Add Motley Crue to the list. I know that will offend many people, but lets face it, Motley Crue did not get famous for their music skills but rather the non-music related stuff and Nikki Sixx drug overdoses, Tommy's escapades, Vince's troubles. A band with 1/10th the talent of the Scorpions yet women are wild about them because of their look and reputation.

they are not even together anymore and they get recognition for 50 years? I mean really? How do you get accolades of 50 years when the band isn't even together?

What do you mean? As far as i know they are still very much together....just new pic on their facebook. I think they definetly deserves all the respect, great music.

I can not be the only person to look this up as I knew I had heard a tour since 2005.....and what did I find....

The Bigger Bang tour.....August 2005 - August 2007

They also played at the half-time show of Super Bowl XL.....which was in 2006......

They have re-issued some of their albums and have released films/DVDs during 2005 through 2010.....so they have not broken up....retired....or stopped "being a band".....

If you don't like the Rolling Stones.....that is fine but at least get your facts correct before you have them dead and buried......and magically brought back to life for their 50 anniversity.....
