I only wish it will not be one of those tactical boring matches where they just study each-other

0-0 .....but it's been a match full of emotions......

Nada, what about Bayern? i just know they won 2-0......good result, Bayern has a step on semifinal

Dear Hans and Adry

Do I need to make the history of the last 25 years of Milan Bayern Munich ??????

surely Milan won much more than Bayern in last years......and i'm agree about the point of view of Hans......
if you check the situation of the money of italian teams.....you'll find few Fottball society with a positive balance, and A.C.Milan,-Inter Milan-Juventus are some of the society with a very "red balance".
Bayern Munich is one of the few football society in the world with a positive balance.
There is a total different way to live football in Germany compared to Italy. :)

Once again, i think germans did it better than italians

P.S.:about me.....i just like to watch football matches, and i like Bayern and Juventus, but i'm not a real fan/supporter

yessss 2-0 for Bayern in MArseille! i watched the game and I can say i am satisfied, they totally controlled the game, but the referee did give away too much yellow cards, Lahm got one for objecting a card given to kroos, and Schweini got one and will miss next match too..gladly next match is supposed to be an easy one..

on the contrary, this result for Milan-Barca makes the next game for them much more exciting and important than Bayern's next game!

Cheeers and Congrats to my fellow Bayern fans, especially Hans (I know ure a Moenchengladbach fan but I recall you being a fan of Bayern as well :D) and Adry!

THAT was a phenomenal match. PHENOMENAL.

APOEL vs Real 0:3
Benfica vs Chelsea 0:1
Barça vs Milan 0:0
Olympique vs Bayern 0:2

These are my words, too! At this stage it should be on different time, for example at 8p.m. first match and the second one on 10p.m.

yes, as long as they play in european tournaments I cross my fingers also for Bayern.
Years ago I sweared to myself to hate Bayern Munich for the rest of my life, but nowadays that's hard, because when you listen to interviews of the players you see that are really nice guys (especially Schweinsteiger and Müller). Nevertheless I'm happy when they loose a match in the Bundesliga and then I listen to this song:

Hans wrote:England: In England you can buy a football team (but I don't know how exatly this works). So some russian billionaires who don't know what to do with their money put it in these clubs. Once Uli Hoeness said, if Abramowitsch had to pay one billion to win the UEFA champions league he would do it. Or look at Manchester City which had always been a mid ranked team. Now they are standing on top of the Premier League because of a russian patron.

Here I do not go along with you. I`ve asked myself a couple of times why the hell billionairs do not buy clubs with great history as Liverpool or Nottingham Forest.. And belive me, the answer IS NOT that they have so much money that they don`t know where to spent them :?

Well, let`s say.. business intersest  It`s not about the "love" towards football at all. So, as you may know Chelsea is the club of "the rich" in England. So buying that kind of club, you ... in this case Abramovich, is accepted much more easily (having in mind he`s a foreigner and that englishman do not accept them at all) in a limited circle :!:

Why the citizens.. I can`t say, but am pretty sure it`s connected with business too ;)

Now, I`m deadly tired and didn`t read the rest of your post but I`ll return back and take a look  8) 8)

Ah, now I think I got what you mean Curry.
And no, I don't think we have different opinions. In fact I don't know why these billionaires buy these clubs I just know that they do it. That's why I said 'they have so much money that they don't know what to do with it.

Maybe there are economic reasons or maybe others, I simply don't know.

Ah, I love to discuss football with you.

So let me tell you about Bulgaria. In the mid 90`s, only "dark" businessmen bought football clubs. They did that to "wash" their dirty money. Now, when somebody buy a club, it`s because it makes him or his business popular  Nobody really cares about football. It`s all about the business, baby! Sad but true

oh, really? I must admit I don't know too much about bulgarian football. Ok, since about 2 years I know a little about CSKA Sofia. And I follow the national team in the qualifiers, but that's really all I know.

But have you heard, Abramowitsch will spend again 130 mio € (from his own money) for new players. If so, I hope Chelsea never wins the champions league.

when it comes to a match Barca - Milan I surely cross my fingers for Milan. Not that I would hate Barca or something like that. There are other reasons.

btw. I hate the spanish tiki-taka system. These matches are boring to watch.

just look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiki-taka

It's the kind of game when a team has a high amount of ball-possession. These teams play the ball with short passes from one player to the next without really attacking the opponent. It's more like to tire the opponent and waiting that there is a hole in the defense and then trying to use this gap. This results to ball possessions about 70% but most of the time happens nothing.

In 2006 the argentine national team played like this and from 2008 on also the spanish team - ok, only against strong opponents. Just watch the matches spain - portugal, spain - germany and the beginning of the match spain - netherlands ('til the oranjes decided that they didn't want to get spoofed).

Hi Elton,

usually I am not a friend of the Catenaccio but I think this is the only way for Milan to reach the semi-final. Hope Milan's defense is a hard nut to crack for Messi & Co.

Thank you Hans, I appreciate it, well what can I say, this one will be really difficult..... like I said last week I only wish to see a nice match, not one of those boring study each-other matches. As for tactics, indeed they both will do what they do better..... Have a good match everybody.....!!!!!!
