Greetings from Maryland, USA.

Greetings everyone,
What can I say? I'm 38 years old, been listening to heavy metal since 1979, and was first introduced to the Scorpions music in 1983. While my brother was my main influence in music, his tastes jumped around over the years, while I've stayed true to Metal, my first musical love, ever since. While I have enjoyed everything the Scorpions have done musically, it is the 80s era that I feel most fond of.
I'm a Systems Administrator, and a concert photographer on the side. I love trying to capture the raw power and emotion that bands put into their live performances. I enjoy snowboarding, cycling, Parkour and spinning fire.

Glad to be here and be a part of this forum.
Kurt

Thanks everyone. It is so awesome to win the RYL package because I never win anything, EVER. I just figured I'd take a chance and enter anyway though. I'm glad I did.
@adriana: Parkour is so much fun and such a great workout. Most of the people I practice with are around half my age, but I usually end up wearing them down, and then keep going. If you'd love to do it, give it a try. But take it slow and safe to start out... it's unlike any other sport or exercise. Actually, it's considered more of a physical discipline, kinda like martial arts, but there so much more to it than just jumping around. There's a whole philosophy behind it that can be applied to nearly everything in life.
@AnnaNatalia: Fire spinning is so much fun. I've wanted to do it for years, but just never tried. I started practicing with sock poi about 5 months ago, and started spinning fire around a month ago. There's still so much to learn, and I think I will always be learning and trying new stuff with it. My avatar is a photo of me doing a "spiral-wrap".
@HANS33: That would be cool, but unfortunately I don't think 'dI have the time to be an adequate enough Sys Admin for the board ;)

The American Parkour Forum and website is probably the best place to start, as it is the definitive resource for Parkour on the Internet. They have tutorials and just a lot of really good information on Parkour and Freerunning:
