Leurs adieux vont durer encore cinq ans, et ils vont continuer de jouer les mêmes morceaux ! Je suis très embarrassé pour les fans que le groupe leur propose le même concert, encore et encore.

Tout cela est très puéril, ça me dépasse. J'espère que Michael, Francis et moi-même aurons l'occasion de revenir en France pour une prochaine tournée, avec un show différent et encore meilleure que ceux du mois de mai !

basically, Herman said that Rudy, Klaus and Matthias didn't want to play with Michael and Herman because they had Francis with them in their last tour, so Michael didn't come and Herman came to Nancy only because he promised to Joelle Killhofer to play something with Uli (Sails of Charon).

He said also that the band will probably pull this "final tour" for another 5 years, with the same setlist, and he feels sorry for the fan for this.

He said this is a childish behaviour and hopes to have the possibility to play in France with Francis and Michael during another tour, with a better show than the one they played in May.

This 3rd grade crap reminds me of Axle Rose ... He now will not allow ppl to attend his shows if they are wearing a Slash T-shirt ... They cant even enter the arena or venue.
For a band that has lyrics about love and peace and a book about being positive its really hypocritical
of them to put their feelings ahead of the fans ..
People need to put the past behind them and move on to better things

have no words for James......i have lots of respect for the Scorpions......but i never saw James to play in that way.........he seems to be there.....and just play without the same energy he always had........his 3 famous words "you kick ass" were without....."feeling" if you let me write this word......
just check some video on youtube and you will understand what i mean

Thanks for the information Adrian... I am sorry for all of you who spent that money and had a big illusion and expectation for the show, but well at least the fos meeting should have been great and also the uli's show for what I read.

Just to clarify things (before someone starts a flame against me ): I only made a raw translation of those words I found on the net, that "at least they say" was referred to the people who claimed that this "interview" was officially taken by the leader of the French Fan Club on a phone call with Herman, so at the moment nothing is officially confirmed neither by the band nor by Herman.

Nancy Did Not Rock!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Im sorry to pile on yet more misery and negative comments but im afraid i feel i need to post up my disgust at the Nancy Concert.

After travelling 2800km via the antwerp gig from Scotland and spending best part of 1500 euros travelling for this you can imagine i am also very angry, sad, upset dissapointed and disgusted at what i witnessed.

I count myself as a dedicated hardened and passionate scorpions fan and will usually defend them at every opportunity. This concert however has left me feeling cheated ripped off and frustrated and i also are starting to lose much respect for this farewell tour.

Klaus mentioned that they will always remember where they started out with their small equipment in front of a couple of hundered fans during the set in Nancy. They seriously need to wake up and actually realise that they really do not remember and that they need to start re paying these fans who spend all of their spare money and time following them all over the world. The tickets prices are starting to rise and Rise and they are holding off coming to certain countries until money is higher again and all they seem to be driven by is the smell of yet more money money money.

I do not know if this is the band or the management but whoever is making the decisions is now going to kill off the real fans who come to see the scorpions through love for the band and for their amazing music. As it stands we are all being exploited and used to squeeze us dry for every penny of our money and we cannot even get a change of set never mind a chance to see uli and herman etc get a chance to play for us with the band. I met Herman at the MSG Gig in Glasgow in April and he was filled with excitement at the chance to come to Nancy and play with them. What the hell happened guys?

The overall night in Nancy was dissapointing. James Kottak's behaviour was nothing short of disgraceful and unnacceptable. He was not even interested and did not seem to want to be there playing. He needs to realise how lucky he is to be playing with the Scorpions as he was not even trying to put on a show and i have now lost all my respect for him after this perormance. The overall sound was poor and the band were missing pieces of music and Klaus missed a couple of lines and after their perfect outstanding professional performance in Antwerp this show was dissapointing. Uli was out of sorts when he played with the guys in their set and he also did not look like he wanted to be there. Thankfully he came back to give the crowd something to enjoy afterwards but many missed this due to the very poor organisation from the venue who did not even let the crowd know Uli would be performing after scorps so many missed Uli and his show anyway. I for one did not Expect Michael to show up as he can be unpredictable but this was yet another reason for us all to be very angry as well as the Venue selling t Shirts advertising Michael Schenker being on the bill.

Whilst i may be just saying what others have said before me, I am sorry to be negative ut i cannot pretend these events did or did not happen. I will not be selling my ticket for munich as my flights are booked etc and i have spent another 1000 euros for this trip. However i will now seriously re think any more trips to see scorpions going forward which upsets me to admit. I have travelled to France 3 Times now and have also been to Berlin and belguim twice each as well as Budapest taking in 18 concerts in under 2 years. So you can see how angry i am that i am saying i will be unlikely to travel again after munich as the whole thing has upset me so much. How many more fans like us the die hards are they going to lose? I am starting to wonder if they even care about us now as they are just out for one reason..... to make as much money as possible.

They do not need the money any longer. We know Klaus or at least people close to the guys read this forum from time to time. I plead with them to start thinking more about us the real fans who love them and adore them and have followed them for years and years. What about all those years where they played small venues and through the mid nineties where they lost popularity???? Their fans are far more valuable than money. Their reputation is starting to tarnish and it is never too late for them to give us something back otherwise this forum may start losing some of their very best die hard fans who have supported them through thick and thin.

The next gathering for FOS is Munich in October. If the band realise that we are losing respect quickly then maybe they should show us some respect and stop taking us for granted and do something special for us on our next gathering in Munich!!!

