The soundtrack to the upcoming film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical "Rock Of Ages", which showcases popular rock songs from the '70s and '80s, features the cast — Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Russell Brand and Julianne Hough — singing some of the greatest hits of the "hair-band" era.

Due to be released June 5 — ten days before the film hits theatres — "Rock Of Ages: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" features the following track listing:

I heard that it was due to Tom Cruise's explicit pole dance to the song.....well good grief, instead of cutting the song, just cut the damn scene!! sheesh dildos!!!! Yest another slight to our boys I guess. Figures!

It's the explicit way Tom Cruise is pole dancing that has cut the song from the movie!! Another disrespect for the guys, courtesy of the good ol USA. Altho there are all sorts of movies with explicit things, I guess they wanted to keep a certain rating!! Damn!!

What I posted on the Official Facebook page for Rock of Ages, where they ask people to ask any question or make any statement. So I did:

All of the Scorpions fans, which range in the hundreds of thousands, are seriously disappointed that the Hurricane.. song was cut!! What disrespect for the only band that has never broken up from the 70's and are STILL touring and cutting albums. If the scene was too much for the rating, you could have cut the scene but still keep the song. This just sucked that a huge band that had so much influence on the bands that you are portraying are kept in. Example: Doc McGhee told Bon Jovi, when they were openers for Scorps, to watch them on stage and LEARN how to perform from them. Ask any band today and Scorps figure somewhere in their lives. And yet, you pulled their song!!! HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF FANS ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE NOT HAPPY!!

Just bought the Extended Edition on DVD and the scene is not cut. I was really surprised. The scene is hilarious ! They also play No One Like You in the back ground of one of the club scenes. Again I was surprised to hear a 2nd Scoprs song in the movie. Overall, the movie was pretty good. It wasn't GREAT, but I'll fast forward to the RYLH scene and watch that part again. LMBO !!!
