So damn proud I could cry and yes, altho I am sorta sick of RYLAH at every single show that we watch over and over either in person or on youtube, it's still their most famous song and the crowd did react to it.

Hi Cristy,

don't forget, Wacken is not only Metal and headbanging, it's also nonsense and fun. For example this here is Wacken, too:
Watch on youtube.com

and about Rylah: They have to play it in Wacken. For many of the people there it's the only Scorps song they know and many of them weren't even born when these songs came out.

But what me makes me sick: Even in this castrated 90 minutes setlist there is again 'make it real', 'is there anybody there' and 'loving you sunday morning'. Sorry, when they really think they can play these songs in Wacken (I bet this was their biggest own goal) and keep it in this list I think I won't go to another Scorps show.

yeah, that's what could be better: they have tons of heavy songs perfect for a place like wacken, but I think they don't even want to rehearse anymore, just go with the same old set and dance... He's a woman, she's a man, Hour 1, 321, No Pain No Gain, Blood too hot... those songs would have set wacken on fire!

On the other side: klaus rocked the house!!! has been a long time since I heard such a powerful performance by him!! and the statue-thing was fun

Hey guys! After all I thought it was a nice show, liked the song they played. I think Hurricane is still a great song and the audience seemed to enjoy it!
But: Rudolfs solo during Still loving you -- so not good. He played it wrong I think, it sounded so flat, out of tune! And that after 25 years of playing that song...really? I expected more...
And poor Klaus, he looked so exhausted i think...with all the rain in his face!!!
Who were these half-naked women, dressed like prostitutes?? Their performance was so distasteful and tacky. Who's idea was that?!?!?!?!

Flaming STD indeed! That was so distasteful - a bunch of alien looking women with sparks flying from their crotches just doesn't work. I don't think it ever would work - even in the 70s or 80s!

I felt so bad for the guys having to play in the pouring rain.

It was terrible filming - I was watching Amon Amarth while waiting for the Scorps and wow, such a better quality - the good video people were at the other stage!

I did love the metal sculpture of the pyramid, but there are more than 3 guys in the band. :(

I'm hoping we get to see the full set next week and hopefully I'll get a better impression. :)

I think its because those two are the main vein of the SCORPIONS...Thats why they get more air time.
I realized this a bit more when I did my 20 minute Interview with Klaus and Rudi only in NY..

Thats a promoters move...I dont see Amend doing that..stop blaming him for every "little" thing.
its gettng OLD!

That STD comment was just frikken funny!..bah hahahahaha! FLAME ON!

I already bi***ed to MJ about the Live feed. LOL And that I was yelling at the computer, well the cameraperson, that "hey! there is a lead guitar player in the band too ya know!!" And we barely saw Pawel, except for when he was oogling the girls. LOL

It was disgusting, bunch of bimbos with the metal grinders grinding on stage. ugh.....but MJ's face that I caught in the pictures that I posted is priceless. They seemed to either be enjoying it or laughing cuz it was so stupid!! And why did a Swedish band get more coverage than a German band? That slays me!!!
And Tom, glad to see your jokes again buddy!! :P
Joanne, those guys have played in rain and subzero temps, they are the truest pros ever!!
Hans, oh I know hun that they have to play RYLAH!! And I did enjoy it EXCEPT when they don't give MJ his proper camera time!! Pawel was sorta ignored too. I got some great pix of JK!!
And Amend didn't pimp out the entourage, they crashed the party from Brittany Spears show!! I looove that iron statue tho.
And Matthias was very busy in New York.....just sayin.

The camera cut was the same horrible like in the 2006 official release. It's unbelievable that the crowd were much more in the picture like James and Pawel together!

I'm just happy to see them play anywhere....even if it was via the internet. And the bimbos aren't so bad. I think they're trying to bring back some of that 80's flair...albeit bimbo flair....but very 80's style nonetheless. Anyway, the Scorps can do no wrong! :)

I kinda expected them to bring a special set-list with 70s stuff and bring some guests because its their LAST gig on Wacken, you know? But i got dissapointed again. The stupid video-screens are ruining everything!! Otherwise they would have played a lot of rare songs. Matthias told that also in an interview that their set-list is now depending of the videos they have for the songs!

I remember reading somewhere (must of been an interview) that the band said they wouldn't be doing another Wacken like they did previously - it wasn't going to be any type of reunion show. Wacken was done, they were happy with it, but they weren't going to try to relive it again.

So I wasn't expecting any "old songs" played, of course it's always a nice surprise when they do!

But yeah if those sparkle butt women-like alien things - what the hell?

Okay so I hate to be the bearer of bad news - but at least for some countries it's very possible you won't be able to see the Wacken concert from that link. :( I was just on that site and tried to view past things they've shown and it says they are not available to my country.

Just a warning - it might be the same for others too. I hope it will work for everyone though!
