The show in St Petersburg. 4 crazy days))))

The show in St Petersburg. 4 crazy days))))

So, here's my loooonngggggg review, as requested

Let me start my story with a little flash back in December, 2011. Then, I didn't even get back mentally from the Brussels' show, when I saw a huge amount of messages on my FB page, russian network VK and sms-es on my cell phone with the contents like "have you seen THIS???" or "hey... surprise!!!" and like this. And in all those messages there were links to the announcement of the Scorpions show in St Petersburg.
OMG!!!!! :o :D   To say I was shoked is to say nothing...I almost fell under the table when I saw it...damn, I really didn't expect them to come to my home city once again...so my heart started beating very fast coz of extreme happiness I felt then.. :D
I hurried with booking my tickets for the show, coz right the next day they raised the rates for standing tickets, so I managed to get the tix at normal rate. And I was happy!
After that me and my russian fos team started to discuss how we would meet the guys. So we started to arrange M&G for them in the airport.
There appeared an idea to award them with the medals "for conquerring our hearts" and to give the the honorary certificates with the medals. Everyone liked this idea, so we started to fulfill it. We easily found the workshop where we ordered the medals, and, we made the certificates. Yep, it was easy.
So everything was ready almost 2 weeks in advance, and we impatiently waited for Scorps arriving!

Also I was excited coz I had to meet a Canadian fan - Joanne, and she's a real hero to make this her crazy trip to Russia - I hope now she has only good memories of it! :)

But of course, you know, there wasn't a scorps show, that would come easily - I mean this time I also had to worry alot for this show cause of Klaus' illness and 4 cancelled shows right before St Peter's...yep, I had double feeling about it - on the one hand, I prayed for the show not to be cancelled, but, on the other hand I understood that 1 week is a very short period for Klaus to have a full recovery, and I didn't want him to risk his health once again for us, so those were really hard days for me...
Nevertheless, I ordered a bread "Karavay" for meet&greet" -coz it's a Russian tradition to meet important guests with bread and salt, thus showing them our respect. And also I bought Russian and USSR flags for the show...( hehe..later the USSR flag went to the guys in the airport, and the Russian one I lost in that mess during the entrance to the show)

Finally everything cleared, I've got a message from my FOS friend and leader of our fan club, called "Scorps.ru", that they were surely coming on Monday. That meant I had to be ready to meet them!
:)
So my crazy scorps adventure started on Sunday, 15th, when I finally met Joanne. Hehe.. she was "lucky" to stand in a huge queue with a huge amount of ppl arrived from Uzbekistan - so it was the 1st her strong impression which I guess she will never forget..
After meeting we went to get her show ticket, then to her hotel where she left her bag, and after we had a walk around the city center. Thanks God the weather was pretty good ( a bit cold, but sunny) - we had much fun walking around the city center with Joanne - she a very nice lady, I hope she will forgive me my bad English, and hope she understood what I was sayind to her during our tour...Though, it was a great English practice for me!!! hehe, my daughter liked Joanne, she played with her, so Joanne gave her a nickname " a pink smurf" . We took some pix, I tried to tell her about my city, but to my shame, I didn't remember much - only the general things. Still I hope she liked our little tour and understood at least a small part of what I said to her... .

Though, we haven't got the certain info about the time of their arriving till the last minute... - the only sms I got to my phone from our leader was " they will arrive from Frankfurt in the evening. Please see the shedule" - f**ing great! thanks God there was only one flight in time that matched "evening" definition... :|

