US Festival 30th Anniversary in 2013

I guess it should be great to hold the festival next year again,..with the same acts,...
After all when you heard the band talking about their highlights, they always mentioned US Festival

If Eddie Van Halen recovers in time..Van Halen is suppose to perform at next years Super Bowl..

Plus if they did a 30th anniversary of all the bands that performed at the US festival back in 1983 the lineup order would have to change.. if it is by popularity in 2012-2013 in the USA..that means CD sales and Ticket sales..here is the band order:

1983- Van Halen, Scorpions,Triumph,Ozzy Osbourne,Judas Priest,Quiet Riot and Motley Crue

2013- Van Halen,Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest,Scorpions, Triumph and Quiet Riot

I would love to see a US Festival reunion. But that line up wouldn't attract 300,000 people this time around I'm afraid.

Not after this summer of tours anyways.

Triumph isn't together anymore last I heard and well I think Quiet Riot still tours, but with the death of Kevin Dubrow well yeah.

They could do Van Halen, Motley Crue, Ozzy, Scorpions - Judas Priest? I thought there were some issues there. Add Iron Maiden and maybe Kiss? A bunch of groups from the Euro festivals that will be held next year and then watch it become a US Wacken.

I love the idea and I would be crazy enough to go!

Except it's the biggest event in the States and shouldn't be diminished. They owe us actually, but I don't think they see it that way. Other places get more of them, even though they came here knowing it will get them known worldwide....but now that they are known, well....Amend doesn't find us all that interesting, esp since it wasn't HE who brought them here. It was Dieter....

I agree!!! Maybe the Scorps can release it as a bonus dvd like Judas Priest did for the 30th Anniversary Screaming for Vengeance album.
