i just watched this show omg klaus was cooking way to go Klaus...i knew you could cook...how ya doing with that asian cook book i gave ya in 2010 are those dishes all of you cooked out of that cookbook i gave ya...if so i hope you are enjoying all of them if its ok i'm gonna copy and paste this video on facebook so everyone there can see it i hope you don't mind...i don't speak fluent german but i watched the show anyways and used my imagination on what that guy with the big mustache was saying...he is hilarious hahaha..the dishes including the deserts look delicious...what was that creamy thing with the eggs you made called that ened up looking like creamy chocolate?..that blonde lady should have taken a bite..i would have hahaha...well anyways it looked like you had a blast and good luck with you learn more how to cook ok?...by the way klaus..when ya cook time and patience remember that...stay calm if anything happens call matthias he'll help you...hahahaah!..love ya klaus hugs nunny!

Indeed , Klaus is the sweetest one I just enjoyed watching him cooking - he did everything with such an accuracy And, though I didn't understand a word ( gosh...once again I wish I chose German as a second language at the University...), still I had much fun - esp I liked the moment where Klaus treats the guests with dried scorpions haha, and the moment when with this scorpion occasionally they put on a plate a package with silicagel and the cook reads the sign " do not eat" hahaha that was funny

@ Curry - as far as I understood the woman is Tina Ruland - German actress ( though I never heard of her...), and, haha, though I understand your feelings - I didn't feel any negative thing about her, except maybe the fact that her hair wasn't tucked during cooking - that really irritated me...And, why didn't the cooks give them aprons, though were wearing them themselves , besides, you know, our Klaus is never greedy for hugs and kisses, he has too much love to life and ppl, so he just expresses it this way

@Gabi - once again, i'm total zero in German, but just basing on what I saw - Klaus cooked kinda chocolate biscuits with jam and ice-cream (it seems ) - anyway they look yummy
But maybe someone german-speaking will tell us in common what was happening there, please (the principle moments at least..)

OMG... He couldn't leave his ROCK-looks even when cooking? I mean, at least an apron would have been appropriate And ... he really is at his best behind a mike. Well, he couldn't even break the eggs or separate the yolk from the eggwhite without letting a drop of it inside the bowl But, I suppose that's the whole meaning of TV- shows like this : bring celebrities and put them outside of their comfort zone.

well, Len - Rock star should be Rock star everywhere, even at the kitchen - and it's his scenic image - though, yep, i'd like to see him in more, causal, maybe kinda "homely" look - would be interesting . And, btw, though, yes, it's obvious that he did everything likely for the 1st time there( hehe, even I have some experiense in separating yolks - still I i can say I do it worse than Klaus did, really ) - still he sincerely tried to do it in the best way - like a child trying to do smth for the 1st time - so to me it looked very nice

Hey, Gabi.. Sorry dear! I promise I`ll describe u everything in details as soon as I`ll have more time!

KID, Isn`t it obvious that we`re joking and just having fun..

Gabi, so.. the show is some cooking live show with audience. The place: huge, very fancy kitchen and two cooks - one of the guys - with the funniest and absolutely awesome moustaches So, as I`ve understood, just looking but not getting a single word in German, is that there are like 2 teams: one of the cook (the moustaches one) and this acctress and Klaus + the other cook. There are also 4 ppl, I don`t know if they are chosen from the audience, who are in front of the other ppl/audience, sitting on a table with glasses of water and wine.. something as jury, may be..

The whole show is how the celebrities - Klaus and the woman are cooking, helping their cook mentors So, as Len said, Klaus looks like a child, who do something for a first time and really made an effort to do everything perfect as separating the eggs` yolk from the eggwhite, using the mixer, spreading some.. muffins, I think, with chocolate and so on.

How Klaus did everything.. Well, it was soo cute, cause he didn`t pretend to be a top cook, it seemed that he doesn`t do that every day, but he really enjoyed everything, cause he was constantly smiling, but on the other hand, he was very eager to do everything right and was sometimes quite concentrated.. Absolute sweet picture!!!

Of course, as a rockstar and a true showman, he tried to make more fun and went to this acctress, giving her to try the mixture he had done.. Hm.. She made some weird face she said something (I don`t know, may be some joke) and didn`t try it. He huged her and give her a kiss on the cheek, then went back to his place to continue cooking

Meanwhile, when some meal went ready, they`ve serve it to the .. jury.., so that they could try it. Klaus served some of the meals himself I can`t imagine what is the feeling to eat something Klaus cooked himself, served by him.

