I just wanted to say 'hi.' My name is Austin.

I am from Oregon, where I am completing a PhD in British history. I play drums, bass, guitar, piano, and ukulele. I love playing Scorpions songs on all of these instruments--especially ukulele!

I am a big fan of almost all periods of Scorpions music, but especially the period b/w '79 and '93. I missed them when they came to the West Coast last year, but I will not miss them in 2012!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to making new friends here.

Thanks, Adriana, Gabi, and Leb Yellow Butterfly! I'm very touched to meet new Scorpions fans from around the world, since there aren't many people in my neighborhood who think putting on "Lovedrive" and playing along is 'fun.' Thanks!

Anyway, DeepandDark--I will definitely post some clips of my Scorpions playing on the uke. I want to get a few more dazzling pieces under my belt before I try to show off.

I know the Scorps are winding down their career, but it's great to meet a bunch of people who have been brought together by this German rock band. Danke schoen for the warm welcome!
