HOLY ***!! WHAT THE F*** DID I SAY WRONG? I only stated facts....this is a huge undertaking, it's going to be the final show of their tour. Sure they are going to hit a few places next year, but technically this the final tour. End of story.

So this convention was started by Beth and Joanne came in to handle the financial and managing...it has to be somebody Curry, this isn't just a simple gathering, but sheesh if there is going to be problems just cuz I was stating facts, excuse me and ta ta!!

Me too, cuz you have completely misunderstood me and I am tired of folks, even those who I thot understood me the most, NOT understanding me. Course to be honest, I guess you really don't know me, huh? Just from here. Oh well, it is what it is. Shrugging it off!!

No worries Joanne, I'm going to go with what I was going to do and that is stay off this subject. LOL I am just used to being part of projects for 6 years, it's hard to break habits. ha

Okay.
Thus Joanne, Curry, Beth, you will let me know about the final result, and I will decide if I want to join or don't want to, because I really don't see the end of the project at the moment.
I know an only thing: I want to join a meeting friends, spending great times with my Fos-friends, that's all.
I see nothing like a big caos now.

I do the very same type of creation of fliers and posters, if not a little better, if I must say so myself. Ya know Joanne, I started doing this with you all by being the graphic designer, so....I would still like to be that. I mean, Mark's posters are fine to give too, but you can use what I come up with as well. I am good enuf to get paid, just don't have the backing or the kind of job to get my work out there. But I have lots of collages made that I can get printed up in 8X10s, that many fans have gotten from me in the past, and these collages have been very popular. I can even come up with a new one if wanted.

Too bad I don't have enuf MJ guitar picks left over for everyone. But I can come up with postcards......Scorpions on the front and a short bio on the back or even their stats.

Sorry, my dear. Now even I am confused and told "what to do or not". I`ll just stay away from topic, forum and any kind of helping. It`s just my whole enthusiasm was killed brutally...

Don't be so hard on yourself Curry, I'm sure all involved are very happy for you to help. From what I've seen on designs etc you are very creative and I thought the scarves looked great. The problem with "typing" how you feel, it sometimes confuses and doesn't relay correctly what people really want to say, please don't take the comments to heart :)

Yes, but the point is that we`re discussing something with Joanne in advance, much before is posted here. But even if it hadn`t been discussed, everybody is free to give ideas or live with the dream of Munich show. Del, for example, has great ideas too.

I am posting here, only because I want to see if you, people who are going, are supporting the idea or not. I won`t die if you say, let`s do this or let`s leave this aside.

I believe, that the perfect ideas are generated after everybody`s opinion and everybody`s own little advices. I believe too, that we are who are important and I don`t like the authoritarian behaviour: do this/ ask him/ paper bags/ short deadline and so.

How come that nobody, but Cristy, is complaining about Joanne`s deadline, Del`s bags idea or what`s going to be written in the scarves or not (and FOS is not liked, cause it is said FOS is Paula`s idea). So, finally, instead of having fun, as we did in Brussels topic, we`re AGAIN in the middle of some personal conflicts. :?

I love the projects in which in the back are our names + countries. Looking at it after a few years would remind everybody about the people who we met there. PLUS, if we really throw these scarves on stage it'll be a nice accent for the Scorps as well. I thought we could make 5 extra scarves for the band with the name of each member and throw these  It'd mean more costs so I'm not of it's a good idea, but if many people gather and they don't mind maybe it's worth to think about it.

Sorry, but in Poland making such scarves would be more expensive so I can't help with this. I'm coming by bus so I could take them but...well. If it's printed in black-white it would be a bit more expensive than the price Curry gave, but printing in colours would cost a fortune. I remember last year, when Curry made the t-shirts I was really surprised about how cheap they were. At that time I looked for a fabric to make Stirwater t-shirts. There was only easy white logo and still it was pretty expensive

For this moment there are 33 people? I saw Marie joined the group on facebook. She always goes to the shows with a group of French fans, maybe they will also come :>

As I have asked you on skype, please stay, and don't leave your enthausism.
I absolutely love your, Joanne's, and Del's ideas.
I still support the project, and want to be in, and I am, just I don't like any competition, and authorization either.
Let's have funn together Fosers. :D

Holy CARP (Yeah the fish)! The forum didn't e-mail me to say that people have been responding so due to personal reasons I haven't checked this weekend.

So this is what I'm going to do. First thank you to everyone who is helping with this crazy idea (for the record, I am to blame for the crazy idea and I'm going crazy because of it!) This is FOR the FANS and BY the FANS so that means there isn't one person to decide everything. The only time that will happen is when anyone of us has to get out their credit card and actually pay for something in advance.

Now then - the first deadline has been met and I'm going to start an e-mail list today with the people who have said they want to go or maybe can go. If you want to be added, please send me your e-mail address. We will discuss what people WANT to DO and IF they are interested in paying for an event that would include a room to meet and gift bags.

We've got 33 yes and 17 maybes so far plus a few people who do not use Facebook and that doesn't necessarily include boyfriends/girlfriends and children, etc. So I think it's safe to say that we can get 80-100 people by the time December is here.

We need to find a place to meet (for me personally I would like to have our own room anywhere whether in a restaurant/pub or hotel room) that doesn't cost much (or anything), that allows us all to talk and meet. Then we will decide if people are willing to pay to have some personalized FOS meeting items in a gift bag to remember this event. Then we need to decide about the scarves or if anyone wants t-shirts at an extra cost.

