George mentioned poor east coast sales so i thought i would add this ..
Where Columbia is in Howard County.
They have a new law now ..
Its illegal to smoke anywhere on private property and Merriweather has instated this on their grounds ... so this law is a turn off to ppl that smoke ..
Im not a smoker but ... ive heard others say they wont attend shows at Merriweather any longer because of this .
They dont even have a smoking area anymore like was there in 2010 .
I kinda predict M3 moving next year to another location

Hey Scott - thanks for those videos!

I probably should of waited until I got some extra sleep before making the review, looking back it does sound a bit negative. I was just pointing things out. For the Kottak Attack, it really was a shortened version of the previous ones I've seen and it just didn't have the momentum I was used to.

As always the Scorps rocked and while it was sad it is impossible to stay sad when the Scorpions are present. I can't wait for another show! :)

And OMG In Trance - I still am in that trance. :)

SCOTTTTT, I AM SO STOKED ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE!! WHAT A SHOW, YEAH? And I am very very glad that you enjoyed yourself and that you thot the boys put on a great concert AND MJ recognized you (which I am not surprised, as he has a brilliant memory!!) and threw you a special pick!! kudos buddy!! Oh and of course the sticks!!!! woohooo

Anyway, it's good to hear that there may be future shows in the U.S., HOWEVER, we all know where those will be, eh? haha Sorry just kidding sorta sarcastically. :P

BUT, I do get sorta melancholy to think of never seeing them again. They have given us so many soundtracks of our lives, whether it's been 30 years for some or just a few for others, or even a few months in some cases...they have left an indelible impression on us all and have given us memories to last us a lifetime. They have given of themselves so far and beyond most rockstars, and even tho their fans can have their fights and differences, these boys have dug deep into our hearts and souls and wrapped us in the moments of a miilion years to make us warm for the rest of our lives reliving everything we each have experienced individually with them, in our own way. I do wish to give my apologies to those who have never seen them, I am not trying to be insensitive. I so hope and pray that they will yet still do sthg for those countries.
Thank you our precious bad boys, we will rawk with you forever cuz your music will never die! And even tho you are at the final crossroads of your career, you have made such an impact on so many musicians who have created their own tribute bands, that your music will live on forever with these bands and of course with the youngsters who grew up with parents that love you and your music and who have been instilled with the true sense for the love of music, but especially YOUR music. Be proud my boys, be very proud of what you have accomplished. And while for whatever reason, other bands are given more recognition and accolades than you are, be assured that your legacy will go down in history and your infamy will create a special place in the world of rock music. Your name, Scorpions, will be one of the few iconic rock bands who deserve to be up there at the top of the industry. And altho, you have been snubbed in some ways and highly underrated and undeserved ignorant lack of respect from some countries AHEM!, you still have so much to be proud of and to hold your heads up high and know that you made a difference in millions of lives.
So, will we see you again? Only time will tell....but in the meantime, in the words of an old song by fellow humanitarian, Bob Hope, "thanks for the memories". And in YOUR words, we will "always love you"!!!

sigh....sorry for the ramblings.... sentiment got to me!! :?

I recieved a short review from Sarah Fleischer . day time dj at 98 rock Baltimore ...
I hung with her and several other djs at the 930 club deck prior to the shows
What an awesome gal she is ..

Hi Tom, The show was wonderful!! It exceeded my expectations. Seamless, high energy, strong vocals, excellent playing & the interaction with the audience second to none made for one extraordinary rock show!. Their “best of “play list was exactly what Scorps fans wanted to hear on their farewell tour.
However that being said I truly question that the Final Sting Tour will really be their last.
The Scorpions have a lot more sting left in their rock and roll souls!

So sad that this station barely plays any Scorps songs and they promote a concert ..
And its the ppl in higher positions that have that control :x

Hahaha well it couldn't have been that bad. You didn't spend your whole time during the concert sitting on the toilet. BTW, I couldn't reply to your PM. There was no reply button. So yes I think I mentioned something of that nature to Joanne about you.

Gosh all this talk of food and all I didn't eat anything the day of the concert except for these funky chicken burritos they were handing out before we got inside. One or two bites and that was all I needed to taste - happier being hungry! Thankfully Lisa and her son were just as hungry so we ended up at a Korean BBQ place after the show, I would definitely go back.

Mall food usually isn't good.

I don't think I have ever had "real southern cooking" just the fake stuff, deep fried and pretends to be southern. :)
