And I have no idea if I need a visa to go to Turkey or anything, why do I do this to myself? Hahah - I wonder if traveling alone as a girl in Turkey if that's a bad idea or not.
I don't think I can go to the Istanbul one as that's too much time away.
I think I'm crazy for even thinking this.
Scorpions Truck wrote:Turkey is dangerous????? Come on please!!!!!
I tell Ya what is dangerous these days: Allepo in Syria, Damascus Syria as well isn´t a place where I wanna be at present, the Bronx is dangerous, climbing up to a Himalayan mountain is dangerous, crossing an highway as a pedestrian is dangerous, but Turkey????
No way!!!
As Curry said, that´s not the deep dark part of Europe, it´s just magic! And if Ya consider just to see one Turkey show, than doubtless You HAVE to go to Istanbul, the only city worldwide on two continents it is an amazing view sitting in a tea house at the European shore of the Bospourus smokin´a turkish water pipe and looking over to Asia.
Take a walk to the spice bazar, a place I always go when in Istanbul since more than 20 years. Diner around Taksim square; best seafood all over the world. Ever been to Frisco at Fisherman´s Wharf? You´ll forget it after You´ve been at Istanbul Taksim square!
The only negative aspect of Istanbul is the Hotel prices, if Ya wanna have just a proper room calculate at least some 150 US$ a nite; anything below is crap.
Scorplady wrote:The way Ben describes Turkey really makes me want to go. I think I'm more worried about the cultural differences and traveling alone as a female - let alone the language difference!
Sounds amazing though.

It isn`t something regular in our country Cristy. We`re normal, well-educated but poor people and that`s all...
I know you`re worring about our guys, but you don`t have to.
Just take the first flight and come to the Orient.. Seems (Ben and not only) people from West really enjoy it and find it attractive
