How about playing Knebworth again?? Maybe at the Sonisphere Festival!! Saw you there back in 1985 when you were special guests to Deep Purple, that was my first festival and you blew me away and will never forget it. Highlight of the day was The Zoo, awesome.

Theres a simple reason for that: MONEY.

Its their farewell tour and they ask probably too much money and the promoters arent agree with that.

In the past years, they were just a 80s rock band, so the price wasnt that big.

Now Scorps know theyre very wanted because of the farewell tour, they put the price very high, probably sooooo high that countries like UK, Australia are left with nothing. :(

Rudy commented late last year that they want to play the UK. But it's up to their manager (Peter Amend) and if the money is right then they will play the UK..as always its not about the fans its about the money..

It's about all countries and not only UK. But I wonder why my country can have Scorps shows every year (2 in 2010, 1 in 2011 & 3 in 2012) and such countries as UK, Italy, Spain, Australia etc can't?

this answer is simple..The Scorpions can make more money playing in 15-20,000 seat arenas in Russia where those other countries the Scorps are not big enough to play in arenas.

this is another reason the Scorpions play the same countries every year..they will play where they can make some money and not put the fans first. See here in North America "out of sight out of mind" and when the band decided back in 2003 that they would take 7 years off from playing a full tour of our country they lost alot of fans during that period of time. Just like them ignoring the UK for all those years in the mid-90's through the current period they went from playing arenas in 1990 in the UK to now playing small theaters.

right now in 2012 Australia is a loss cause..they have some great Rock fans there but after the band has ignored them for their whole career why would they decide to play there and then say goodbye..remember this tour is not about the fans it's about the money..

Italy and spain is only a festival option just like finland and sweden..they can fly in for one show and leave..

there are a few countries where the band can play and bleed that country dry of money..

Russia, Greece,South America and now France...

And yet as disgusting as this all is, and as angry we are at the disrespect, we still follow them to several shows if possible. And Amend deviously knows this!! Don't they know that these fans in other countries are paying for tickets that are probably half of what they make?
As was said earlier, the minute they saw the resurgence of popularity after announcing retirement, the prices all went up on everything!! And yet, we continue to perpetuate the problem. We are to blame for keeping the hungry pig fed! Me included. sigh.....

I can't understand how can they lost their fans? If you're a fan you're always waiting for them even if it takes long 7 years. And when they finally come to your country you have much stronger feelings.
I listen to Scorps since 1995 and their first visit to Ukraine was in 1997. Unfortunately I was just 14 and my parents didn't let me to go to other city. I thought that it was my only chance in a lifetime to see my favourite band. Though I never lost a hope and in 2001 they were back to Ukraine. So I had to wait many years to see the band and Scorps didn't lost a fan in my face. It means that if you want to see the band you'll see them in any case. You can wait long years for their visit in your country or go to other countries. But it's stupid to quit loving the band if they don't come to your country.

And if you don't have money enough to do a trip to abroad to see your favourite band? You're lucky because they played several times in your country in these last years,I'm from Italy and I saw them 2 times, one in Germany and one in Belgium, and both times I had to spend a lot of money,I blame Rudy when he says" for this final tour we want to play where we never been"it was better say"we want to play where we earn a lot of money" this is the truth, sad but true!

Of course I can understand you. I know that not everyone have enough money to trip abroad. But it's not the reason to stop loving your favourite band.
Do you know which was the situation in former USSR??? We lived behind the iron curtain so many years. And all of these long years we were waiting for the concerts of our favourite bands. It was like a never-come-true dream for us. Even if soviet citizen had enough money to trip abroad he couldn't do it because of the iron curtain.
Now the situation is very simple. Besides living in EU you have some easy ways to visit other EU countries and you don't need so much money for it. It only depends on how much do you want it.
Sure it's better when the band come to your country but there are also other ways to see them!

but you have to remember alot of the North American and UK fans have been fans since the 70's. So when a Band disappears for a long time you lose touch with the band. I'm not one of them but there are alot of fans like that in the world. OUT OF SIGHT OUT MIND thinking in this world..

I fully agree with Vladimir's thoughts.

As for Scorpions, I feel lucky, because they play in Hungary, and in our area time by time, so I am absolutely satisfied.
As you all know, I am as so upset, and sad because of the situation with Uli, and band as you are about Scorps.
I so would love to hear a full Ulishow, but can't efford to trawel to France, Greece, Italy, Svitzerland, and England to see him, but the fact that I am a huge fan of his haven't changed yet, and never will have changed, and I won't quit hope to hear him live with his band one day.
I am sad, but Uli won't lose me as his fan.
Klaus-THE SPECIAL ONE,
Rudolf-THE WISE ONE,
Matthias-THE COOL ONE,
Pawe-THE SIMPLE ONE,
James-THE CRAZY ONE,
The Scorpions are THE NICEST GUYS.

Don't get me wrong I feel privileged to have seen the Scorpions with Uli twice on their Humanity Tour and I don't wanna' sound selfish or anything. I'm just a bit dumbfounded as seeing that this was to be their Farewell tour, I was expecting even more shows. Seems like I got it all wrong.

NEVERMIND, MOST OF US ARE DISSAPOINTED.

IS NOT THAT WE EXPECT FROM THEM TO BE ROBOTS AS MANY FORUMMERS SUGGEST IN THEIR POSTS, IS THAT SINCE IS SUPPOSED TO BE THEIR LAST WORLD TOUR THEY SHOULD PLAY NOT MORE DATES BUT IN MORE COUNTRIES.

YOU CAN´T SAY YOU´RE TOURING EUROPE WHEN IN FACT YOU´RE JUST TOURING FRANCE.

YOU CAN´T SAY IT´S A REAL WORLD TOUR WHEN YOU ONLY VISIT A FEW COUNTRIES.

AND TO BE THE LAST ONE, IS VERY VERY SAD
FOREVER AND A DAY