Then we order all the stuff, meet in Munich and share many drinks and smiles and I want a hug or two after all of this!

One side note - While we are talking about money and cool items for a gift bag. The most important thing in all of this is meeting each other and enjoying the moments we have. We can meet on a street corner and we might be cold, but that moment might be the most precious of all. What I wanted to do was bring the fans together for a great big party and be able to have gifts for everyone, but until I win the lottery I can't afford this on my own!

Thanks Marta for the ideas, I`ll check if it will cost more.

Thanks, Gabi and Joanne. We`ll further discuss everything via the mail list, so I suppose nobody there will be forced to do anything. Let`s do it how it has to be - democraticly, not authoritarianly

Private place or not, giftbags or not, scarves or not.. this doesn`t matter. We`ll try to make it as colorful as we can, but even if we do not manage to, the most important is the FUN and the meeting.

Joanne said it perfect: for the fans by the fans!

Curry, YOUR enthusiasm was killed? Oh brother how dramatic....you made ME feel so diminished that is why I got mad.

It's hard not to be allowed to be part of this, I have done so much since 2007 and I feel that my ideas are pooed pooed at cuz I am not going to this thing.

And I didn't "complain" about the deadline, I just voiced my concern. sheesh talk about misunderstanding. Damn Curry, you couldn't have made me feel more insignificant.... I have/had ideas that you scorned, I have talent I could offer, but since I am not going to this, I am nobody.

And your "leaving" this topic is only to have everyone say ohh don't go Curry! Well, you don't have to leave. cuz I will. Oh and Paula DID NOT create FOS, Tom *fosdaddy* did and with her steamrolling style, got Tom to give her the run of it. And cuz I voice that I don't like the organization HERE cuz she leaves a bad taste, doesn't mean nobody else can be used and it was just an OPINION!!
Damn this has gotten insane cuz you misunderstand and go flying off without ASKING me what I meant.

I will talk to you later Joanne....but don't worry, even tho I wanted so badly to be part of this even tho I am not going cuz I wanted to offer what little I could be of help with since I had been part of so much in the past, I won't offer anymore, I have been strongly told in certain words that I am not welcome nor are my ideas.

How ironic that I used to be part of so much and now the younguns are telling me I'm not wanted. Screw it!!

And as far as being "in charge" what I meant was that this was started by Beth and Joanne and like I said above, that with the input of other fans of course, SOMEBODY has to take the reins like Joanne did and run the thing. I don't know how things are done in other countries, but if you don't have anyone driving things, then it's total chaos. And that is what Joanne is doing, she has been taking on the majority of the work and she is essentially "running" this, so? That is what is needed in any meeting, any organization, any type of gathering...ask the Greek Fan Club...they have a few who RUN things to make their parties so successful. And? I don't get it, there has to be a HEAD to keep this organized. sheesh Who doesn't agree, lives in la la land.

Cristy, let me just quote myself from yesterday before the whole crap started...

YNWA wrote:Cristy, why are you doing this.. ... keeping separated from the topic. Well, everyone here, who has anything to share, is welcomed.

Then, after I`d said the above one, you started attacking me that I should ask for permission and I`m ruining the name, putting FOS meeting not Fan Convention... Really?

No dramas, please. Yes, my enthusiasm was killed, not because I wanted someone to tell me not to, but becuase I felt so. Cause, you don`t know, but we`ve been discussing every single detail in PM, Facebook and mails - NON STOP, every single day. And everyone, including Joanne, agreed and was Ok. Not to mention that scarves idea was an aswer of her question what should be wear to be noticable as forum members. So, originally, the scarves started from her too. Feel better now! I just suggested I could do them, cause here, in Bulgaria, it`s much more cheaper, but of course, I asked everyone to check if they`ll be able to find even a cheaper option.

So, everybody started searching - Joanne, Del, Marta... What did you do? From the very beggining of the topic you are not giving a single idea, but:

- telling we have to, HAVE TO ask the boys, BOYS, BOYS! Fine, but you didn`t understand the essential and it is: FAN MEETING!

- complaining about deadlines, bags and so, without making even a single effort to find an online source, for example, for Joanne to buy the things on better prices.

That is not working, that is not giving ideas, that is just messing in what have someone found or told or proposed. I am no one to tell who should stay or should go, please.. I was the one (check again above), telling you everyone is welcome to share ideas and you were the one, telling me I should not mess into the.. hm.. budged (how ugly).. :x

Read the post above.. Read the the things you`ve said.. Then read mine, saying: "nothing". So, now.. you`re the victim, really? :?

And, please.. Tell me, QUOTE me where I have "scorned" your ideas? Or where I have said that not being able to come make you no one? SHOW ME! I WANT A QUOTE! :x

Never mind, I have gotten too involved and have bulldogged this thread and I apologize profusely to you Curry and everyone. I got too passionate about this and want it to be the best thing ever!! So with that said, I know I have gone too far with this and I must bow out. It's hard to have been such a huge part and involvement to so many things in these last few years and I must remember that I have to step back and just let things be taken care of by those who are going. And I mean that with all my heart. Much love....

I still want to offer my talent tho with creativity.

I believe that the idea is great, I also believe that if one is not going to the show for sure they should keep the nose out this area. If you can't offer positive ideas then shut your month. I know that the ppl who are trying to get this going will do a good job. I wish you all the best, can't make it the FOS convention.
