US Setlist

Unread postby Billy Mac » June 3rd, 2012, 5:42 am

Anyone have a setlist for the US leg of the tour for Summer 2012? I should probably just wait and be surprised. But it would be nice to see. To be honest, I'd like them to play something off Comeblack like the Kinks or something. I've also always wanted to hear Lovedrive live or You Give Me All I Need. Or do they stick with what they did in the US on the first leg?

One song I'd like them to drop is Tease Me Please Me. Don't know why they're so enamored with that song, to be honest. A good tune, to be sure. But I guess as a guy, I feel wierd singing that main verse back to a group of 50+ year old men. :-)

Got my tix for Chicago June 29th! FINAL STING INDEED!!

I would love to know their U.S. setlist too. Finally got tickets for San Diego, June 20. The set lists i've found from their last few days in Europe are seriously lacking...where's Coming Home and No One Like You? The latter was a huge hit and a great, great song. Of course everyone has their own favorites...but please, I hope they add these. I will keep looking for updates, since they are just starting their U.S. dates.

Blue Butterfly: It's not uncommon for them not to play No-One Like You in EU. As big as a hit as it was here, not so in Europe. I have no doubt it will include it on their US leg.

It will be the same as it has been for the past several years. BUT, boy I don't know what is going on with the guys I held such huge respect for being different than most rockstars and truly "loving" their fans, after reading the topic about Nancy, France!! Sheesh,,, maybe it IS time for our guys to hang up the ol guitars and mics, yeah? :?

I thought the reaction on the French show was an over-reaction to say the least. There are many things outside a band's control. Personally, I'm not a huge Uli fan. The Scorps for me are with Matthias. Any concert mis-haps typically have more to do with unforseen circumstances, promoters, security, mgt, etc. So I really hope and assume no-one thought the Scorps were personally in any way sticking it to their fans intentionally. Over the course of a massive 3 year tour, things happen.

In Chicago, we'll have none of that nonsense. Tesla will go on for about 40 mins and then Scorpions will play their requisite 1:30. Can't wait!

I don't know Billy Mac, it's like things aren't the same since they announced their retirement tho. They have pretty much dissed the rest of the world with doing most of their tour in France, among other things. The events in Nancy just sounds like things are way too much out of their control since they have been riding this new wave of fame. Yeah sure I can't wait to see them, I consider a couple of the band members "friends" and don't want to sound like I am holding it against the guys, but there is too much happening that is disappointing the fans over and over and over......
So Scorps dudes, what's the deal neal? :(

Just found out the USA set list...The band will be playing the best of ABBA and Backstreet Boys..it should be a rocking show...

Expect the same set list as the european tour but include No one like you and take out a few europe favs like Is there anybody out there?,Well burn the sky and send me an angel..plus it will probably be a 95-100 minute set and not the 2 hour set europe is getting..

I can't understand why the setlist on Humanity Hour 1 tour was better.
This is the farewell tour, the show is shorter and they drop the song from Unbreakable and Humanity Hour 1, and they even don't play When the Smoke Is Going Down at the end of the show..

Another set list debate! Oh goodie.

We'll know pretty soon what the set list will be like here in North America. Not much longer to wait and honestly I like being surprised and not know in advance what they will play.

Everyone has that one (or ten songs) that they feel the Scorps have to play or they will complain about it. When you've been creating music as long as this band has, it's impossible to please everyone.

They play the new stuff - the old fans wonder why.
They play the old stuff - the new fans get a blank stare on their faces.

They play 50 dates in France - other countries wonder what about them.
They play XX dates in North America - it's never enough.

I'm just happy that they are still out there touring, no matter what songs they end up playing.

Reno/San Francisco at the end of the week! Woot!

I think what someone else mentioned here is dead-on. No-matter what they play, no-one will ever be 100% satisfied. It makes sense for them to play more 70's stuff in Europe where its far better known. Scorps only have a chance to play about 18 songs. Between Lovedrive, AM, Blackout, LAFS and CW that is where nearly all those songs need to go (not to mention about 10 mins for Matthias and James to do their thing). Scorps need to end their last ever US tour with the tunes that put them on the map here. This is a business, as much as we try to gloss that over. On their last leg, they were playing to as little as 2,000 ppl in some cities and altogether had to skip some cities due to their decline in popularity.

All that said, Im going to be there loud and proud hoisting one final beer to the legends...THE SCORPIONS! CAN'T WAIT.

Thank you Klaus, Matthias, Rudy, Pawel and James. You've been the soundtrack of the past 30 years of my life!
