Simultanously 2 differ stiles:

1. Portugese sonnets (poems of Elizabeth Barret-Browning.

A collection of Robert Browning's poems, (I so admire him not just for his poetry, but as a wonderful being human).

2. An interesting biography about the very first hungarian femaledoctor, who used to live, and work in the XIX. century.

I read it too :D It has some funny anecdotes.
And the last book I've read is "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy", by John Le Carré. I loved the film and decided to read it.

Three months and nobody has read anything new?

Almost gave up reading "Les Misérables" by Victor Hugo, so now it's "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodgson Burnett :)

lol Phuong.
Thanks for bringing the topic back my friend.
I can't live without reading at all, it's my drug.

Previously I read: The magus of Strovolos.
It was an interesting, and unique stuff for me with my spiritual interest.
I believe in irracional abilities of people, and admire them for using it just for good deals.
Phisical, and spiritual curing, and I like their wisdom, am learning alot from them.
The magus of Strovolos was this kind of person.
An american journalist spent several months with him and students in the 70s, and at the beggining of 80s, he wrote his personal experiences from this time.

Now I changed to a easyer stile:
am reading: Shadows by Karin Alvtegen.
She is a great svedish crymewriter, her crymestories are really unique, and exciting.

I like the story of the Victor Hugo novel, just it is extremely gigant one.
It would be better if you watched a movie-recover of it Phuong.
It has a cartoon variation for kids, it is the brief summary of the story indeed, and it is a cute one.

Hey Secret garden is a beautiful story, too, I liked it.

Back into the reading mode, ladies.

My dad bought me an e-book. So now I don't have to torture my eyes reading off the phone. I've already finished "The Catcher in the Rye" by Salinger. I think this book should be read at school, so that teenagers would learn a bit about themselves. :)
And I have just started "Bleak House" by Dikkens this morning in a bus. :) Oh, these fascinating descriptions!
Even crematoria need international affairs managers..

^ Gabi. Indeed Hugo's book is very complicated and requires a lot of knowledge about history, politics and social norms. I indeed had a hard time trying to understand it thoroughfully, especially the difficult language.
"The Secret Garden" is nice, though, and I've had great joy discovering each page. Now I just reached 2/5 of it after some 2 days of reading :)

^ Galya. I read "The Catcher In The Rye" some months ago and that's a very good one. Of course can't take it literally because it needs to be explored deeply. Great you read that nice piece!
