Hahaha Curry,I so had felt before reading your post that you wouldn't appreciate Nada's promise too much.

Ok Gianluca, I will keep in mind that you sayd about promise-keeping.

Hey friends, if I remember correctly, Tanker is exactly from Canada.
Your name is James, isn't it?

Okay friends, let's hope in the positive solution. :)
Klaus-THE SPECIAL ONE,
Rudolf-THE WISE ONE,
Matthias-THE COOL ONE,
Pawe-THE SIMPLE ONE,
James-THE CRAZY ONE,
The Scorpions are THE NICEST GUYS.

I checked the Nickelback website as they are playing at the end of September and Eventim are still selling tickets for this at the Olympiahalle, with no mention of it being closed for structural work. I'm sure the German work ethic will kick in and this will all be sorted well before the Scorpions play there. I have my very optimistic head on this morning

One thing I would not count on this time are german workers. Living in Berlin and seeing an airport being built for (I think) 12 years and openings scheduled every year and then postponed again gives me creeps . Hopefully, the Bavarian style is better :)

Dear Scorpions, if you only change the venue and keep the date, I will promise to only drink tea in Bavaria!!!

That's a crime ! lol

Cristy I have been to many venues in Europe and they all have a different seating arrangement of some type like less seats in a row or more.

Yes the band should have a drop end date before they have to change date or venue. Who knows what they will find in the when are remodeling the venue, ppl must understand that there is chance that something can go wrong. I prefer to have the show in this venue than some of the other venue in Munich.

Tanker, everyone prefers this venue and October 13th.
But if the venue is not available, there are 3 other options available:
A - another venue + same date
B - same venue + another date
C - another venue + another date

Out of these three, I am sure 99%, myself included, would prefer the same date and do not care about the venue. I only have to drive for 5 hours to München, but when I think that changing the date would mean no FOS meeting, like planned for over a year, than I really don't care about venues anymore. I am sure there are a lot of possibilities.

Vasi, i couldnt have said it better...anyone of us going to Munich can still book to see the Scorpions again, maybe in another country, some other time, but Munich 2012 is much more than a Scorpions show, it is a big FOS gathering that we've been dreaming about for months, it is the spirit of rock in the Bavarian city with bavarian beer...it is different and no alternative can have the same effect and interest for us! (apart from keeping the same date and country of course)

Couldn't of said it better!

Although tanker did bring something up about if they changed the venue that they would have to re-issue tickets and refund the Munich ones because of seating plans. This is unfortunately very true and a huge mess. :(

Unless the workers at the Olympiahalle figure out a way to have the stadium ready in time (Come on 6 days early? They can do it!) it is likely they will have to reschedule it on a different day and my guess would be in December since the Scorps will already be in Germany on the 15th. :(

in fact it seems that an event in June caused damage to the venue, thats how I got the story from that site...but Im still not convinced about all this...from now until October 19th, I have enough time to build a new house, all by myself!

My only concern is for people who have seats. Not the Geneal admission tickets. GA tickets are just that but ppl with seats may not have their seats at all due how the seat number, section, and rows are set up. Seated tickets cause more thous more money for the band

Yeah you are absolutely right.

So here is what I am hoping for:

1) That they manage to find a way to finish the repairs in time for the 13th.

2) Find another venue for the same date - so many people have already arranged their trips/visas, etc to change the date breaks my heart for everyone who did that already.

3) Last resort: Postpone the concert until December near the Oberhausen date. :(

Crossing my fingers for #1!

I have a feeling that Rudolf's recent post about positive energy on Facebook might be about Munich!

Positive energy...positive energy...POSITIVE ENERGY!

I really hope it is not, 'cause my interpretation of this would be he is trying to stay positive, despite a bad situation. But of course, I can be wrong and he is focusing his positive energy towards the best solution possible... a show on Oct 13 in München :)

I thought about it that way at first - "Oh no it's going to be a bad announcement."

But then I thought about Rudolf and I think if it is about Munich he just wants it to work out for everyone.

Those positive thoughts are contagious. :)

Ok, now you infected me too with these positive thoughts. Let's see if we can get this to everyone, including management and people responsible for the venue in München :)

Actually after scrolling through the internet and trying to gather information on the construction (repairs) going on in the Olympiahalle in Munich I have found no announcement of cancelled shows at that venue so I would remain optimistic that they do have a scheduled date to have all these repairs done in time for The Scorpions show. I did find that Nickelback is scheduled to perform there on 9/26/12 and Lionel Richie on 10/26/12 and neither one of these shows have been cancelled here in the States so I would have to assume this construction should be completed prior to Sept 26, 2012. Lets just stay optimistic of this and keep praying I know how all of you Scorps fans, FOSers, BBRW & BGRW and all other Scorpion lovers must feel not knowing and anticipating their performance.
