i hope it will include show in Canada too. i love Kiss and Motley Crue.
Hope vince Neil will not quit Motley Crue too....

Seems we can not do a lot about their setlist, i emailed Matthias about this sometime but he don't answer this.
when the tour started in 2010 they played song like Animal Magnetism, He's a woman, she's a man, Is there Anybody there, 321, we'll burn the Sky. and the setlist get shorter after a couple of show...

I know someone on the inside with KISS and their manager Doc Mcghee and they have confirmed that it's pretty much a done deal. This tour will be like the Aerosmith/KISS tour from 2003. Both bands will play the same amount of time 90 minute set with a small opening act. It's suppose start around August and going through December..I will be first in line to get tickets. This will be a massive tour playing in front of 20,000 a night. Expect dates in Montreal,Toronto,Calgary,Vancouver and maybe Quebec.

Maybe the Scorpions will go to Vegas for a month like Motley Crue is doing right now.

Now that would be interesting. :)

Maybe the Scorpions can win some money in Vegas and continue this farewell tour for two more years...

That might be pushing it a bit. I was thinking Vegas for a month might be good for them. :)

And Alice Cooper is special guest for the first 15 shows..so Alice Cooper is now not a option for the Scorpions North American tour..If not's not Chickenfoot it will be a 80's hair metal band which will mean empty arenas..

I think it will depend on the hair metal band. Maybe they will find a couple that will bring in the crowds. I wouldn't be that quick to judge.

OMG i'm happy! Iron Maiden is confirmed... it has been a longtime that there was rumour of Iron Maiden North American tour 2012.
well, i hope the Hard rock metal fan will do like me, come to see both show. maybe there will not be a lot of people at the scorpions show..
1 more reason to book scorpions only in Montreal and not Quebec city...
Bring the tour date!

I'll be at both!

I think they should perform in Quebec City, the crowd is hungry for rock and roll. Montreal is okay but they are spoiled with all the concerts they get.

Okay I want them to play both. But it's hard - in 2010 one weekend I was seeing Iron Maiden, the next it was the Scorpions. I'm afraid it will happen again!

If only Scorpions could do a tour like this. If they are in fact touring the states this summer what's taking them so long to announce the dates?? They should look at Iron Maiden and how they set up their tours. They know it's going to take about 4 months to sell tickets.
Can't wait to catch a couple Maiden shows in Texas, and revisiting the Maiden England tour should be amazing.

Only one thing to say about your statement...

BAD MANAGEMENT!!!!! This is exactly what has killed the Scorpions career here in North America the last 10 years

The way things are going maybe they will have to delay their retirement for another year until 2013. Booking venues and finding opening acts is going to get hard.

Yeah I agree Iron Maiden has the ideal set up. Including the First to the Barrier stuff they do. But then again, they have an official fan club that you have to pay to be a member every year.

I really think we need to stop concentrating on who the opening group is. Maybe they will do small venues and have just them? Or a local band plus them. Small and intimate works if you ask me! Then some large concerts in to end it with. Along with the special guests like they are having in France for their final date.

I would be very happy with that. Right now, the only thing I want is WHEN!. :)

Well we have said this a number of times..The band on a farewell tour can not go back to playing small places. It does not look good for the band. Especially when the band was playing arenas and stadiums all across our country in their heyday. This last tour of NA has to be in Arenas and ampitheaters. So they will need a very good special guest for them to go out on top.

How does it not look good for the band? Sure, they want to go out with a bang but they are also returning a second time on a farewell tour. Seems like you're damned if you do/don't kind of scenario.

There is no shame in playing smaller dates and ending with some major ones in my opinion.

I really wish there would be more positiveness on this forum from the North American fans. They ARE coming back here, lets just enjoy it in whatever venue, large or small that they play.

Be happy, they will be playing here that's all that matters!

How many time do they have to return to tour France, Russia. North America made them big not France or Russia.

scorplady i'm not being negative even Matthias agrees with me on playing arenas over theaters and clubs..

read below

http://www.guitarworld.com/interview-ma ... -comeblack

"We would like to be remembered as Scorpions in top form. I’ve seen too many bands that missed their point. All of a sudden, they don’t play arenas anymore, and then it’s the theaters and then the clubs,” said Jabs, who joined the band in 1978 and played on all of their biggest hits, including “Rock You Like a Hurricane” and “Wind of Change.” “We don’t want to see ourselves aging onstage.”

enough said!!!!!

Sure, North America got them to where they were known throughout the world. Does that mean they should spend the rest of the tour here? Of course not. And tanker, you've seen the crowds in France just like I have, you will not find the same passion here from the whole crowd like that. It's different, just like Japanese fans are different from North American fans.

I don't blame the Scorpions one bit for spending more time in places like France and Russia. I am jealous of course, but essentially they are going to play where they are the most popular and at this point I'm going to say in France and Russia that they have no trouble filling seats.

We are going to see them again here in North America and that is the point I am trying to make. I didn't expect them to after the 2010 tour but they will be and I am very happy.

I just hope they announce things soon. Maybe they have a surprise for us and will be doing some special shows for us.

Positive energy brings positive energy, think happy things and lets all hope for the best for their North American tour. :)

Yes I've seen the passion from the fans in France and Germany and other countries in Europe. Fans overhere would have the same passion if they got the chance to see them more and once during their farewell tour. That is all that I was trying to say and yes I too am waiting to see where they are playing.
