No M&G left for Merriweather, but got a pair for Philly. Anyone know what hotels are near the Mann?

don't think I can do both - i'm gonna try like hell tho. got 2 M&G for Philly since Merriweather's was sold out. If I can swing it - i will be at both. I'm just hoping this M&G goes thru- the only other chance i had was the one that was cancelled in 2010 in Ohio due to Klaus' laryngitis.

check out the lack of ticket sales for Merriweather show..i have been monitoring ticket sales for 3 weeks now:

Best rows available through ticketfly:
April 3 - Left Loge - Row M
Left Center row Z
Center Row HH
Right Center- Z
Right Loge- A

April 10 - Left Loge - Row M
Left Center row AA
Center Row HH
Right Center- Z
Right Loge- A

April 18 - Left Loge - Row M
Left Center row AA
Center Row JJ
Right Center- Z
Right Loge- B

very little movement...not sure why the band has not announced an opening act at this show..maybe that would help ticket sales..i know we are less then 3 months from the show..

Well having 98Rock promote the show was a mistake ..
Jackfm would have given better promotion then even The Bay ..
Jack Fm also plays more Scorps then 98 and The Bay

Hey Scott, whats up.. Hey maybe they can get the Van Halen Tribute Band for Merriweather. You were so right on that call last year. Not sure if you saw but VH announced they are cancelling 30 dates this summer because they are tired. All I can say is we Scorpion fans are a lucky bunch to still get to see a show that is solid and pretty much goes on as scheduled. Best, Mike

Mike, I posted about that VH thing and Scott says that it was cuz management tried to force them to do dates they hadn't approved. That the media has blown it out of proportion or sthg like that.

Van Halen will be making those dates up in the FALL..

So by the end of 2012------

Van Halen will play 76 north American Dates
Scorpions will play 20 north American dates

So i'm not sure Scorps fans are the lucky ones here in America..most venues will be half full on this farewell tour which will really look bad for the band..but since they have basically ignored america for the last 9 years they kind of deserve this for a so-called farewell tour..

THANKS AMEND AND THE SCORPIONS FOR ALLOWING THIS MAN TO RUIN THEIR CAREERS HERE IN AMERICA..

If you look at the sales of the tickets in LA, its pretty good. Only 1000 tickets left for Staples Center. Thats a success I think. So not bad I guess!

I blame lackluster promotion and radio station participation and of course, I blame Amend for obviously not giving a *** about the country that got things started for our boys!!!
Wilhelm, if you knew how many tens of thousands of Scorps fans from the 80's grew older with the idea that Scorps were long gone, you would be shocked. I thot they were long gone in the 90's until in 2007 I thot of them and me and a musician friend looked them up on the computer and found this place. And the rest, as they say, is history!! I was thrilled since I had loved them since 1984 and didn't realize they were still around. I was shocked and amazed and beyond excited that this wonderful band with that incredible singer were still touring and cutting albums, etc. Since then, I have met many who say they didn't know they were still active!! sigh....it's sad. Cuz now they are actually going to be gone and so many here STILL don't know they are still active AND now are finally going to retire. It's too late for thousands here!! And what's worse? In most cities, except for California cities of course, there is still no promo or radio participation for their last and FINAL tour here!!!!!!!!! What does that say hun? Makes ya wanna hurl!! :puke-huge:
