Well it WILL happen, somehow. Whether it's complete with gift bags and visits from the rock stars remains to be seen.

But we will all meet somewhere in Munich. :)

Hello everyone, I will join you 100%. I think we should concentrate in one location and not book a convention room and later go to a pub because on the one hand it may be a logistic problem and on the other hand most of the pubs/restaurants in Munich close pretty early on sundays. So what do you think about the Hard Rock Café in the center of Munich, just beside the Hofbraeuhaus? They also serve good local beer there and a bavarian burger.
Well, looking forward to See you,

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually thought about that too. Hard Rock Cafes are always a lot of fun, but they can also be very expensive. I worry about the people who will feel like they can't come because of that.

I will see if I can contact them and if they have any special rates for large parties or maybe a "room" that doesn't cost anything where we can all meet!

It might be possible and we can get them to play music we want to hear. :)

Yeah Joanne, that's what I was wondering too, if there is a place with a separate party room closed off to general public. That would be awesome!! Either HRC or the place next to MJG or whatever. Ask Stefan, he lives in Munich.

The HRC :?
We did a FOS meeting in Berlin at the HRC and it was very noisy !! Quite incorfortable to speak especialy when your english isn't perfect
I was one time at the HRC in Munich, but I don't know if there is several rooms. On the other side of the street there is the HB, the oldest brewery of Munich, I know there is some separate rooms up stair.

Would someone just email Matthias or Stefan to maybe get some idea or hell, even call him, since I am no longer someone they wish to reply to. :? Oh well, it's not like I am going to DIE!! But sheesh, use some other avenues available if possible. Hell, they would be crazy not to party with you all for their last tourdate of the year and of their final big tour. just sayin...*shrugging...*

Okay just to update everyone -

The Facebook group is doing good - we are not getting a bunch of people saying they will go just because they want to go. We are up to 23 yes and 14 maybe. Plus we know that there are others who are not on Facebook and others who will bring their spouses/girlfriends/boyfriends etc. So I think it's safe to say we are up to 40-50 people at this point. I'm still going to give this a few more days to see if we have others who will join.

Plan "A": Find out how late the pub that Ben suggested is open on Sunday night and if they will accept 40-50 people just showing up and all wanting to sit together. Maybe it won't be too loud since it's a Sunday night, but with all of us there I think it will get louder.

Plan "B": If plan "A" falls through, then we find a secondary pub - whether it's the Hard Rock Cafe, MJ's Store (wishful thinking!) or another pub. I like the idea of an "authentic German pub" just because well I'm not from Germany. So that's the tourist in me! (And I do want to try many types of beer too!)

Plan "C": I am still interested in finding a quiet place to meet everyone - a hotel conference room etc. But to rent these will cost money - and then we get back to the whole original idea I had to make gift bags for everyone along with a room to meet up in which will end up costing everyone 10 euros or so each and I've already heard some grumblings about that, so I don't want to push it to people and lose fans who might show up otherwise. Curry had found an inexpensive one nearby to the Plan "A" pub so we still might be able to do that.

So all that said - this party/gathering/get together is ON, we just need to work out the details and get it all settled.

This is so very exciting - the Scorpions, the fans and Germany. WOOHOOO!

Instead of a convention room, have you checked with the pubs such as the HRC if they have private rooms? That way you have the quiet privacy and then you all can move into the pub later. just sayin.... and have you emailed MJ and/or Stefan again?

The forums are disliking me - no "quote" button for me! Grrr...

Anyways! If you plan on going or might be able to go (or know some fans who might be going) please join the Facebook event page - setting a deadline for Sunday September 23rd, that way we can use those numbers as a guide and make some concrete plans.

Looking good to having a great gathering in Munich - that's if all of you show up of course. :)

Joanne, why such a short deadline? I know some who are going to University with studies that aren't on the internet that much cuz of school or work and maybe they haven't seen it yet? And many who just plain don't come on very often at all. I will post the link again and see if you get more....I just think the 23rd is far too soon. IMHO

It's just a deadline so that we can plan things. For someone so quick to tell me to contact all these important people who don't write back - now you're telling me it's too soon? Hahaha

Basically on the 23rd we'll have a number of people that we can estimate will go (add/remove for spouses/boyfriends/girlfriends/friends/no-shows and last minute additions) and then we can find a place to hold this thing and see if those who said they will or might go are interested in the whole "gift bag" thing and making it more official.

This is definitely not too soon, especially if we need to rent a conference room - or heck even have room for us at a restaurant/pub - December 16th is right in the middle of the holiday season, lots of parties and reservations for those things have already been made.

Besides putting a deadline will force people to say "Maybe" even if they aren't sure. :) That helps us with numbers.

haha a deadline is sthg entirely different;..it sounds like a finality. Hun, I am just trying to help....I guess I miss being so proactive and full of ideas and doing so much like I used to, that I can't just shut up sometimes. Anyway, you have a good point, it's holiday then. Well so I posted it again on my FB page. Good luck dearheart. I will try to keep my mouth shut, besides, I think I burned my bridges anyway. :P
