I started reading the topic, waiting to see when Lenita would join. Sorry for speaking in your place, but you cannot miss from such a thread.

I have to say I don't have much experience in drinking (I haven't been to so many wild parties like some of you, yet ), but I do like ethanol Especially sweeter drinks with a lot of aroma. Mmmm. Red wine, cognac, brandies, sangria, .. once at some jazz bar I had some spiritual that I don't remember the name of..could it have been Jägermeister? I don't know, but I really liked it. And I love being tipsy. It usually has ghm ghm other effects than giggling or falling asleep
Do you guys like the taste of ouzo/ and all those similar drinks? I love it but it's strong (a bit too strong to enjoy the taste to the full, for me).. so what we do now is follow Lenita's husband's recipe to make it a "long drink" : some ouzo, many ice cubes and "7 up" to fill the holes..
About beers, I have tried many in Belgium (someone is doing his best to educate me), and my favourite is Westmalle, I find it even better than Leffe.

Secret: I also like to drink from the bottle

We have such in Bulgaria... Men`s love is going through his stomach. I can cook, but I don`t have time to.. And I have to be in a specific mood to do it, as well when I paint.. Seldom, but it has to be special. So I usually add some new idea or spice in the original meal...

Oooh, tell me about time. I have huge problems with it. Not that I don't have enough, but I'm the "postponing things" type; I don't think that there has been a single time where Hans came from work and the food was completely ready. It usually is still in the pan or in the oven, and once it has been busy burning too
Btw we also have that saying in Greece.

Thank you for your Bday wish, and no worries, it is exactly as you sayd, you aren't late at all, cause the wish was from your heart, and just it counts.

Uhhh, uhhh, I don't like ouzo at all.
Once a very good friend of mine got a bottle of ouzo from Greece, and invited me, and his girlfriend/for today his wife/ to share his "treasure" with us.
He was totally excited to open it, and was so waiting for our reactions, but unfortunately we both caused a huge disappointment to him.
I just slirped abit, and sorry, but I really worried about "throwing the slirp back" from my stomach.
It was really a shocking experience for me.
Then my buddy suggested us to try it with water, hmmm if it is possible, it was more horrible, so the other girl, and me gave up.
We didn't want more of the unique ouzo.

And how do you like metaxa?
It is a big fav drink as an apperitif in my family, but I can't stand the taste.

I loveee martini, evenif it is sweet, or dry, I am simply a martini fan.