During the whole cooking proccess, he gave something as a present to the both cooks. It was some packets with real scorpions inside.. Everybody was shocked. They`ve serve it too to the guests, they were shocked as well.. Smiles and laugh followed...

Finally, when all the meals were ready, the cooks opened a bottle of champaign, served everything on a table and sat down as if they`ll start to eat! Just great!

But, the most important is.. that Klaus was non-stop smiling, he really seemed to have an awesome time! I love that they accept taking part in different kind of shows, not just interviews, concerning their music carreer. I think you have to have a lot of courage to take part in such a show, having in mind you`re deffinitely not a proffecional in that area, but I think that`s why it was soo interesting!

Glad you guys were able to see this!! I shared the link and thought it was only to be seen live...and I thought I hope I'm not too late....if you only know how I watched this show, because I couldnt watch it online, I had a slow connection....I opened video chat on skype with my friend in Germany, and he oriented the webcam towards the TV and kept the volume high, I was simply watching the whole show through his TV

oh man how I love him! it was cool when he did the WOC whistle...
oh and it was funny when the lady poured oil instead of wine well who wouldn't lose his mind when Klaus is THIS close !!!!

so i had read that some of you ladies wanted the receipes on how to cook the desert that klaus had made on this german cooking show..so i went out of my way and asked a friend of mine to translate it from german to english and to let you that was a veal filet on the white asparagus ok?

Here we go:
Little Sacher Tart
with Cassis-Buttermilk-Sorbet

Ingredients for four people

For the tart (12 pieces)

100 g bittersweet couverture (70 %)
100 g butter, room temperature
40 g powdered sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
4 Eggs
130 g sugar
100 g flour
2 cl rum
150 g apricot jam
salt
butter for the baking dish
sugar for the baking dish
mint for garnish

for the glaze:
50 g sugar
20 g butter
150 g bittersweet couverture
50 ml cream

for the sorbet:
2 leaves gelatine, white
250 ml cassis juice (alternative currant - or dark elder juice)
250 g sugar
1 lemon, untreated
250 ml butter milk

Preparation
Preheat the oven at 180 degrees top/under heat.
For the sorbet soak the gelatine ten minutes in cold water. Boil up the cassis juice with the sugar and let it simmer until the sugar got loosen. Then press out the gelatine, melt it in the cassis juice and let it all cool down. Squeeze the lemon. Give the lemon juice and the butter milk to it and mix it all in well. Freeze the mass in the ice cream machine creamy.
Chop 100 gramm couverture for the sacher tart, give it into a bowl and slowly melt it over a lukewarm water bath by occasionally stiring. Beat the butter with 30 gramm powdered sugar, the vanilla sugar and a pinch salt foamy. Separate the eggs, give the yolk to it gradually and mix it under. Now let the lukewarm couverture rin into it slowly and mix it in.
Sift the flour. Beat the egg white stiff with a pinch of salt. Let the sugar trickle in gradually. Put the ice snow and the flour under the butter chocolate mass alternately. Grease a muffin baking tray thin and evenly with some room temperatured butter, spread it with sugar and fill in the mass. Bake the tarts in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, then let it cool down in the baking dish.
Plunge the cooled tarts and cut them in two halfs one time horizontal. Heat the rum with a tablespoon wasser and the rest of the powdered sugar in a pot. Boil up the apricot jam in another pot and let it simmer for 2 or 3 minutes. Now soak the cake halfs with the rum-sugar-mix. Butter the lower bottoms with the apricot jam. Put the upper bottoms on it again, spread it all around with the jam thinly and put it cool.
For the glaze boil up 50 gramm sugar with 50 Millilitre water until the sugar got loosen. Boil it for 2 more minutes, then let it cool down for 5 minutes. Chop the couverture and stir it together with the butter and the cream under the slightly cooled down sugar syrup. Then pour the chocolate coating over the tarts and cover them with a pallet evenly.
Serve the sacher tarts on tables with a ball of sorbet. Garnish with fresh mint like you please

oh you all are so welcome..ya know in 2010 when i went o see scorpions in Sacramento i had given Klaus my Asian cookbook and challenged him to learn to cook after him adn the guys were done touring..and we all know Klaus loves all new challenges...and i'm not just assuming anymore i know those reciepes are out of that cookbook..but if i'm wrong i apologize in advance..but i am gonna go look for that cookbook somewhere online and give out the link for it just in general coz it is an awesome cookbook...more power to Klaus and his wife at cooking out of it i hope they have an awesome time!..love ya Klaus hugs nunny!

i have a better idea nadine..how about you, me, and chef klaus meine get together in the same kitchen and he can teach us how to cook the desert that he had made on the german cooking show...now that would be a blast!
