Opening Acts for the upcoming USA 2012 Tour?

Okay this topic is for the people who will be attending this summer's North American shows..

Who do you want as the Special Guest or opening acts??

I want Chickenfoot or Black Country Communion or Accept!!!

one act would be great with a 2 hour classic Scorpions show

7:30-8:30- Special Guest
9:00-11:00- Scorpions

Anybody that rocks is okay in my book but i would love to see Europe open for the scorps

Chickenfoot would be a great idea. It would be a good counterweight and draw to compete with the Van Halen tour. But if they go with a more " metal " opening act , it should be a younger newer metal band to attract more people. I don't know of any off hand but im sure there are a few. Its going to be tough because Van Halen and Metallica , are doing big tours this year in a bad economy...the Scorps have to choose their opening acts wisely.And MORE PROMOTION !

Also,It would be cool and a good draw if Chickenfoot opened and the Scorps would come out to jam with them on their set and vice versa . Sammy and Mike are cool dudes and i could see them rolling with that...Seeing Sammy and Klaus singing on an old Zeppelin cover , or Matthias , Rudy and Satriani jamming together would be f'n killer ! Is someone here logged into CF's site forum ? Float the idea.

I would love to see Chickenfoot or Lenny Kravitz open. My brother in law saw Chickenfoot in Atlanta and said they just tore it up rockin! So I'd love to see them. I love Lenny Kravitz too.

Include Slash to my list of possible special guest on the Scorps upcoming USA tour..Have you heard his new Live CD..WOW amazing guitar work plus singer Myles Kennedy has an amazing voice..Slash would also attract a bigger crowd which should put the Scorps in big venues across North America..

Not to sure about Slash drawing a big crowd here in Canada but it a good choice. I would love to see them with Nickleback but they are touring this spring, the only problem is the Scorpions would have to open up for them but Nickleback does use alot of pyro for their shows which would bring back the old days for Scorpions when they did the samething.

Let's hope it will be a band that fit with Scorpions. not something like and Kool and The Gang opening for Van Halen.

I don't know the music of chickenfoot, i can not talk about it..
I would like Pretty Maids or Bonfire, but it will not happen. I'm almost sure it will be a band from the USA.

Not to sure about Slash drawing a big crowd here in Canada but it a good choice. Nickelback will never happen even though i love the band..they are huge here in North America...And since the Canadian version of this tour will probably be only be 3 cities..Toronto,Montreal and Quebec City..Slash would be a good touring partner...the key for this summer's tour is have a special guest that will bring in a good size crowd..if this was the 80's the Scorps would need a new unknown opening act.

I still think Chickenfoot is the best idea. Its a good band for us fans agegroup and they have a hit on the radio " Bigfoot " that gets played quite often. People obviously know who they are here in the US because its a supergroup with well known members.

If they dont go that rout it may be a good idea to get a younger band to attract younger fans. The motive behind their choice should be what will create the best draw for people. And PLEASE no old 80's act like Ratt or Great White. That makes it too 80's nostalgic.

Exactly the Scorpions need a band that are revelant in 2012..that is why i posted the 4 bands above..all those bands have released new CD's in the last year...

The thing is, Sammy is a cool dude ( although i dont agree with some of his views ) and i can bet that he would like nothing better than to have a rocking tour to compete with VH. Scorps and the Foot would be a hard bill to beat. Sammy always puts on a party and a show and the Scorps?...that goes without saying. It would be a kick ass bill.

To tell you the truth , Sammy and Klaus were my two favorite vocalists from the 80's. Both a unique voice and always sing on key ! Haha ! If it doesn't happen then oh well, but they need a good opening act. If they pull a cheeseball act it wont be as good of a draw.

The other option would be to have the Scorps skip an opening act and play a 3 hour show but that may be a bit too much.

They have to do this right because the economy is absolute *** here despite of the election year propaganda. Im watching the VH tour real close to see how they sell, if they are struggling its going to be a tough road for the Scorps here.

3 hour show would never happen even though it's a good suggestion..Klaus's voice can not handle a tour like that in 2012 and the Scorps are not big enough to do a tour here in North America by themselves. The Scorps would lose so much money on half filled places here.

but i agree with you on the Scorps/ Chickenfoot tour..plus since the Scorps/Sammy and Micheal Anthony being great friends they could pull off a jam at the end of the Scorps set..

Maybe a Scorps/Chickenfoot with opening act Accept..that would pack arenas and amphitheaters this summer..Accept is releasing a new CD in May..so all three bands are relevant in 2012 we new material..

Saw their show in Zurich 2010 and there was no opening up act, they still played the same set nothing was added to it.

Well Uli is out he announced it to fans on his recent USA tour..there will be no USA shows involving him. And Herman told me last week he has not been approached about any future shows with the Scorpions. So the Scorpions will need a special guest or opening act for this summer..

So back to the topic!!!!
