Maybe we can directly go there because there is a hall for special event with a 12m² screen for video. It closed at 1am and we can eat and drink on the same place.

I also emailed Herman to see if he had any ideas of places and to invite him if it happens. I think you all should invite James on his FB page, if it happens. It's never too soon!!

Lets not be too quick in inviting anyone until we have everything settled. One step at a time Cristy - we've got plenty of time to bug folks once we make things official.

I wrote to the pub (merci delphine !) to find out about the prices for rooms or if they have any suggestions. Cost will be the big thing - if the room costs too much then the goodie bags will suffer and I don't want to charge more because then more people will find an excuse not to go! Heh

This is going to ROCK my friends, we must find a way.

True enough - I'm just not a cart before the horse kinda gal. I would love to be able to tell everyone - Meet us here on this date at this time we are in this private room type of thing.

But we do know the date at least. And time well I would say around 19:30 or so until whenever.

To me it's the cart with the horse, cuz one thing goes with the other.....if it were a wedding, how long before do you send out invites? These guys are busy busy busy and for all we know, if we don't let them know the POSSIBILITY of a convention then, enough ahead of time, they may already plan sthg else, just sayin..

i have a bit of a suggestion..why don't one of you or a couple of you rent out a big room suite at the hotel you are staying at and have the get together there...it would be easier and prolly cheaper then renting a room hall or what ever...trust me it honestly sounds a lot easier that way and everyone will be saving money..just an idea..hugs nunny!

It's something that we might have to consider, I actually thought about that. But I would prefer to do it the "real way" if possible.

maybe so maybe so... he seems to be pretty interested in "other" issues as you know. So I can see him being interested in this. Especially if he can sell his book there....just sayin... that would also be the issue with James, he may want his shirts and CDs there to sell. *shrugging*

Cristy - this is what I was afraid of - this isn't about the guys showing up. While yes, if it's possible and they want to say hello - we won't refuse and we will certainly invite them. But please stop focusing on the guys being there for right now, we've got many other plans to figure out first. So lets talk about this when we get other things sorted out. Thanks.

Right now we just need to figure out where and how many people would be interested.

I heard back from the pub, they weren't much help - I mentioned 100 people and they said it would be 3,500 euros to rent a hall/room - OUCH!
