A very good novel by Maugham.
Sorry, I don't know the English tittle, and don't want to make my own, stupid translation.

Anovel by a hungarian femalewriter from the 60s, tittled: Leaping in dawn.
It's a family's story with two teensisters in the centre.
They are stepsisters, one of them unexpectedly leaps from home with her bf in a dawn.
Then we get to know the psichologic way till that day from every familymember's aspect.
It's an interesting, realistic story.

Finally, somebody else here also likes Agatha Christie besides me.
I enjoy her ideas, logic, and the way to the final solution of a dectevity.
Somehow I prefer MS. Marple's figure, and stories to Poirot's ones.

Yes, I also like Ms Marple character. Btw, it was my teacher of English who advised me to read detectives by Agatha Christie. Besides an intriguing plot I like the language very much - I'm reading the book in English. :)

:o
Gess what Galya?
I also used to have an english teacher, who suggested totally the same idea, to read Agatha Christie English.
Allthough I have already read, and have many e-books of hers in hungarian translation, I have an English audio-bookcollection of her stories.
The reading of the English speakers are amazing.

As for reading now: I have a Coelho-period again, (I have had another one some years ago).
Have finished Aleph, I was speechless, it is so wonderful one.
Now I read another one, which fascinates me, tittled: The Portobello witch.
It is an unique story about an unique lady, full of those spiritual thoughts that I like very much, and can accept them.

I finished last night: Detective of the library by Stephen King.
It was another exciting, great story of the master of horror, and thrillers.

His sense of fantasy is incredible, and I enjoy his notes to his books with a very good sense of humor, and good explanations about his inspirations to the certain novel.
