Yup Delphine that's exactly what I was thinking when it came to the gift bags, but it all comes down to price. Because I think the gifts inside are more important than the bag itself. :)

??? huh? I was saying that every year we have given SWAG bags, they have always been the gift bags you get at Walmart, the paper ones in different colors, sometimes with their names in glitter on them or whatever. :P

No you said, "Whenever we have given gift bags to the boys.."

I'm just saying these are gift bags for the gathering if we end up doing that. :)

Oh I didn't understand that :P ....but why not give colorful paper gift bags to the fans too and cut down cost on those as well? Put their names on them....when I got my very first gift bag from K.C. and Kathleen, my name was done in glitter and I still have that bag...I put my Scorps treasures in it.

Well that's why I mentioned cost. I have looked into the various bags we can get and it just depends on how many finally sign up for it. :)

That is why I mentioned that everytime there has been SWAG bags here in the States, whether it's fans or the boys, it's always been the simple paper ones you get at the store. Nobody cares that it's in a paper one as long as it's made personal with their name AND the stuff inside, like you said.

Hey now - I didn't make any deals about personalizing each and every bag!

But - I probably will end up doing something similar for the folks that pay in advance IF we end up going ahead with the gift bag thing. :)

 oops sorry 'bout that....hope I didn't cause anyone to think that they will have a personalized bag. haha
I hope this all turns out amazing and that everyone is on board. I am surprised actually that more ppl aren't. But maybe when it gets down to the end of October or even November, maybe you will have more response. I so hope this all turns out to be the best fan gathering of all time!!!

Middle of October should be the deadline because some items need 5 weeks delay to be personnalized in France, I suppose it is quite similar in other countries.
For the scarves, it's very expensive in France.

BTW, we have to think to what we want to write on the items, because it could increase a lot the price.
I thoungh to something very simple :
FOS meeting
München 2012

Of course wrote with Ladystarlight font !! Wrote in white on black items and if the item doesn't exist in black take a white one.

But I'm sure you (Joanne & Curry) have a lot of idea

About the paper bag, I'm against ! I'm not sure people will pay for a simple paper bag and it's too fragile and it will finish to the trash can quickly. People will more interrest by something they could use later, for next show for exemple.

Actually, the paper bags are special gift bags that yes are paper but very thick strong paper. Mine has lasted since 2007 and I have tons of stuff in it. And they are colorful or decorative and CHEAPER than cloth. :P But we used them all the time, esp for the boys cuz they can't carry those bags around, so they put their gifts in their luggage and probably throw the bags away. I mean, they get SWAG and gifts in every city, they can't possibly save all the bags. And already there is over 30 fans that are certain, that is going to be costly as hell. But then that is just MY take on it. I am not even supposed to give anymore opinions but dang it's hard to stay on the sidelines when I used to be so involved in projects before. ha Oh well...

I do love the FOS title tho...OR like Joanne suggested sometime ago. THE FINAL STING FAN CONVENTION....??? Or sthg like that...I forget. ha

Hey Del,

Your idea is almost the same as mine, in the project I`ve made a month (may be) ago. So here they are 2 fronts and 1 back of the scarves. I didn`t want to post them so early, cuz we`re still not sure if we`ll make them, but anyway...:

Image

But the more I`m thinking, the more I am convinced that throwing won`t be the best idea  Of course, there is another idea about the flags  And hey, Beth and Del, thanks for being active and helping with ideas.

Cristy, why are you doing this.. ... keeping separated from the topic. Well, everyone here, who has anything to share, is welcomed. It`s just that sometimes, and you know it too, you do it kind of.. aggresively.

But too much off-topic, I guess, we`re losing the focus: gathering in a place before the pub!

I know Curry, that's the manager in me. :P

As far as FOS Meeting, has that been approved by Beth or Joanne? I thot it was going to be The Final Sting Fan Meeting or sthg like that. Don't forget peeps, who is in charge of this. kay?
Personally I have come to hate the term FOS, cuz the one who runs it here has tainted it. just sayin....
Well whatever is decided, I just hope and pray that it's a huge success and will go down in Scorps history and that ain't no joke!!

Nooooo Currrryyyy come on now...what I mean is that YOU can do whatever you want, but to go and change the name of sthg someone else created is not right. What if someone were to come along and try to change our BGRW? They have no right. I am just saying that if Joanne is in charge of the finances and is asking folks for an amount to create such things for everyone, then it should be hers and Beth's final decision along with input from you and Del and everyone involved of course. YOU can spend your own monies on whatever, but if it's going to be part of the convention's SWAG bags, then be cognitive of the expense AND who has the final sayso.
