Shouldn't have surrendered so quickly! We should always believe in ourselves. No matter who has been the best over the years, there's always a chance to do it better. But whoever wins, remember: "It's not the kill, it's the thrill of the chase!" 8)

First of all, I really HATE Jurgen Klinsmann!!!! He grow up in the same city like me, Stuttgart Germany we used to be at the same school and he was one of that kind of fellows who You wanna knock out every day for beeing arrogant and upnosed cuz he was a better football player like we others was. This and various other reasons made me NOT to be a soccer fan, my favourite sport is:
AMERICAN football, I watch all NFL games and every year the first weekend in February I waste a fortune to travel to the biggest single sports events of the world
Next time is Indianapolis for Superbowl XLVI
Hope always dies last, so I dream about to see my Vikings there...

But back to the topic, Lyon load in is done, the crew is setting up the stage. After 25 hrs driving time with two breaks for rest I arrived at Halle Tony Garnier last nite 11pm where the tucks from LST France with the local PA and lights where already there

Now it´s up to the CrazyScorps fans from France to take the challenge and top the Lisbon audience.
It´s gonna be a tough job for them cuz as I mentioned before. Lisbon crowd was incredible so surpise me and top them.

Yet Portugal has not been beated. 16000 Lyonnaise fans where not even close to that yelling and screaming audience like Lisbon. I´ve seen even in first few rows people just standing and watching the show like it is just another afternoon talk show. Some of them looked like they´ve been at the wrong gig...... I don´t wanna say that the entire audience was lazy or bothered but the tiny little lightning which ignites a "fan-firework" was missed and thats what made the Lisbon show quite uniqe and remarkable.

Today now we´ve got an off day in Toulon, since Lyon we are 7 Trucks plus two buses, we´re all parked up at the Omega Zenith after we arrived around 9:00am. Walking downtown noontime we drivers found a little restaurant offering pizza and steaks. The chef is doubtless the craziest pizza baker I´ve ever met in my life. Believe it or not, but to roll the bottom of a pizza he uses an enormous sized dildo!!!!!!!! The dimension of the pizza is just inches smaller than a truck wheel and it tasted phantastic. Also the steaks he serves are delicious and as large as a bath towel. The only small thing there was the invoice. I am sure he forgot to charge a few beers on purpose but we tipped him very good for this.

Now back in the trucks to have some rest and get back the missed sleep of the last nite just to be ready for the same thing again tomorrow morning, load in setup the stage, load out and onwards to the next show.

Exactly truck driver !!
I'm glad you brought that up.
I'm beggining to believe thats why this official home base forum isn't what it should be.

This forum should be screaming with excitement from our European Scorpion friends sharing all the fun and great memories, photo's and thoughts from the first 3 shows now played.
2011's final leg of the Scorpion's tour is rolling and I'm hearing only Lisbon, rocked that band like a hurricane.....
!6,000 should have had that stage rocking so hard, that Klaus shouldn't have been able to stand up.....
Are people not getting it, this is the "farewell tour", Klaus has been singing his heart heart to you for 40 years, and there is NO EXCUSE for anyone of those 16, 000 in attendence to not have sang with him on his last time with you, the words to everyone of those songs.
Do you know how amazing it feels when 16,000 people are singing together.
The set list is the same, they added the link below....Learn it and get out there and sing it with the band!!
It doesnt matter how well you sing, it matters that you do !!!
Watch on youtube.com

It's time to get the party started in here !!!
Normal is just a cycle on the washing machine....

Hi Roxanne,

You shouldn't make your judgements too early.
There aren't too many french fans here, perhaps due their own fansite, it is the reason of not hearing excited screamings, photos, etc, but just wait for the Brusselshow, for example.
I am sure, you will hear everything after the show that you are expecting, and seeking now.

It's what said Gabi, I'm probably the most frequent french on this forum. I try to share my experience with a objective eye, but sometime some people don't like when I say that the show was bad (*** audience or robot on stage), so now I make short review.
And maybe because I saw them many, maybe too much time (Today is my 60th show), I can do the difference when the band has a real smile and when is just acting.
About the audience, is more difficult because I'm always on the 1st row and cannot see behind me
But for sure the french audience are really bad ! And I'm french .... I was 2 time in Russia and 1 time in Greece, that's very good fans ! (Bratislava ans Budapest too Gabi  )
I hope next summer I could travel to US to see at least one show there, but for the moment it is the french tour.

For my pictures you'll wait because I have a reduce internet, so I will manage everything when I'll be back home (after brux)

The one last thing, I saw worst audience than in Lyon and it was in Germany .... (Berlin 2010 and Saarbrüken 2011 !)

THX Del not leaving me alone with my opinion about the Lyon show

I have also been to Lyon with other bands like Dream Theater, Ministry, both at the Transbordeur, I ´ve been with Coldplay at Tony Garnier as well with George Michael in 2006. So different genres of music but unfortunately always the same cosidering the audience, the fan lightning wasn´t there.

Why? Can anybody tell me what fench fans need to explode or are they just not able to...

So today there´s a new chance for having a grat audience and for not beeing to far away from Italy may be some influences of the Italian temperament will push teh audience