On Monday morning I went to meet my friends from Belarus, then we went together to get the meeting bread, and when we got back home ( as, according to the info, scorps arrived only at half past 6 pm, so we had enough time to have some rest), I saw a message from Ben on my FB. He said he had already addived in SBP. So didn't miss my chance to call him, and asked him if he'd agree to sit with me and my fos friends somewhere - and he kindly agreed! Woow! Great! Btw, that was another moment to worry about - when Ben asked here if anyone agreed to show him the city - I immediately agreed, but some minutes later realized that on the same day we planned meeting the guys, gosh I was really tearing apart, and just prayed that I would be able to combine those meetings. So, thanks God, everything arranged by itself. Though, unfortunayely I didn't manage to show Ben the city - well but he was also tired, and besides, the weather was awful - cold and rainy.
Still, I prepared a small souvenir for him - I bought a bottle of Vodka and stuck his photo on it, and made a sign "Special Vodka Big Ben" - well, I think you all saw it on his FB page.
We met Ben at a pub in his hotel, and spent amazing time together! Yeah, it was a really great pleasure to meet him, and to talk to him ( haha - he was mostly talking, and I was mostly listeneing, though  ). He is incredible Man - a funny, clever, interesting companion, he told us so many interesting and funny stories - so I really enjoyed that time we were together. :) :)
So, dear Ben, once again, IT WAS A GREAT PLEASURE TO MEET YOU IN PERSON!!! YOU'RE A GREAT MAN!!! ONCE AGAIN I WANT TO EXPRESS MY RESPECT TO YOU!!! I hope we'll meet somewhere once again ( hmm.. still...maybe Munich    )

After meeting Ben we moved to the airport to meet the guys.. oh gosh, my heart was beating so fast then, coz I was thinking that I would have a chance to see them again, and, to say at least a couple of words to each of them ( esp to Klaus, of course, coz last year, as u know, I couldn't say to him more than just trivial "thank you" and some stupid words  ...)
So this time I had a great hope that I would manage to say him something more decent, to thank him personally, to express my respect, etc ( well, you know that...)
And, though it was so damn cold, wind and rain were just directly to my face - I didn't feel that, I was just praying for our M&G to be ok...
So, as soon as we arrived at the airport, the 1st thing I'd done was making a deal with the airport security, to get a permission of playing accordion ( yep, we planned to play " No One Like You" and sing it with a bit changed text at the moment they would appear), and taking photos. And we got the permission even without any discussions of arguing. Well, I was happy, but felt that smth was wrong, coz everything was going the way too smoothly. Still, we made a couple of repetitions of M&G - we decided who to whom of the guys would give the presents - two of us for each of the guys -one was with the medal, another was with the flowers and the certificate. I'm sure there's no need to tell you to whom I was supposed to present the medal... :romance-inlove:
And, when finally on arrival display in front of the guys' flight there appeared a long-awaited sign "landed", we prepared for a meeting...my gosh.. that time of waiting was the hardest for me...we checked everything for a hundred times, I just repeated the words I was going to say to Klaus while I would be presanting him the gift, well, everyone was overwhelmed with the emotions... my heart was ready to jump out...

Unfortunately, this dream didn't come true fully. As I wrote, the guard didn't let us approach to the guys - as soon as they appeared in the doors, my friend from Belarus started to play on accordion, and I saw how Klaus noticed him, and made a step towards us, but there immediately appeared a security guy and blocked him from us.. the same was with others.. and we were only standing with bread and gifts, and watching how our dreams and hopes were dying... still, Klaus stopped for a while and looked at us - so we decide to use this moment, and to try to give them the presents -so we manage to pass them through the security, and I tried to say to Klaus a couple of welcoming words - and he replied me smth almost whispering...so I immediately understood why the security didn't allow us to communicate with him - of couse they all were worrying about Klaus, and, at the same time I was worry that he hadn't fully recovered yet... The only one who didn't care for securities and managed to be with us for a while, was James. Well he was as usually nice and funny - gave autographs, we made some pix with him, and then he huged and kissed almost all of us - hehe, he's such a cutie, as usually. :) :)
Well, after that I had a real mixture of feelings - in my mind I understood everything, but in my heart there was a kind of sadness, - still now I remember that meeting only from the positive side - and, of course, no hard feelings to the guys -no way! there wasn't even a such thought in my head! - I saw they want to come to us, and I understand everything - moreover, I think it was the right decision on some hand...
So, we saw them. we greeted them, gave them the gifts ( well.. not the way it was planned, but it really doesn't matter now) - and they saw us, and I'm sure they appreciated it - so this is the main thing to me - and I am happy and have only positive memories about this meeting. :)
After the airport some of my friends went to try to meet them near the hotel, but not me - you know, somehow I don't feel it's right to run after them everywhere - I understand that they were tired then, and, after all, they are just human beings as we are, they need to have some rest, they need time for private life, and we must respect their private space!!! So, seeing that situation, I really didn't want to annoy them, it wasn't right at all, so me and my Belarussian friends went home. After all, we were also tired like hell...
Btw, I watched the video of the fans, who waited for 7 (!!!) hrs at the hotel doors - and there Klaus just ran with the securities from the car to the hotel... it seems that some of them were lucky to get autographs from others, but, once again, you know, I'm not an autograph-hunter, I wanted just to greet and thank guys for everything they'd done for me...just to express my feelings, my respect.. .Anyways, still I think that the meeting went quite well :)

