James monthly income with the Scorpions

Twelve thousand dollars a month? Four hundred dollars a day? For all it takes to be a Scorpion?

I'm probably pretty naive about things like this, but I would have guessed that James made a minimum of $250,000 a year playing with the Scorpions. It's true that most rock musicians would be insanely happy with the money James says he's making, but he is reputed to be one of the best drummers in world and plays for what many consider to be one of the best bands in the world. One hundred and forty-four thousand dollars a year isn't very much money at all when viewed through that lens. And after taxes...less than $100,000 take home. To drum for the Scorpions. Unreal.

That being said, I don't think that disclosing that fact was a good idea for James if he wanted to continue on with the band. I know that, if I was paying his salary, I wouldn't want him telling the public how much he makes.

But I don't know much about stuff like this. I'm just surprised; I can tell you for sure that I wouldn't tour for any $400 a day. My auto mechanic makes that much when he is busy.

IMHO he doesn't make that.....he was just saying that. Nobody believes it tho.

Well if James is making more then 144k a year and he is only reporting that amount to get through the divorce then we won't have to worry about James playing with the Scorpions beyond 2012.

And i have been quiet about this topic for the past month and have read a number of comments about who's fault is it for the divorce. And my answer is who cares we should be more worried about the 3 kids that have to go through this nasty divorce. And like the old saying goes there are 3 sides to each story ( James, Athena and the truth). We will never know and i really don't care who is at fault. My guess is that it takes to two to tango in a marriage and both parties are not innocent.

You're right of course about the 3 sides, but she never cheated on him. HUGE diff, IMHO! And there is nothing that has been said to the contrary. Yes she has her faults, but while she was raising his kids, he was on the road having a good time. Now I know that's part of the lifestyle, but it doesn't make it right. It's morally and ethically wrong to do that to your other half and altho I still have a soft spot in my heart for James, I can't condone what he did to his wife. She isn't innocent, she never said she was to me, but cheating is a huuuumongous no no in a marriage. And while it's none of our business, technically THEY put it out there, it would be incomprehensible to think we, as fans, wouldn't talk about it.
I agree Scott, that the amount he quoted to TMZ, is to keep him from paying more. And I want to add what Athena told me and I believe her; even tho it's coming from a very hurt place in her heart, I still believe her and what SHE believes


I'm just over it & tired of ppl thinking I LOST CUSTODY of my kids. Where they get that from is beyond me??. Our oldest kids are adults & I HAVE CUSTODY of the youngest & the ONLY reason he is at james's house is because I ALLOWED HIM to stay there to remain in his school because I had to move away from there! and the drunk thing...I will make no apology for, after what I found out about what was going on behind my back......

She goes on, but I will not post it.....she had read what Drew posted on here and she was responding to it to me. She reads these hurtful things about her and it tears her heart out. Sorry folks, I am with Athena on this. And again, I know there are 3 sides....but who went to TMZ? hmmmm?

I just hate that I care about two people and they are going thru this. It's hard.

well like i said that is one side of the story...my guess is that James side will be completely different from Athena's..that is why the 3rd side is normally the truth..

well you are hearing this from Athena..unless James confirms this or we have proof from another women coming out to confirm this info. It is her word against James..We all know Athena is no perfect angel..

remember i'm not siding with either one of them..it is their business and it should stay that way..

You both are right, but he has been with someone for quite awhile. Dang, I just hate that he had to go and do that. My Dad left my Mom for her best friend, so you can imagine how I feel when someone I care about has gone off and cheated. ugh...Ok, niuff said. I'm done.

Well that depends on the individual couple choices ..
But ive seen that used in divorce cases ..
And its used both ways .. Him against her and Her against him ..
