The Scorpions' Vaults: When they will be opened?

Hi all!

It's been nearly a Year and half since the very last and final Scorpions record (as the band announced it in 2010)

I can clearly remember the band saying there will be exciting releases after that. They said they have early German and Japan concerts footage, unreleased material, etc

Well, so the question is
When they'll start giving us those exciting releases?

As far we know, there's plenty of worth-having material, like Tokyo Tapes DVD (said to be on Herman Rarebell's vaults), the complete promo videos 1972-2010, Japan 1979, Dortmund 1983, any early 70s gigs, World Wide Live DVD, Rock in Rio 1985, etc, etc

I bet The guys have plans for all that stuff and I'm sure they will release it all in good time. Remember the guys have to sit down with Herman,Uli,Ralf,and Frances as well because they may have some cool stuff too.

This was brought up a long time ago...I hope they release it all in one lump like Kiss did with Kissology 1. And have a cool box set with it...rare songs, unreleased stuff. I want to see the whole concert of 1991s In concert 91. I know the whole thing was recorded so...we could get that.

I don´t believe they don´t have any plan or sensibility for the old stuff; and sitting down with Francis and asking if he has some cool stuff could be a problem...

I was just going to say the same thing. As much as I love the band I still cannot understand why they want to ignore this great era and leave these priceless videos to gather dust. I can see not doing it now that the current line-up in on tour, but once they call it quits, why not release it? We've had people listening to poor audience recorded bootlegs of the few show Michael did in 1979 so many of us would love to hear it in better quality and I'd love to see video of those shows. If they are in Dieter's vaults and the publishing rights or ownership have expired then he should release them himself.

Just wait and see or hope and pray? Maybe it will end like the Beach Boys - Smile recordings from 1966/1967. They will now be out in October 2011 - just 45 years of waiting!

I sure the guys will release all that footage, it just takes time.

So let's try not to worry about it so much it will happen, just not right this second.

I really hope Scorpions will give fans what we want

They have released billions of compilations (many of them unsolicited, really). So giving Vaults a chance would be so nice of them!

This year could be the year? Let´s hope there will be some stuff released besides the documentary by the end of the year. Rudy and Matthias has said they may be working with film material after tour. US-festival, Rock on Rio and Moscow Music of Peace Festival would be really cool as hole Shows on DVD/Blu-Ray.