On the show day we arrived at the venue place at 2 pm, to reserve places in the queue - coz last year the queue was numbered, and the guy who organized all this gave the list to the security guys, who, later, told us all to stand in the accordance with our numbers - and everything was just great with the entrance organization then, that's why I though it would be in the same way this time...yep, there were numbers, we reserved them for us, then we pick up Joanne at the hotel, returned to the venue, where we met Ben once again - he was in his truck, so we talked to him for a while. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't good at all..again the strong wind and rain..so I got completely wet while I was standing near Ben's truck, but his funny tales warmed me well.
At about 5 pm there appeared securities and told us to go out of the borders - and then I understood that that time the numbers wouldn't work, coz nobody cared for them - the most brazen were the first ( ok, I also was among the 1st ones    ). So all we needed was to overlive in the worst case, 2 hrs standing on a cold rain and wind. But ok, getting to the 1st row was worth it. And when I stood outdoors, though, how it would be great if they would let us in a bit in advance..later I really regretted about that thought, coz, when they let us in, the real hell began...
Yes they let us insude the complex, but not in the arena - and can you imagine that huge crowd standing near the inner doors, and of course the back was pushing us to the doors - and there were only 2 security guys for all of us there.. my gosh, the pushing was so hard, that I thought I would fall, or the crowd would break me something...it was really terrible.. we were bagging the guard to open the doors, but at the same time we could hear the there still was a soudcheck - we heard Klaus sang Living For Tomorrow, hehe, and even tried to sing it, but frankly speaking my head was busy only with one thought them - to survive! I didn't even think of getting to the 1st row.. it was really scared. So, when finally, after about 40 minutes of waiting in that hell, they opened the doors - my only thought was - "don't fall!! whatever happens, please stay! you must stay on your feet!!!" - and I was really praying, and it seems, God heard my prayers, so I stood it all, and when I passed through the door, I ran to the stage - the closet to me was Rudy's side, but I saw that the 1st row there was already full.. I stood in the second one, but then I noticed my friend standing on the opposite side, and there was a small space between her and the next girl. I don't remember how I ran, but I managed to get into this little space, and yep, then I could breathe out...Then I saw Joanne standing also in the front row right in from of me ( I was on the edge of a stage extention - it was, btw, not very big this time - on Matt's side, and she was on the Rudy's one) - so, Thanks God, she survived, I thought.
Then I saw my husband coming to me - he stood right behind me - and as he came to me, he said "where's your earring?" - oho, I lost the earing in that mess, but I didn't care - I was extremely happy that I wasn't hurt and moreover, I was in the front row!

As for the opening band - it was Russian band "Terra" is seems( sorry if the wrong name...) - it seems they won in a competition the organizers made, but I might be wrong, as you know, I wasn't interested much in the opening band. Ana it was nothing interesting with them..kinda boring music, so,as usually, as I stood right infront of the clock, I watched only on it, and even learned the sequence of changing time-temperature-humidity on it  .

