Scorpions Fan since January 2012...I'm New!

Hello I will introduce myself although I am not a stranger to The ScorpionsI heard of them as a group in 1974 while my now ex husband was on tour with a branch of the U.S. military. I lived in the small village of Butzbach in Hessen, I do recall all the talk by military servicemen that they would be performing in town and at that time I was not interested since I had a very small child and recall a few of my husbands friends and their wives attending this gig as they called it. I returned to the States later that year. In 1983 I remember they had a concert in San Bernardino Ca which was 20 miles from my home and there they exploded as Rocks newest #1 group and I do remember seeing their pictures and videos all over television and yet I still didnt really pay much attention to them although every time I would turn on the radio I would hear all their songs and of course they remained in my memory. Well to make a long story short many years have gone by and most of the music I have been listening to has been alternative rock and/or dance music until 2010 I met a man much younger than I who dedicated a song to me titled "No One Like You" by The Scorpions in which I told him I had never heard it and his reaction was like he was shocked "You've never heard of The Scorpions"? was his reply! So I came home and directly got on my internet and went to You Tube and immediatly recognized the song as one of the songs I had heard on the radio in the 80's and now that I have fallen in love with this group I have come to recognize so many of their songs as being many of my favorites but not knowing it was Scorps all the time. I have my boyfriend to thank for officially introducing me to The Scorpions and look forward to seeing them for the first time (and hopefully it will not be the last) in Los Angeles on June 22, 2012. I am signed in here as Scorpia but my name is Val. I do not have a ticket as of yet and am working on getting one from another Scorp fan but I have not received a confirmation as of yet and we have one week before showtime! I am hoping all works out for the best! I am very grateful that this one Scorps fan is willing to help make my dream come true I will know for sure hopefully by tomorrow Sat June 16.......Nice introducing myself to you all, lets keep in contact .".I am a soldout Rock fan of The Scorpions! "The Greatest Rock Band In All Of America and Germany" I hope to get my portion of my "STING IN THE TAIL"

yes to me to they are the greatest , not only in America and Germany , all around the world
and I fell in love with them in 1977 and never left them ,
I saw them live fot the first in 1976 (yes before I begin to now them)they were opening for Kiss and then more concerts

Thank You kavr (Phillip) Yes They are the greatest in the whole World I agree! and the good news is I GOT A TICKET.....I am going to see Scorps in L.A. for my very first time and I am glad I am part of the family of spiders only thing is I wished I would have attended the gig in Germany I know I would have fallen in love with them then but its ok I love them now and will never leave them. hi Val, i haven't introduced myself yet either, i guess i can do it now. what a small world. i too have been a Scorps fan since '74, i'm German and i grew up in Holzheim in Hessen, which is about 7km from Butzbach. i know that town very well. my name is Connie, real name is Cornelia and i'll be at the Staples Center on friday with Hubby. we're going to the Yard House for dinner before the show. this will be my 15th Scorpions Concert. our seats are in sec 119 row 7. this will be my 1st time at the Staples Center. maybe there will be time to say hello

Hello everyone sorry I had not been in this thread of the forum for a while and now that you have all introduced yourselves to me I want tho thank you all for being so supportive of me and my love for The Scorpions! WoW! Cornelia..(Connie) what a small world I wish I could have met you in L.A., did you travel to this venue especially to see Scorps here or were you here visiting friends or family? I had made arrangements to meet fans & FOSers at the Yard House but was unable to get there on time but I did make it to the Staples Center 15 minutes prior to the Scorpions taking the stage and yes it was the most exhilirating time of my life! I can say the Scorpions really know how to get my andrenaline going, no group, no band, has ever made me feel the sensations I felt that night it definatly was a night to remember and when Klaus threw me a kiss it was "A Moment In A Million Years" in which I will never forget. Lets all keep in touch and Connie I will someday go back to visit Butzbach and would like to meet you personally so keep in touch and PM when you read this I am serious about going back to Germany.
