SCORPS ROCK SD SoCal 6/20/12!!!

I'm sitting here at work (listening to the Scorps - hehe ) and wishing I was somewhere else listening to my ALL TIME FAV BAND - THE SCORPS!!! Getting ready to go see them and rock hard tonite (6/20/12) in San Diego, CA!!!!! I have been to a Scorps concert every time they step foot in the USA since 1980 - all in Cali! I have got to be one of their top #1 FANS! Anyone that knows me, knows the Scorps are my #1 Band since 1974...I had the greatest honor of meeting them 6/26/96 when they played with Alice Cooper at the SDSU Open Air Theatre. That has to be the greatest night of my life (next to giving birth to my children)! We got to hang out and talk about everything under the sun, look at memorabilia, take photos together, they all did autographs on posters and my CD's that I brought, and best of all...get loving, warm hugs (and kiss) with Matthias - super hugs with Klause & James - I actually hung out with James' then girlfriend at the SDSU Pub before the concert. Herr Schenker was in the back behind some curtain doin' who knows what... he IS the crazy man ! And Ralph Rieckermann played with them that night - it was so good to see him. (I did get to meet Herman at the 1994 Face the Heat tour in SD, CA - he autographed my ticket)! I am so thrilled to be seeing them again! As long as they keep coming to the USA, I will keep going to their concerts! ROCK STEADY SCORPS!!! You know I'm ALWAYS there with one of my kids!!! I love you all and God Bless - stay healthy & happy! (I want to go see Matthias' guitar store - hear it is the best) Till tonite my friends...

Thanks for the SetList - every one of the songs were so awesome last nite! Seeing them again was... well, I am good to go for awhile - I'm sure I will be "floating" for the next few months! It's so wonderful and fulfilling to "see" their faces in the flesh, hear their music, feel them close. I sure hope and pray that is not the last time I get to see them. We are all aging and I know some day there will be no more SCORPS tour, but I can't phathom that right now. I just want them to keep coming to play in USA as long as they are healthy and can do so! I love the SCORPS very much and they have been huge in my life! ROCK ON FOREVER SCORPS! Until we meet again...

They may, or they may change it up. Never know with them - they do what "feels" good at the time. But guaranteed...what ever they play, by list or not, it will most definately be amazing! After last nite sitting right in front of the towers and Matthias, I can't hear today and it's making work very difficult. But I don't care...my ears are now filled with their wonderful music, my memories are updated and my head will be replaying last nite, over and over and over and over! I've been going to their concerts since 1980! I can't even count how many - every time they came to the USA, I went to see them (did alot of driving - all worth every mile). But going to them all, is what has contributed to me being who I am today - #1 SCORPS FAN!!! Totally enjoy the concert tomorrow nite, and be thankful they are still loving us and can come and play and entertain us!!! I don't know what I will do if the day comes that they no longer tour... don't want to even think about that right now... Have fun!!!

I was at the SD show and I couldn't agree more with your review. I went there from South Carolina for the express purpose of seeing Scorpions! I was in town a total of 16 hours, but worth every dollar spend and every minute cooped up in airplanes.

Did the "Meet & Greet," which was great, but the guys arrived late so it was more rushed than I think it usually is but I got three things autographed, including a poster of my Meet & Greet photo from 2010 and then got a new photo with the band.

They were so far behind that Tesla was already playing when I went to the arena floor for my fourth-row seat on Rudolf and Pawel's side of the stage. What I heard of Tesla was good.

Of course, Scorpions were fantastic and the sound mix was spot on. Klaus' voice was strong and clear and the show was energetic and fun. With a seat as good as mine I would often be behind them when they went out onto the stage extension, so my photos when they did that aren't so good, but that's minor.

I also hope it's not the last time I get to see my favorite band live, but if it turns out that way, it was a great show and experience.

Hi I just wanted to say a few things.. I am 47 and was really not too sure about reconnecting to the Scorpions.. my last metal show was 1981 Ozzy with Randy Rhodes and it was so violent I stopped going to harder bands concerts. So when I heard this might be the final sting (and I am now reading it is not and that is a good thing) I impulsively bought a ticket in the front.. I was regreting it, I even tried to sell the ticket below face... luckily that did not happen. I was BLOWN away !!! the show was FAN-tastic and I felt like a kid again, rockin out in a way that heals the pain of the decades... I was raised on Rock, indeed and it sure did feel like it last night in LA.. Wow, how inspiring to see the band healthy and strong, I am so impressed !!! Sure I wish there had been more older songs like in trance and speedy's coming, we'll burn the sky, pictured life.. etc.. but no complaints here.. come-on boys, lets keep rocking till we die, OK? I will if you will... No need to do a major tour, just do some when and where you can.. Even if its just a few shows here and there.. Why close shop when you don't have to? We f--kin need you !!!

They didn't play "Send Me an Angel" in San Diego. When they came out with the acoustic guitars I thought they would, but all they did acoustically was "Holiday."