The scorps' show was delayed a bit, as I knew from Ben later, coz of technical problems with the light.
As I read the reviews about french shows here, I expected to see the new intro..but it was still Bernardino ( of course with missing R) valley...and SITT as the 1st song. No, it didn't disappoint me - ha! with the 1st Rudy's riffs of SITT the wave of highest emotions just covered me, again I felt that excitement and happiness!! :)
Yes! Ladies and Gentlemen, children of all ages, please welcome theee...SCORPIONS!!! :character-beavisbutthead:

Yeah...all those spent hrs in the cold and heat worth it!!!!! I was just enjoying every second of the show, every note played by them, every sound, sung by Klaus...Still I was worried about his voice, but he was just gorgeous - I understood that he hadn't fully recovered, but he acted as a real professional, so once again I could enjoy his divide voice. So I tried to catch everything!
And, when I heard "is there anybody there" I though wow! here's the 1st suprise!!! cool!!!. Btw, the girl, standing next to me seemed to come to hear only WOC or SLY, coz she stood with the stone face all the rest time.. damn - what for she stood in the 1st row then :x ??? But I actually didn't care much, though if she wasn't there I could stand in a better place then...
At one moment, when Klaus came to my side, and we met with the eyes - I started to wave him amd, damn, it seems he recognized me, coz he stopped for a while, and looked at me and smiled directly at me and it even seemed to me that he said "hi" - but this was likely my fantasy. My gosh.. I can't even describe how I felt then...I just thought - did he really recognized me???Coz if he did, the would be a really great honor for me.. :)
Others were also great! Rudy, as usually ran along the stage, bringing to us tons of positive energy, and I also got some attention signs from him, as well as from Matt - cool. I was pleased they know their fans.
James was James  . Crazy, funny, great! :music-rockon:
Pawel was also in a good shape.
They refreshed their clothes and guitars as well.
Haha, when I heard the riffs from "Hit between the eyes", I didn't believe my ears -wooow!!! that was a blast!!! :music-rockon: :music-headbanger: :character-beavisbutthead: Though, I enjoyed everything, coz once again, the most important thing for me in their shows is the energy they give us, that spirit of love, that atmosphere of unity, that makes your soul flying high above, and our souls just sing together on one wave..."exchange your troubles for some love"...yeah..that's it. :)
Unfortunately I didn't catch a drumstick or guitar pick - well, actually somehow they didn't through much stuff to my side.. but it's all not important for me as well.

The fans prepared 2 flash mobs for this show - one is singing " A moment in a million years" after the main part of it. They prepared sheets of paper, where on one side it was written "thank you" in english, german and russian ( in translit) , and on the other there was a text of the song. Unfortunately it wasn't successful, coz not many of fans supported it eventually...

And the 2nd one is throwing a paper airplanes on stage during WOC - yep, and it worked, and scorps really liked it, esp Klaus - he started to throw them back to the audience -yep it was kinda feedback to us, and it was really great!!!
( UPD - yep, Joanne has already told about it in her review)

Yep, one more special moment was in the end of "Always Somewhere" -then all the crowd started to chant "Scor-pi-ons!!!Scor-pi-ons!!!!..." - and I saw Klaus' face then - it was shining, he really appreciated that, and I then was happy and proud to be a part of this big family - the Family of Spiders! :) :) :)

So, the show was really amazing for me! :)
And I would like to thank the scorpions for giving me those unforgettable moments, for charging my batteries, for bringing me to the world of love! You are the best guys, you are extreme professionals, and I have the deepest respect to you, and I never stop thanking you for your music and shows!!!
We left high on emotions, despite my body was hurt coz of really brutal entrance, and, of course, usual pushing during the show - coz Scorpions gave me so much love and positive energy, that I was just flying high, feeling so happy and free - THANK YOU DEAR SCORPIONS FOR THE FANTASTIC KICKIN' ASS SHOW, ONCE AGAIN!!!!

And, while we were standing near the arena after the show, there came a crazy thought to my head - to try to see them the next morning near the hotel. Yeah, I never went to the hotel, esp after the show, coz I new they were too tired, and I really didn't find it to be good, but this time I desided to change my principles, coz the desire to thank them for that amazing show was so big that douldn't stand it... so we arrange an appointment for 10 am in the morning near the hotel...

