Our review part 2

Unread postby katerina » December 25th, 2011, 4:14 pm

We know we are a tiny little bit late, but we felt we still owed our readers a second part
After a long and well deserved sleep, your press team picked up their photographer, and set off for Brussels. Your reporter's car should know the way by itself by now, it was the 3rd time in 3 days it took the road from OCC to Brussels (1st time was to collect the redaction at the airport). After finding the venue, we parked the car at a decent walking distance, and after some discussions about going with or without coat, we decided to face the chilly Belgian November weather, and went without coat. To quote Alizée: coat is not rock 'n' roll. We arrived at the venue around 1830 and there was already a decent queue in front of us, so we were looking at each other, a bit doubting if we would still find a good spot in the first 5 rows. Not so much for ourselves, but we wanted Cindy to see the show from a good place. The closest she had ever been was last year in Mons, and that must have been about 20th row. We had explained her it's a completely different experience when you are more close.

After the doors opened, we were let in through different queus, formed by barriers, a bit like sheep being led to the place to be shaved (or slaughtered?). Your reporter had been in Vorst one time before and rather quickly found the sign indicating where the "parterre" was. When we arrived the first 2 rows at the end of the T were more or less completely taken, but we could secure a spot for Cindy in the 2nd row, for Katerina in the 3rd row, and your reporter really had a dream spot this time, right behind Katerina. On our left, in the first rows we spotted Alizée, MLine, Haley and Natka, on our right, at the corner of the T (Klaus side during CtC) Adriano and Salvatore and some other crazy Italians. Some places left of us, in 2nd or 3rd row, we saw Kristof, Joanne and Joshua. A bit later we also noticed Ruta and Marina, more on the left side of the T. On the right side of the T, beyond the corner, some places to the front, were Marc, Nancy, Ron, Philip and many other Belgians. Also when looking more to the front, still at our right, there were familiar faces, for example a Dutch couple, that also was in Dortmund last year. On the other side of the T, about halfway between the end of the T and the stage, we saw again that happy face from St. Petersburg, that we still remembered from the night before.
Later we also noticed a group of people completely in the front at Rudolf side, that seemed to be separated from the rest of the audience. We could recognise Curry, Emilie and Diego there and understood that that had to be the people that got a VIP ticket.
At a certain point we were looking at each other like "what, has the concert already started?" but it was another kind of hurricane. It was David, making his way to the first rows like an ice-breaker, with Marta in his wake.

There have already been so many fantastic reviews, for which we thank everybody, that we wan be short about the concert itself. For both of us it was one of the better shows we have seen, and it was a fantastic treat to hear "In trance" of course. In the way Klaus was talking about the FOS, before the song, it sounded like he had read/heard some of the things that were written on the forum, some of the lines sounded almost like direct quotes.
It was also a special concert for us, because it was the first Scorps one we attended really together, close to each other.

And of course:
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY! :D

Note of the reporter:
reason for part 2 being delivered so late, is entirely because the reporter kept delaying to deliver the material to the redaction.

Thank you both for the review, Katie and Hans! :)
I was always convinced that preceding and subsequent events are more entertaining than the concert itself. And your review only proves this.

Heeeyy!!!! Katerina, Hans - than you guys for this "belated" part - though it's never too late  - and, yep, once again your review "revived" the memories of that amazing rock-weekend I had with all of you!!! Yep.. just indescribable feelings, and I'm so happy that I had this chance to meet you, talk to you, as Gianluca said, not via cold keyboard, but "live" -and I still feel the spirit of our Delirium meeting, and the show as well :) - and it makes my "happy face from St Petersburg" shine in the happiest smile again and again :) - thank you guys for giving me those wonderful moments!!! :)
And, I don't remember whether I said it before, but, Katerina and Hans, I'm so happy that Scorpions' music joined one more couple of hearts :D -I saw your happy shining faces and yep, I'm happy for you - and wishing you long live and prosper :D :D
And.. I'm still keeping my dream alive of seeing all of you in Munich in October.....
Best wishes, Nadya

It's great to be here, to see you all!

@Adrian: Not really, I was just in front of Matthias :D (and I had time to admire his 1001 guitars  )
@Ron: I never went to Lille :/ It's not so far but hardest to come back home than Brussels. If I had one year more and a car, there wouldn't be any problem! :)
