What a great day it was Visiting Mattias in His store!!!

Thank you so much Mattias!!!

This was an amazing gesture for him to allow us into his store and get to see him play after travelling so far to see the band.This shows what an amazing person he is letting us have a day we will never forget and giving us some of his time to talk with us about the past and the future of the Band we love!!!.

There are many famous artists in the world who show a sad lack of respect to their fans but Mattias has again proved how the scorpions love and appreciate all of their fans all over the world.

Maybe the next time, Klaus and Rudy may even be able to pay a visit to the store!!!!! :

nice, but wondering why Matthias wears a scarve more often nowadays? I've never seen him wear a scarf that muched before.

I asked him the same thing in an email, he didn't find it worth giving me an answer. Maybe that was his way of saying "none of your business why I am wearing the scarves"!! Just kidding around here, but it was a curious thing for me too. Maybe one of you can get an answer.

Note: Reminds me of when Klaus suddenly got the necktie idea......

?? Curry, Klaus wears the necktie on stage, not scarves and they aren't around his throat. He has the tie laying loose. However, MJ is wearing the scarves a lot off stage. He has always had his own way of dressing tho. Like the 80's!! What a fashion trender....now I call him the fashion rockinista. But he looks good in anything....esp those light blue jeans and just a shirt (Wacken 2006 photo).

BTW, the party in December is going to be off the hook!! Meaning, simply amazing, with the fan convention *THE VERY FIRST AND POSSIBLY ONLY ONE EVER IN THE HISTORY OF SCORPS*, the party at MJG and then the show!!! Whoa baby!!

I just hope everyone pitches in what they can....one person can't be expected to foot the entire bill.

wonder if Rudolf ever goes to MJ's store?

He has been there before, but they haven't been there for any of MJ's M&G's since the first one. It's been wondered why by many fans. Neither has Klaus been there since the Grand Opening party. But I would think that Pawel and James would love to be there for the final tour show in December...they both love a good party. ha You can only hope, yeah?

But Phuong, his hair has been thinning since the 80's, poor guy. With his money tho and the technology they have in Germany, (which by the way, surpasses most countries), he could have done something to get his beautiful hair back. I think the scarves are just another one of his fashion statements that he has made throughout his career as a Scorpion. He was wearing clothes that were very fashion forward back in the day. I call him our fashion rockinista!!

ok guys, as I am a bit too busy and found out that I am late with my review here, so I will copy what I wrote on the Lebanese FOSers group on facebook, where I shared my experience and stressed on stuff related to Lebanon as Matthias sent a nice message to the lebanese fans through me...

I will write another small review to share my wonderful experience with forum FOSers that i met and the awesome time spent together

hello to my fellow lebanese scorpions fans...I would love to share with you the moments spent at MJ Guitars (the guitar shop of Matthias Jabs in Munich) 2 weeks ago..

it was scheduled that the Scorpions have a show in Munich on October 13 and I had bought my ticket in February (through black market because the tickets were sold out so fast and a long long time ago!!), I planned a vacation to Germany that starts one week before the show in order to catch up with the Oktoberfest.. it was all going fine until I learned one day in August that the show was rescheduled until December 17th because the Olympiahalle in Munich will not be ready for the October show because of delay in constructions after a damage that occurred there..of course it was a big big disappointment for me and for many fans who were travelling from far places just for the show, and who couldn't alter their flight tickets and go there in December..
However, Matthias takes a wonderful initiative and decides to make it up for the fans who couldnt come to show in December, by holding a show in his guitar shop in Munich along with a German Rock band called Lem Motlow, on October 13th...

so the day comes and I am with fans from all around the world who I already know from the Scorpions forum, the show was scheduled at 15:00 but we go there at 11:00 in order to take a look at the shop first, when there is still no crowd...the place is so good, full of wonderful stuff, I will share photos here so that you get the chance to see them, guitarists here will know what I am talking about... then out of a sudden, Matthias shows up one hour before we got there! it was so unexpected, it was still a bit too early for the show and the shop was still with very few people...he comes to salute me and my friends from italy, switzerland and spain...and you should see his face when i told him I am coming from Lebanon, he was like: "from Libanon! you're coming all the way!!" and the he said: "ohhh what an awesome shows we had in Libanon, what an awesome audience, what an atmosphere..we had 3 unforgettable shows!" and here he was telling the others how Lebanon is a place where people always like to party and where they know how to enjoy their time...so here i told him: "so you're coming back? :D"..he laughed and said: "well with us, you never know, we are touring!" so guys, I think we can hope again!!...then I asked him for a photo and he was so kind, giving all the time I need...took me outside as the photo would be dark inside, checking it himself to see if we need to take another one, he was just too friendly, too charming, too nice, in a very happy/good mood..

then we had a small chat and we were talking about their tour, and they said that in 2013 they will come to Asia again, mostly to Japan and such countries they haven't been to for years...then i told him that it was really nice of them to have 3 consecutive shows in lebanon in 2011, he told me that only two were supposed to take place there but they were sold out so quick and they had to add a 3rd show, he was saying this with lot of admiration and happiness...

I gave him the lebanese flag to sign and he did it with pleasure, he wrote SCORPIONS and signed it...then he wrote me an autograph on comeblack cover and we had a good laugh when he knew that my name was Nada (which means "nothing" in spanish)....and I had to explain what it means in arabic...afterwards, many fans were coming to the shop, getting ready for the show, many of them were surprised to know I came from Lebanon for this...

the show starts with Lem Motlow, a very good and talented band, and then Matthias plays 3 Scorpions songs with them: Sting in the Tail, Bad Boys running wild, Arizona.. i will try to share some videos from the songs here too..the show was so good and rocking!
afterwards, we spend some time taking photos, meeting new fans and making a small video for his birthday, where we wish him a happy birthday..some medias were also there and Matthias is happy to tell them that he has people from many nationalities in his shop today, and from far places, such as Lebanon, which he stresses on, and this is why you hear him say Lebanon in the video shared few days ago on this group, called "Impressions MJ Guitars 13.10.2012"

then we came to say goodbye and Matthias apologizes to me because I had to miss the Scorpions show and that I already had a ticket, he looks to me with a sad face, and says: "awww, im really sorry "...I thank him for the initiative that I really appreciated and I told him that he made it up for me by organizing this and giving us this opportunity to spend a whole day with him at MJ Guitars...at the end, I tell him that I will send my greetings to the lebanese fans and tell them what he said about them, he answers: "oh if you can do this, i would be really happy, if you can write it somewhere and let them know how great they were, we were impressed by this passionate audience!"

at the end, he wished me me a safe flight back home, I bought some signed guitar picks, and I left MJ guitars with lot of memories to cherish, unforgettable time, and with a wonderful impression about Matthias and his charming character...in this talented guitarists lies a wonderful person who knows how to respect his fans...

Matthias, for the 100th time, thank you! we hope to see you in Lebanon again, and we promise that, if you do, we will impress you even more, we would "burn the sky" for you

Wonderful review, full of positive emotions, sis! It was a pleasure for me to read it and thanks for sharing your thoughts and experince! I`m glad you met Matthias and the FOS team there, but on the other hand, I`m a bit sad I won`t see you in december. But you know, whatever happens, one day we`ll meet, I`m sure! Cause the BEST IS YET TO COME!
