Thanks for that Sarah Jane. I wouldn't be going to Download for 2 reasons - 1) I don't do festivals any more. 2) I'll be away on holiday when Download is on :)

I also heard that the Scorps are not interested in a festival in UK unless they are 'headlining', and we all know without major, major promotion that won't be happening.

Tickets for Download go on sale this Friday Nov. 18th at 9.00.....

Metallica on Saturday night and Black Sabbath on Sunday....so that leave Friday without a headlining act....
I know God will not give me anything I can't handle.
I just wish that He didn't trust me so much.

Hopefully Metallica will play more than the one gig in the UK next year because I would love to see them play the 'Black Album' track for track :D
Also, I'll be flying back from Spain whilst they are playing at Download. Which means I'd also be unavailable if the Scorps DO headline Friday (not that I'd be going if I was available ....)

This is a quote from an interview Klaus did for the Classic Rock Magazine

Here’s the million dollar question: The band’s Final Sting farewell tour has already run for nearly two years, without any British dates. This situation must change before it finishes. What’s going on?

Meine: Of course we want to come back to the UK, and many fans have come to our website to say: ‘Scorpions, come on. You can’t do a farewell tour without playing in Britain’. That’s true. Our dream would be to part of the Download Festival next year. That would be fantastic. Our management is working hard to put us back on the UK map because we know we have many fans in this country and it’s been too long since we played here.
