It was August 4th 2007 the Scorpions played at the Faroer Island so far the northern most part of Europe they ever played.
To get there I took a ferry from Hirtshals in Denmark and the trip took 70 hrs to Thorshavn port. Even it was summer the north sea was stormy and the big chains the vessel crew used to fix the truck on deck where quite necessary. It´s been a small ship not kind of those used for channel crossing to UK or the scandinavian ferries.
There and back just the travel time by boat was 139hrs all together, I never was longer on a boat like these days

And of course the Rod Stewart hit was "sailing"

.and the next question, it´s more something Ya will have to estimate cuz nobody infact the crew chief, the production manager and me knows it really.

How man meters of cable, I also accept the estimation in feet for our US friends is needed to run a Scorpions show. I´m asking for a show like today in a big size Arena, not open air shows
It is something between 4000 meters (12000 feet) and 33000 meters (about 100000 feet)
The closest estimation to the correct size will win, deadline for any answers is after midnight GMT tonite, so something less than 11hrs from now on. I will let the winner know somwhen tomorrow when traveling towards Lyon in France so be patient ´til I find public webaccess in Spain