In the morning I was really fighting with myself, like I dan an angel and a demon were sitting on my shoulders..and angel said to me - " hey, what the crazy thing you're going to do, leave this idea! You have no chance, besides, you'll look so stupid near the hotel", but demon was whisperring :" C'mon! You must try! after all, can you be crazy once in a life? let's go!" so.. we went...
As we came to the hotel we saw there had already been several fans there. The weather was really cold. Thanks God it wasn't raining. So now we had to wait...damn, I really felt stupit standing and freezing there..but I had to try..to say at least simple "thank you" to them, to any of them ( esp if I would be lucky to say it to Klaus  ..though, I new I had a very small chance  ..).
We spent almost 2 hrs under a strong wind, I almost froze to death...then finally we saw James coming out! Yeah, he saw us and stayed with us for a while - yep, it was very kind of him, again! I thanked him for the show, and told something else, and then he was just blocked with other fans, who wanted photos and autograhs - well I had both with him, so I continued waiting for others. Well Pawel just passed by, so Matt did, and then...a security announced tha Klaus was ready to give us the autographs, and that he was waiting for us in the hall.. my goshness :D :D ...I can't describe what I felt then...I was happy, I was thanking God for this opportunity, and I was so thankful to Klaus for his kind guesture..once again I realized that he was really incredible, unique Man, attentive to his fans...who knows, probably somehow he knew that we were freezing outside and waiting for them, so he just couldn't deny us...
Security told us to take only one thing to sign, but I didn't care - you know, that autograph wasn't so impotant for me - I was happy to have chuch a great chance to thank him, to tell him a couple of warm words, and to present him my personal souveniers - I made for each of them coins "7 lucky roubles" and, personally for Klaus, whom I consider to be my angel, I bought a little silver angel in a church, so I was just dreaming of giving these presents to him..that what I couldn't do in the airport.
At the same time I realized that I have too little time and too much to say and to do...so.. when my turn came, I just burst into the hall with a real flood of words - I ws thanking him for the show, for the "Hit between the eyes", giving him my presents, and explaining what they were, and a postcard to sign ( it was the first thing I found in my bag...), telling I would write about the show on the forum ( I really don't know why I said exactly THIS to him   ..), and I was saying something else, I don't remember now.. - and can you imagine that! All this was said during just a few seconds, I was speaking so fast, and so emotionally  ( well, who knows me in person, will understand it... ) - so..to all this flood of words and emotions He just raised his incredibly blue eyes, smiled with the widest smile and said only one thing : "FANTASTIC" - now I really don't know to which part of my "speech" he said that, and likely he didn't understand a single word I said, so I think I simply shocked him and he just said it to all my saying  .. even the security started to tell me "enough!", but still on my way bach I continued saying something like "forever in my heart"  Gosh, I lost my mind then, but indeed, can I bea crazy fan once in my life  :) ? Coz those precious seconds with Klaus were REALLY FANTASTIC! :) :) So I could say it all to him, gave my presents, I was completely happy ( though, at the same time feeling shame a bit for acting in a such a crazy way   ...)
The last one who came out was Rudy - he also started to give autographs and communicate with us, he was in a great mood, as usually, and there was so much positive energy coming from him! He's also inclredible, and deeply respected by me Man 8-) . I wish I could talk to him, but the autograph-hunters just surrounded him, so I only could wave him, and say "thank You, Rudy" :) . Well, the security got him away from us soon. We stood in front of the cars, waving them, seeing off our good friends, no, our relatives, the founders of the FAMILY OF SPIDERS :) .
So.. I was happy! I was just flying above the Earth :) :angelic-green: ! But we need to find a cafe to warm up with at least a cup of coffee.
hehe, and while we were sitting there, on the radio there started to play SLY - I was enjoying it and my cup of coffee, rememberind all what happened with me during those days...
Then we went to sit all together in a pub - there we discussed everything, shared out impressions and emotions once again, and finally there came time for me to say good-bye to all my friends, including Joanne..yeah,we spent a fantastic time with her! Yep, I could practice my English, we coulld tell each other many interesting and funny stories, well.. it was sad to say good-bye, but I had to. Afrer all, that time spent together was FANTASTIC! I had really crazy 4 days with my friends and the Scorpions. And I'm gratefuli to all of them for those really precoius days!! I'll keep the memories of that time forever in my heart! :)
Well.. I'm a realist and likely it was my last scorps' show..hardly I'll have a chance to see them once again, though, of course still I have a great hope for Munich in my heart, as well as now I pray for Klaus' health, coz still i think that if they have enough energy and health to be on tour, they won't stop touring. :)
So now I have only best and the most positive memories of that amazing time :)
As I already said, I didn't have my camers with me, so, as soon as I'll collect the pix from my friens, I'll put them here :)

