I had no idea you could get reserved seats with only buying general admission to Summerfest. When I called the day after the ticket guy told me they sold out in 10 minutes!!! I think I may still go even though it's a bit far. Anyone else going???

Its a new stage its like a mini ampitheater holds 10-12,000 people The 1st 2500 seats are all reserved, they were free but you got to grab them up fast I went down and waited in line for about 90 minutes and got some ok seats. Glad I did too because tickemaster was messing up that day and a lot of people that tried online didnt get tickets.

One thing that sucked about it is that the entire center section wasnt even available those were held for the sponsor mbo harris bank. It is what it is, However I would have preferred for it all to be 1st come 1st served like it has been for years for every side stage. I had planned to get there aroudn 2pm and get a great seat, so much for that idea but hey we get to see the scorpions for next to nothing. Just Summerfest admission $15.00 or less and we are in.

The first place I did try was ticketmaster when I found out about the seats. I tried for maybe an hour before I gave up and called Summerfest directly. The lady that answered transferred me to their own box office. It was the guy there that told me the seats were all "sold". I went on ebay and other ticket places and no 2 set of tickets is below $75 so I will take my chance and see what I get. As long as I'm there it'll be fun :)

Yeah it will be fun for sure. Luckily for me I was following the tickets sales for the shows for that stage through the facebook page for summerfest. I had bought Steve Miller Tickets online and got ok seats. It was a few more days after that before Scorpions went on sale and I was seeing people were having better luck lining up at the box office. So I decided Scorpions was that important to me. I took a few hours off from work and went down to the box office. So glad I did with tickemaster screwing up.

Sucks that the bank takes all the good center seats and the real fans don't have a chance at them. But its cheap so what the heck.

Where are all the MIlwaukee Fans? The show is tomorrow night! If you are going did you get reserved seats, if so what did you get?. Did you see the Scorpions at Summerfest 2 years ago? Are you pumped for the show? This will probably be the last time they every play here again.

Great show last night! First time hearing Is There Anybody There? live. I've now heard the whole Lovedrive album live. Also liked hearing Rhythm of Love live again.

I just got back home after a 7 hour drive to see them! I'm exhausted but it was well worth it!!! It was an incredible show. From where I was you could barely hear Klause during Rock You Like a Hurricane because the crowd was singing along :D . I heard so many people in the crowd comment on how great they were and they should keep touring. It was a great show, like they all are.

Looks like they changed the setlist a little from the Chicago date(for the better). I might of went if I had known but
didn't want to take the chance. It sounds like the band is listening a bit about set list changes. I don't expect major changes from show to show, but 2 or 3 songs is pretty cool.

My Milwaukee review.......

I actually hadn’t even considered going to the Milwaukee show for various reasons, but a week before the show I changed my mind. My friend Carrie and I decided to go, and we brought along her son, age 14, and my son, age 11. My son is a HUGE Scorpions fan, and he was SO excited that he was going to the show. I never would have brought along kids if they had been playing at one of the general admission stages like last time, but since there were some reserved seats at this show, it opened up the possibility to go. I was able to get tickets on Stub Hub way over on Matthias’ side, about 15 rows back. Not the best seats in the house, but good to have seats (any seats!) and close enough for my son to be able to see the facial expressions of the band.

It was a good show, but it had some technical difficulties, including Klaus’ mike going out at one point. For my son, it was a great show, and it was great to see him singing along to every song, and seeing the excitement on his face each time he’d recognize the next song they started to play. For me, it’s just not the same being farther back, and also being surrounded by a festival crowd instead of people that are there because they are big Scorpions fans. However, when Klaus would speak, the crowd reaction was really LOUD. I didn’t see the same fan reaction in the people around me that I’m used to seeing as each song was played. (A lot of the people around us seemed to be more interested in how many beers they could drink). All in all, I’d say that the crowd really liked them – I just wasn’t sitting in the best section.

They didn’t play The Best Is Yet To Come or Send Me An Angel, which they played the night before, and they also cut out Matthias’ solo – he just played for a few seconds, and then went right into Big City Nights. However, they played The Rhythm of Love and Still Loving You, so I was happy to get to hear those songs one more time. I have to say, that when they played Still Loving You, it was the first time that I truly felt sad about it being the last tour. It just hit me then that it might be the last time I would hear that song live, and I almost started tearing up. I really didn’t expect that! It made me yearn to go to another show, but it’s impossible this year.

When the concert was over, my son gave me a huge hug, thanked me for taking him to the concert, and told me that I’m the best mom ever and that it was one of the best days of his life. THAT made the ride up there and back and getting home at 3 am completely worth it! It was a completely different concert experience for me going with him, but it was also special that I got to experience possibly my last Scorpions concert with him. Hopefully not the last, though……

Oops Mary, just have checked this topic, and noticed your great review.
I am so glad for you, and can imagine your son's excitement, and enthausism, allthough can't imagine my self being a huge Scorpsfan as 11 years old.
Klaus-THE SPECIAL ONE,
Rudolf-THE WISE ONE,
Matthias-THE COOL ONE,
Pawe-THE SIMPLE ONE,
James-THE CRAZY ONE,
The Scorpions are THE NICEST GUYS.

Thanks, Rudi, Tom and Gabi - I'm glad you liked my reviews! For some reason I found them hard to write this time. :?:

As for my 11 year old being a huge Scorps fan, he's been listening to them his whole life - although my 15 year old has too, and he's not a big fan. I remember when my kids were little, I would play Scorpions in the car on the 1/2 hour ride home from my parent's house when we would go visit, and they would fall asleep to them. And then when my son was 4 he had a dream that he was at a Scorpions concert and was on stage with them singing "Big City Nights". So part of his dream came true!
