Has anybody seen Wim Wenders' movies "Wings of desire" and "So far, so close!"?
I've watched the later recently. I can't describe how touched I am...

And what do you think of Kim Ki Duk's "The Bow"?

I googled them , Galya , no ...I haven`t watched.

But I read their argument ...Wings of desire resembles City of angels , but with a more complex script ......and it`s second part is definetely a mess to read about it`s story, but seems quite interesting !!, I will try to find them .

Me, on the other side, haven't seen City of Angels. I also googled it and guess what! It's the remake of Wim Wenders' film!!! One more proof that Hollywood is able only to copy, not to create. Even the name of the second male-angel is the same - Cassiel!!! Hey, wait a minute! I might have seen this film... Maybe only parts of it... But still it's not as deep and charming as the original. Indeed, I was in a sort of trance while and after watching the Wings. And I like the poem in the beginning of the movie the most. Als das Kind, Kind war...

And I had to think of that title, when I was driving through Berlin earlier this week. Yes, I've seen it, but it's a long time ago. I only remember that it was beautiful. I might want to watch it again now.

Oh, City of Angels is definetly a great movie, one of my favourites with no doubt

Well I haven't watched it, but I watched "Wanted" yesterday and it was awesome

The Russian title is also translated as "the sky above Berlin", so "wings" is a bit confusing for me too.

"Der Himmel Über Berlin" and "In Weiter Ferne, So Nah!!" are classics. You can't choose between them. As for "The Bow", it was in the Kannes festival, if I'm not mistaken... And now I want to see other works of this director.
