Scorpions in the USA?

Matthias just confirmed yesterday to a reliable source that the Scorpions will be playing North America from Early June to late July!!! the amount of shows is not determined yet. So it looks like it will be a amphitheater/arena tour just like 2010.

Well since Van Halen has Kool And The Gang openning for them ,,
Maybe The Scorps can have KC And The Sunshine Band open for them

i would like some band like; Bonfire, Pretty Maids, Sinner, Gamma Ray, Helloween, Running Wild.... well. it won't happen. In 2007 when i saw them the opener was a band called the Room, they sounded like the new sound of Bon Jovi and a little bit like Bryan Adams...i would like something heavy.

The most jammed packed I have ever seen.....even with 15 nights of Allman Brothers shows every March in the past. Granted it's only 2700 seats, it was amazing show mainly because at least 5 songs were not part of the grossly over-performed World Wide Live setlist. Hoping the band can strive to change it up ALOT..

Many comments on this site say the band should play at certain places or venue sizes for their fans. What is most paramount for a fan focused show is changing the setlist, whether it be in front of 10,000; 7,500; 5,000, or 2000, or even 900!

AMEN....change the set list and get good opening acts so they can finish their career here in North America in the big arenas and amphitheaters to packed houses...

Scott: Bands like Sinner,Gamma Ray,Helloween,Running Wild play power metal,I think too heavy for the ears of a Scorpions fan,that's my personal opinion

I'm 36 years old and you can't imagine how many bands I have seen in my career (Gamma Ray,Helloween,just to mention the bands you wrote) I repeat,they are good bands but they play a kind of music too different from Scorpions,I also like the album Operation Mindcrime but you can't compare Queensryche to Scorpions,they have created an own style that no one will able to copy,this is the difference between a GREAT band and a normal one

Gamma Ray opened for Scorpions in France only for 1 show i think.

well the opener in North America will not be a band from Europe.

I think Saliva, or Shinedown would be great bands to open for the Scorpions . Cinderella was awsome opening for them at the DTE in 2010. Much better than the band that opened for them in 2007 ~ I have no idea if they were a folk or country , or some other odd music to be opening for a legendary Metal band .... all I know is that I was ready to go out of my mind by the time the Scorps stepped on stage around 9pm.

Saw shinedown last night in newcastle excellent gig i think they would be great touring with the scorpions
