We shouldn't have to, but unfortunately this kind of thing took off in a big way in the US last year and they obviously made a lot of money out of it. Bands have started doing this in the UK as well. When Kiss came their M&G was £1,000 each, so I suppose €150 isn't that bad, but I can understand peoples frustration when this kind of thing hasn't happened before and there is no other way of meeting them.

It's a good question and I for one (even if I could afford it) wouldn't be paying to meet them. I pay to see them perform, I don't pay to see them outside their line of work

That´s an interesting way of thinking, too.I have never met them in person, and never tried to (once I was checking some hotels in Athens, because a friend from abroad had a present to give them...) , BUT, nevertheless, I think it´s not that clear anymore, whether meeting the fans outside of their hotelrooms, signing the autographs and changing a few words , is "outside their line of work" as you say it.
You could see it as a part of their PR to be available for the fans before and/or after the concert, but I still think it´s wrong or even unethical to ask money for it !!!! Especially when it all happens the way it did in USA, like in a factory, in a steady stream.

No way, not me anyway! We are all just normal everyday people, regardless of what we do for our living. Wouldn´t make any difference for me to meet a celebrity...

I'm a bit weird when it comes to money: once happiness appears as a product that you can buy, it doesn't work for me. Maybe that will freak out some of you, but I'm becoming difficult even about the concerts: I'm not attending performances anymore which I find overpriced. And to speak about our Scorpions, I also wouldn't see them again until the last show, if I hadn't got a ticket as a gift:-)))). Originally I was only going to Brussels for the trip itself and to meet everybody! Sorry, but when they play the same setlist for so long, where is the art?
About the M&G's, the thought of seeing someone who has set a price for those minutes and autographs destroys any "special" feeling about it for me.

... well, for me it's really sick to ask such money to meet few people, even though they are Scorpions. Yes, there are plenty of other FREE ways to meet the band and if it doesn't work... so what, it doesn't make you or your life better. That's my 2 cents...

I really don't get this way of management and of course there will be people who will give the last money for 5 or even less minutes to just take a picture?
