Scorpions in Romania again !!!

Because, finally we are going to travel by a car/minivan (the only way not to get days off from work - 2 days non-stop traveling), so...

...if someone don`t have anything to travel by, you can join us. We`re 2, and we have 5 more places. We`ll probably travel all night long (Friday) to Bucharest and leave the town in the very morning.

We`re not quite sure if we will be back from the same road or we`ll chose the shortest way - from Serbia, but.. al least someone can save money and travel free with us from Bucharest to Cluj

The stage is mostly different in the various countries the band plays. The reason is that those stages are always provided by the local promoter, as well as all PA systems and the lights.
Scorpions bring the backline and the video wall and part of the set like the flying drum riser etc.
As far I have heard from the local promoter there will be the same stage like it was used in Bucharest this summer but its quite possible there will be a stage extension into the audience like we had it at the last show in Donezk. Will kow more about it tomorrow when I´ll be at the arena

So if the lights are provided by the local promotor,it means that every different city got a different lightshow,...
and that the lights don't have nothing to do with the selection of songs?...I mean if they almost play every time the same songs,its not because of the lights,...

Promoters get a list of the needed PA and lites from the Scorpions production manager, The light show is programmed according to the set list of every show on the computer of the Scorpions Lighting director, so he just uploads his programming to the lite show console, The design of the lite show is always the same, it´s specially designed for this tour. Similar it is for the PA and the monitor system.Each "department" got it´s own programming and uploads it to the local equipment. This might seem to be quite complex but at the very end it is much more efficient.
The set lists vary sometimes but mostly it´s about the same songs following the choice of the band for the Get Your Sting and Blackout Tour. Just the video system is provided by the Scorpions, it travels all time with the backline. There are two complete Backline/Vidoe systems in use, this enables the Scorpions to play two shows within two days even when there´s a huge distances to travel. In this case one truck carries equipment for venue A whilst another truck is already at Venue B for the next show maybe 2000 miles away from Venue A.
Band and crew fly ovenite from A to B and setup the next show within a few hours. PA and lites are always rented so when there are some days off like we have it right now between Donezk and Cluj there are no rental costs for those off days. Some other bands plan their tours for two or three months in a year and play five or six shows a week; than it makes sense to have all equipment on the road during the tour.
A band like the Scorpions is touring continuously over the year with breaks in between, so this way avoids costs for everybody, last not least for the fans as well otherwise the ticket prices would be even higher than they are right now

And some tips for those who are coming to Cluj:

# If you come here by train try look fro TAXI companies such as Diesel Taxi - Phone: (0264)953 , Taxi Terra-Fan - Phone (0264)944 , Taxi Pritax - Phone (0264)942 . make sure you look for TAXI's that have a logo on them.

# Cluj Arena is at about 10 Mins from City Center so there are plenty of places were you can eat : Memo 10 , Wok'n'Rol ( boh have good food and cheap )

# Accommodations I will recommend Pensiunea Excelenta ( around 15 mins away from Cluj Arena ) http://www.turistinfo.ro/cluj_napoca/ca ... 63280.html , prices range starting from around 30 euro.

# After the concert I recommend going for a drink at Pergola http://www.qbox.ro/Cluj-Napoca/informat ... u-151.html , around 10 mins from Cluj Arena on the big hill called Cetatuia , the view from there is superb you can see almost whole city of Cluj.

about photo cameras, i have a panasonic FZ8, do you think they'll let me in with it? if not what will i do with it then? it's not professional but looks a bit smaller than a professional one.

I'm already at Golden Tulip Hotel in Cluj. Arrived this morning at 5.30.
Is there a special gate for golden ring? If rain stops i'll check the venue at noon.
