The first thing that I thought when I read Sandviken was... Why the hell they will play in Sandviken??? Stockholm and Copenhagen/ Denmark are much bigger but now I want to go there.

I work on the german ferry which is sailing between Rostock and Trelleborg.
Is there someone who could catch me up in Rostock or Sweden on the way to Sandviken?

I thought the same; Why Sandviken, of all places in Sweden?? Why not Stockholm (which I would prefer since I live quite close) or at least some other big city in Sweden? But according to the website the arena is quite large, it can very well compete with Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm in size, so maybe the choice of arena isn't that bad after all. (And it's probably a bit cheaper to book than the Ericsson Globe...)
Some information about it, from the website (goranssonarena.se):

In May 2009, Göransson Arena  opened, a huge indoor arena with seating for about 10 000 people and an area three times larger than the Ericsson Globe. Göransson Arena on Jernvallen, a legendary sports area in the house and a mecca for sports fans.

Göransson Arena is a so-called multi-purpose arena and is unique of its kind in terms of size, design and access to events and meetings in sport, culture and business. The stadium is used for compounds elite business and will be used for a variety of cultural purposes such as concerts, art exhibitions, fairs, conferences and other events of various associations, companies and organizations.
Göransson Arena is a new landmark for Sandviken - located in the heart of Sweden.

The whole thing is arranged by the Swedish radio station Rockklassiker under the label "Rockklassiker Live 2012" and according to information on their website (rockklassiker.se) there will be 5 bands playing during the evening, a sort of a "mini-festival". The names of the other bands are not made public as yet, but Scorpions will be the headlining act - of course!

I will do everything I can to get a hold of a ticket and whatever it takes I will get there! I don't want to miss this for the world!

Like I wrote before it's the Swedish rock radio station "Rock Classics" that arranges the whole thing. There will be four other bands playing as well, which ones will be announced in the middle of August, according to the web site.

The names of the other bands (or at least some of them?) will be revealed on Monday at Rockklassiker radio. I'll let you know.
They say that more than half of all the tickets are sold already... After less than a week! I bought one right away just to be sure to get one.

I'm interrested by this show, I'found not to expensive flight tickets but how I could reach Sandviken from stocklholm.
I found no train on saturday and rent a car ... in the middle of the winter, I don't know if it's a good idea...

Did someone has an idea or could help me (please)