PS. I know, that there's a very little chance that he reads this, but.. whatewer.   .

Dear Klaus!

This is my personal "thank you" to You! Once again you proved that You're incredible, outstanding Man with a Big , rich soul and Heart! I can't really express all my feelings to You! Just a huge respect, love and admiration!
Thank You for the amazing show in St Petersburg, for the"Hit between the eyes"!
And, once again, thank You for saving my life, for keeping me going ahead, for bringing so many friends all over the world to my life. Your divine velvet voice touched my soul so many years ago, and now my heart and soul belong to You forever!
Thank You for being so kind to spare us a few minutes in the hotel...And.. I am sorry for that mees of words I said to You in the Hotel...I just tried to thank You..and let that little angel I gave you save You on Your way...please take care of yourself, coz fans all over the world need You, need Your voice and energy!
Wigh huge love and respect!

AMAZING REVIEW NADYA!! I want to say one thing about Klaus; giddy!! Yes after many times of being around him, he STILL makes me giddy. He is an incredible man and so precious and full of life and love and energy and beauty all around him!! If I could see aura, his would be warm and glowing!!!

(I wish one thing; that Ben wouldn't have misunderstood me calling him "silly" when he posted sthg to me a while back on FB. :( As most of you know, that term is used as an endearment and not as insult, but as an American, we say slang that is totally taken wrong by other countries and I sure wish I could have convinced him that it was harmless. But what can ya say, it is what it is and if folks can't forgive than that is on them. ***! I call MJ silly all the time, Ben! )

Anyway, thx again for that fantastic review and for taking us there!!

Wow Nadya what a great review, so good that it seems we are near you, thank you to share :)
Though, I enjoyed everything, coz once again, the most important thing for me in their shows is the energy they give us, that spirit of love, that atmosphere of unity, that makes your soul flying high above, and our souls just sing together on one wave..."exchange your troubles for some love"...yeah..that's it.

Yes Nadya that's it, exactely what I feel in their concerts :romance-heartsfade: , I don't know if I would go to another group concert because I'm afraid I could be deceived and couldn't forget our Scorps' concerts, so full of love, energy... I don't know for you but for me it's the first time and the only one in my life I become a fan and love each person from a group !! :D 8)
Nadya I keep my fingers crossed for you for Munich and if you can come to the concert, I would like to be near you too :P
Rouen, Caen, Le Mans.......München ;) ...When you came into my life...:)

Wow, wow! Thanks Nadia! I was sure it will be very interesting and emotional!

Happy for you, that you had a great time. And Klaus, yeah.. he`s one in a billion! Such a human being is born one in a centuries :P And I`m sure, if he was completely recovered, he would have stopped in the airport, but still.. you`ve met him, right!

I`m sure too, that he knows you perfectly and appreciated all the wonderful gifts you gave to him!

I`ll see you in Munich, dear! I`m still sure you`ll make it! Just believe!

well..I'll never know that ( hehe, I'm even not sure that he took my gifts with him, coz at the moment I gave them to him, he just put them next to him on the table...) - but I hope it is so :P :)
anyway I'm happy that I had such a great chance to see him and talk to him -it was already a great pleasure and honor for me :)
