you might want to see the spelling of Rudolf`s name on his poster. Not being anal but I`m German and we spell Rudolf like this and not Rudolph....................

Being that I used to be in administrative management, I also am anal about spelling of names. As a matter of fact, I asked Barbara Schenker one time what name Rudolf preferred to go by and she said Rudolf, so that is why I cringe when someone calls him Rudy or anything besides Rudolf.

My name is Rudolf, but I go by Rudi...........i is the German way,not y at the end of Rudi, Just saying

Yeah but when his own sister says that he prefers to be called Rudolf and not Rudi, I am the sort of person to go with the proper way of saying the name as staunchly as I am about spelling it.

Beth dearheart, I see where you noticed it was ME who said that. Also, 1. What poster wouldn't be approved by management? That is confusing. 2. Where is the interview of the boys and what publication was it done for? That too is confusing.

1. If you apply logic, Tom has approved the Mark Reiser Posters which were gifts to the Scorpions, Correct?

Rudi and Klaus were busy doing the interview with me, they only saw my ELLEN poster...I didnt see them open thier individual posters, they did that later....
When on the rail,I held up the Tour poster during the show so Rudi can see it, He gave a thumbs up!

I'd rather not go there, in order to respect the Topic as I see it. There are some things that are confusing, and I appreciate those who answer my questions and are confused by those who don't. The Scorpions being happy with their gifts certainly IS good news, my questions are directed at how things work around here, and how one goes about helping the scorpions, that's all.

He's always been the founder, I have NEVER said different..CREDIT GOES TO TOM.

Hey Paula,

Getting your screenname wrong, was a mixup, that's why I've been sticking to Paula. I haven't learned how to copy and paste and include reference to poster etc yet, so thought I remembered your screen name correctly that one time I used it.. I'm a psychotherapist so maybe I have a block against the word "crazy" and substituted "angry" who knows?? It wasn't ill intent that's all... I try not to analyze too much.. Plus was using my iphone, which involves a certain amount of scrolling to get to right page, and was in Philly with a bad wifi, at the time. I'm not offended by any questions, or requests, as long as they're civil, and aimed at a constructive purpose.

Regarding your statement about people being interested even tho they may criticize you, I think from my point of view, people are interested in reviews in general, and especially when you're not familiar with the process of Meet and Greet or traveling to an unfamiliar city. That's why I posted mine as quickly as I could. I can check back more in a more leisurely way now, but the Red Rock interview was all i saw before my trip, and I had one friend that had been to SD, so was looking for info. I've written Wolfgang and Peter Amend before about some technical issues, they seem to get solved, but don't always get a reply I figured they were very busy.

When Angel said Tom was CEO, I was like wow, It just says standard user. I know I've heard his name and several others, figured they were veteran fans. Had never seen a reference to Tom being founder.

And why am I interested? because as I said in the previous post, looking to know how things work, have a few ideas, would like to know how I can help the Scorpions, now that I feel more involved, and have had the experience of meeting other fans in person. That's all.

Just a word of caution. keep what you do PRIVATE until you complete your task at hand,There are folks out there that like to stop others from succeeding if it isnt THEIR IDEA...Thats NEVER stopped me.

Mark and I went back and forth over soo many possibilities...
What was ironic is that the day we finished the FINAL rendering and we completed the poster (the FOS poster)...
well,The CRAZY part is that the very next day was the Eclipse..The poster we had been working on for weeks, showed just that AN ECLIPSE!.....the boys in the center of the eclipse!
.I was like OMG! what a sweet perk! TYJ!

Hey Paula, I can vouch for Beth "No One Like You". Beth and I are very close and I can tell you she does not have a bad bone in her. I'm positive there was no ill intent in the screen name mix up, she mixes up my screen names and even bands names at times. The Posters were cool, hope the guys enjoyed them.

I dug up a close-up photo I had of Rudolf from the 1982 tour and which I had him sign n 1984 for me. He had loved that picture. So right before the NY show I was able to dig it up and make a copy of it for him and gave it to him at the M&G. And as always, the guy does not forget a thing, he remembered the photo and was real happy that I gave him a copy.

I was wondering about the reference you make in your comment that "these posters are APPROVED by Management". Does that mean FOS Management? I looked on the Home Page under Management it says Peter Amend/Ken Martin. Is that to whom you're referring? and Rudi Ray, when you say you were in administrative management, are you referring to the same thing that Paula is?

Mark, any artist is appreciated by a fellow artist and I like your posters. Nothing against you here!! I can't draw like some on here but I sure can kick some ass on Photoshop. See MJ Guitars Update. From artist to artist....rawk on!!

As far as getting approval from management for posters and graphics and such, I have never asked Amend for permission nor have felt I had to get approval. As long as you're not selling them under the Scorps brand. From what I was told by Azoff when they were doing the HH1 management, they didn't need to give us *scorpsnews.com* approval for these things. Thus my confusion. I have done tons of graphics, have had some signed and given many away. Ask lots and lots of fans whom I printed many of these and sent them my art of the boys. The only one I get approval from is MJ about his MJ Guitars adverts and now of course Boris.
So I am going to say this for the other fans who think they have to get permission for their posters, unless you are SELLING sthg with the Scorps brand name, go ahead and make them posters without the worry of management. And this is on topic!

Aw Cristy very nice, thank you! You and Paula both have great love of Scorpions, and so much knowledge..My band had a gig today, and one of my friends came out. Dimebag Daryl was his cousin. He is very knowledgeable about music in general and The Scorpions. He was taking about Hermann Rarebell's youtube of wipeout and how incredible etc etc..I have to look it up now. I don't get to see him that often, I do see Drew pretty frequestly, but other than that, this Forum is a place to find like minded people.

It's unfortunate that not many people know of Scorpions I get that "Oh you're in to hair metal?" question when I bring them up..So however many people- artists, fans there are promoting Scorpions I'm all for it. There is definitely plenty of need for that.

Thank you again Paula and Mark, for getting these posters, so that they know how much they are appreciated.

Mark is not only an artist ,but a professional one at that...
He has done many posters for events THAT HE GETS PAID FOR....
So he is a true professional not doing this as a hobby hoping someone hires him.
He was gracious enough to do this just for the simple fact that he loves the Scorpions.

A true professional will always go through the right channels to get the ok...its just shows class.
Anything else is just a bootleg or a wanna be piece of work that they have thier name on in hopes someone notices them...but hey we all gatta start somewhere right?

You see this way NO ONE can come back and sue for the images or rights..
Its called covering your A$$...Best part is Peter Amend is a lawyer himself, so yeah I got the legalities of this.