I can feel your dissapointment and i feel pretty much the same...a lot of hours travelling a lot of money spent to see the only reunion show of this tour...and i feel that the band has taken the fans(specially the hardcore ones) for granted playing the same set list for 3 years,when other bands do farewell tours revisiting ALL the past albums,the Scorps seem not to have the will te rehearse!
Personally all i hope is to see some unreleased tracks to be released...i don't expect nothing more or less...

I usually don't say much anymore because seems each time I would speak my mind on the band I'd all these new fans jumping all over me as being a bad fan. But I along with Tom and Scott and even loudmouth Ted (only I'm allowed to call him that) mentioned that silly stuff like this has been coming up since amend took the reins. So we don't know if it's the band that told Michael not to play or Amend calling the shots. I can't see rudy tell his own brother no to play because Michael did some shows with Francis. Which band was Michael bring to Nancy, Herman and Francis or another bass player? What happened to the rumored post Scorpions band that would have included Michael and Rudy along with Herman and Francis?

Is this going to turn into one of those TWO LA Guns bands or TWO Asia bands crap? Not that Michael would ever go that way, but as a founding member of the Scorpions I can see him with two classic line-up guys touring and doing Scorpions songs. Is this possible? Is this nonsense still going on about Francis? I think this issue needs to be aired and cleared once and for all. He's being made out to be this super crook. From the other side it's been known for years that an associate of Francis was the culprit, not Francis himself. Lets not re-write history on this. I'm sure there are two sides to the story. Plus Francis has not been living the lavish rich lifestyle so where did those millions go? I agree, let it go guys. I mean Uli played with Francis and they did not ban him. There has to be more to the story. I mean Herman was there and Uli but no Michael?

whaauwwwwwwwwww the car was full loaded on a saturdaymorning....so Nancy here we come....Kristof,Joanne and I had our carpooling place like always ...so let's do our catering and hit the road after Antwerp...we didn't look for the band in Antwerp because the night to remember had to come. More then 6 hours driving,burning cars,traffickjam,carcrach,....camera's,...local stores looking for belgian flags (nothinggrrrrrrr) ...but live scorpions ESSEN ROCKED....us to our hotel...damned overbooked ...come come come on....my assistent wrote the new hotel name in we just did a grand prix in Nancy because we wanted live music NOW. The car easily found the VIPparking Tickets ,food and drinks .Let's rock
We found our italian friends so easy and there was no CURRY...so Adrian had to offer something else instead not easy but he did lol, Delphine !!!! Ludo!!!! they hit the barrier for hours to be certain for the nightscene of Scorpions. Around the arena there were many peoples 9999 and yeahhhhh ANTONIS what a great honnor to meet again. We had a very nice chat about life and music..and made a deal for the Uli roth show. I met several crew and pressfriends...but no flag anymore i missed Nick (damned ! )
Everybody talked about the final night to remember will be special. I saw Uli on interviews very relaxed and YES mr Rudy Lenners our belgian ex drummer scorpions .He's very friendly and respectful ! cheers man. My phone rings i thought this is Curry but no it was. ... ....yeah my Fosfriend Kavr !! yeah he couldn't resist i understand man you rock !
So the band i saw Pat mc manus ! great musician always very good rock and guitar ! Karelia saw them many times they rocked but in Strasbourg they had more power....Gammaray was super to hear . On the frontstage you could easily met every bandmember and talk...nice ... Even Rudy Lenners came back to have a nice conversation....the evening(wind) was around the corner ,Mr Achim walked like a bussinessman to the PA so it was time to rock almost......

It is sad for us, and it should be sad for them, I cannot imagine nothing more sad for anykind of artist than this: the last thing you do on your long career is just for money and nothing or few more than that. I and I think all of us expected more...



One thing I do not understand is this: Even if ir is not official the thing with Herman & Michael being because of Francis ( I do believe is true) why for example they played with Uli in 2006 & 2007 when he was touring with Francis??? it was the same situation, and they did shows together, why is ir different if the ones who play are Herman & Michael??
But well even then there were "strange" things like the mysterious cancellation of Uli's show in wacken 2006 where he would have played with his band (including Francis) and the scorpions, but even then there was no cancellation of the reunion show, so why now this child behavior...

So now 25 years later with the guys all 25 years old and thus more mature, how could this fame go to their heads? And what fame? Playing in Asia? I don't think it's fame. Possibly Amend is making them tons of money with his management skills, (0r lack of)? A lot of things do not add up. As we said Uli played with Francis and it was ok, but not Michael? Maybe they are angry that Michael's band with Herman and Francis is doing Scorpions songs and sounding good?

I don't know anymore, it's gotten so crazy. I have never seen so many fans turn on our guys, but I find it very justified IF they are responsible for what happened. Frankly I don't know what is going on, but as for James, maybe he was just sick??? I don't know and whatever the boys are doing I can only shake my head cuz I don't know.

Okay, I was not, who was in the situation with Francis in the past, but it is a fact that forgiveness should be happened finally.

WELL, I HAVE TO STATE MY DESAGREEMENT HERE...

IF FRANCIS´STORY IT´S REAL, AND MOST OF US THINK SO (AND IT´S NOT TAKING THEIR LUNCH BUT 10 MILLION DOLLARS...IN THE 90´S, WHICH WAS MUCH MORE MONEY THAN IT IT´S NOW...) I THINK SCORPIONS´REACTION IN THIS CASE (TAKING THIS -FRANCIS AND HERMAN IN THE SAME BAND-AS THE REAL REASON FOR NOT PLAYING TOGETHER) IT´S VERY HONEST FROM THEIR OWN

WHAT TO ME IT´S SO WEIRD IS HERMAN PLAYING TOGETHER WITH FRANCIS, AS I´VE SAID IN A PREVIOUS POST:
