time... But I saved the tickets and... later I found out that there was a webcam broadcast by Internet of that show. The video sucks but audio is good and time to time I listen to it with nostalgia and a big pleasure when Klaus pronounces the name of the city. There were more shows, more cities after, there were autographes, photos with the band, drumsticks and guitar picks, drinks together... but the concert so close to home, especially when it's the first, one is unforgettable.. And I forgive them the standard setlist, the standard phrases spoken by Klaus, Rudolf' s errors during the solos and only want to THANK them for amazing experience and for the feast they gave and keep on giving me.

Thanks for the review Inna.
I like your idea to postwrite the review of your very first show.

Yep, the first show will remain always the most special one for everyone, I think so.
Klaus-THE SPECIAL ONE,
Rudolf-THE WISE ONE,
Matthias-THE COOL ONE,
Pawe-THE SIMPLE ONE,
James-THE CRAZY ONE,
The Scorpions are THE NICEST GUYS.

Well, u know that u may find the reviews to all of the shows I've been to. And there was missing only this one..but there was no right time to write it... Yep, the first show was cool, but I remember all of the shows and they were somehow special  When u go to several shows during the same tour some of them become standard, but when u see shows from different tours they all get special.
Don't think I'll visit many shows in the future...hope for at least one. But the question is not in the quantity, the question is to see at least once or not to see at all. That time 10 years ago I even didn't know if I could have an opportunity to see them once again, and every time when I went to the shows I thought the same: who knows if I'll see and meet them again?
