Thanks Gabi, I have had time to sleep and settle down. I don't know really....I mean they became really famous for their songs that Herman wrote or helped write and then when the change of music happened in 1980, MJ was there to give them their signature sound and he fit right into the style and persona and charisma of that time. Who's to know if they would have made it as big or not? I was just spouting off last night. Sorry.

but if they play the new songs since 1996, do you believe that they play in big shows ?? lol
since 1974 till 1991 , they made all in gold , each song or near !!

i think that if herman and francis weren't there since 1978 till 1991, you probably not see scorpions again cause their albums and feeling were perfectttttttttttttttttttttt !

It goes around, again and again... I guess this is not the first time when this topic is discussed.
As for me, I won't argue about this "who is better", but... I simply don't like this manner of talk like "I was EVERYTHING for Scorpions". No one tells he was nothing for them, but he wasn't really everything, and talking after all these years about how he didn't like the music and left because of it (and talking about it again and again) looks like a wish to have some publicity in a very cheap way. I don't want to think so bad about Herman, but sometimes he gives a reason.

For ages it's been said (later supposed to be CONFIRMED on this forum) that Herman has the Tokyo Tapes nights footage. YES, the legendary concerts were filmed

IMHO, that would be the first ever Scorpions DVD archives (or Vault or whatever they might like to call the volumes)
